I have no issues flying sometimes from my vehicle but I never take it out past 1 km but most likely the car was causing the weak signal. At those distances I would fly it from outside. I have had multiple flights now with my Mini 2 in -10 to -20c and lower and no issues yet. I accept the risk because in my climate I would miss out on flying maybe 6 months of the year if I didn't fly it in any weather below 0c. Keep getting more flight time and practice. Doing great. Take care!
Yea i definitely think it’s the car combined with the cold. Although i’ve seen UA-camrs flying big distances from their car - so who knows. I can’t wait for the spring for more range tests 😎 that said, the snowy landscapes make for fantastic aerials. thank you!
@@RyanLogan01 It will also have a big effect if you are down low surrounded by trees. If you get up on a hill somewhere or somewhere more flat your range will be much better.
yea i’m not brave enough to fly it over the ocean haha i’ve seen people lose it even though they came back with more than half battery. 3KM is a decent distance though!
Hello there... Flying your Mini 2 in such cold weather, - 10C* or so is quite dangerous of you don't firstly warm up the battery to 35C* at least before you take off.. If you have any questions and such stuff ask, just please be careful with your new baby eagle! Sweet PS: I fly every day! 😁🇧🇬🛸
Hi there, thanks for the tip, yea i’ve been very careful with it, I kept the batteries in the bag, contained in another bag in the car haha. I am definitely not taking risks in the cold, but looking forward to warmer weather soon. gonna start calling my mini 2 my baby eagle, I love it. thank you 😬
It’s possible that being inside the car was interfering with the signal. Think of the car as sort of a Faraday Cage.
I have watched many people fly in their cars, but I think you’re right, it probably interferes with the Ocusync for sure
Great work! 👍
thank you, much appreciated!
like 14 its really nice upload
thank you so much 🙏🏽

thank you so much I appreciate it!!!
better to have it than lose it. I just done test over beach and sand hear I got 3km at 45M could have gone more but come back had 2 bars CE one.

You can damage the gimble by tipping the drone. Watch a video of a guy that used the same technique until the drones gimble broke.
thank you for heads up! It looked cool but it’s probably something I shouldn’t be doing lol.
Question - what was your altitude?
Tim it was about 700m above sea level. flew it up to almost 1,000m at one point, but I think the Mini 2 can handle up to 4,000m so i was well below :)
