      Just do it. Nobody can really catch you for it unless you cross into something or you post it to UA-cam.
      The legal route is to get a 107 license.

      @johnkeo358 2 місяці тому

      @Rocketman0407 107 still restricts you to 120 meters unless you're flying next to a tall object

    • @Rocketman0407
      @Rocketman0407 2 місяці тому

      @@johnkeo358 okay I am in Mexico. On the DJI fly app go to settings there should be a slider with max elevation. I think there is a button there that says unlock and you fill out an application. If not go on the map in the app and put down a pin where you want to fly a window will come up saying with zone it is max elevation and some other stuff. Click on unlock or where the numbers for the max elevation is and fill out a form. It’s not guaranteed it will work, but worth a try.
      If not you can allways “Jailbreak” the drone.

      @@Rocketman0407- thats just a jacked up response. As a former flight engineer with 5000 hrs., i can personally tell you what its like to hit an object at 600 mph. You might see a flash a split second as the object zips past the windscreen, followed by a loud noise when it slams into the fuselage or wing, or WORSE, an explosion from getting ingested into the engine…. The pilots and crew will be stunned initially trying to asses the damage… then… the real fun begins as the nightmare starts to unfold. The pilots will start to notice their flight controls are acting strange… or you’ll see hydraulic systems start to fail… the. All sorts of warning light come on… some expected some not… so your mind will try to tie the systems together to figure out how to isolate it. Then you hear the captain say something crazy like… i cant control it… call mayday…we have to put it down now.. find an open field or something. During the plethora of calls and radio relays you know those is not gonna end well. You’ve seen the simulator enough times to know your odds. Desperate to find the answer to the problem you keep fighting… but you are quickly running out of time…. And start preparing for a crash landing.. family starts to flash… passengers start screaming….
      Now.. how are you gonna remember this moment when your precious drone doesn’t come home and you hear about the crash and those that perished? What do u do when the FAA and police come to your door cause they know… it was you. How are you impacted… cause you said, “screw it, just do it”. From all the thousands of Aircraft crews flying at any moment. I say SCREW U.

    One question: does it take more battery to hover than it does to fly at low speed? assuming no wind

    • @AMgeorgia
      @AMgeorgia  7 місяців тому +1

      It takes less energy to stand still than to fly at low speed because in any flight some or all of the engines use more energy and there is more air resistance.

    • @arkbox1
      @arkbox1 3 місяці тому +1

      @@AMgeorgia Study the issue. There is an optimal speed for a copter, at which it has the lowest energy consumption, even compared to hovering. Hovering is not the most economical mode for a copter.

      You need to get a waiver from DJI to unlock the 500 meter restriction, chances are slim if you don't have a Pilot license since they are going to ask this. This policy varies by country.

      @@AMgeorgia Hello. I don't know if you know, but DJI drones not only have droneID, but they also shared such information much earlier and with the right equipment that DJI itself provided to airport operators and services, it was possible to collect such information. Who and at what time and how high was flying and in exactly which GPS location the drone took off, how far it flew and from the starting point how high it flew. Today it is even easier thanks to dromeID. In Europe, you can fly up to 120 m in class C.0 or in C1 120 m from the highest point under the drone, but only up to 500 m. I tried to test unlock the zones and ceiling and always received a refusal and a request to provide the required permits.
