Just purchased my Mini 4 pro. And I flew it for the 1st time today. This drone is insanely AWESOME. For me, it is perfect. DJI does a great job of making a drone that has amazing capabilities.
Does it have a D-cinelike mode? The only thing I dont like about the dji mini 4 is the D-log mode which make the video quality looks warmer and darker. I like it more bluish tone and not too warm and dark just balance but also with high contrast. Please respond quick. Im doubting which one is to buy whether the dji mini 3 pro or the dji mini 4 pro. I like all the upgrades of the mini 4 pro except for the cinematography mode color quality.
@klein8205 To be honest, the mini 4 pro was my 1st DJI product. Before that, all I had was a Heli-Max one and a couple Walmart drones. I'm still learning both DJIs. So I cannot honestly answer that question.
Dude, with the amount of regulations to jump through with the heavier drones and travelling to different countries, it makes no sense to own the bigger drones. Plus, unless you have UA-cam premium, most folks will only see your videos in 1080 or 720P. I realize you might have professional clients that want the best possible images, but for most of us the Mini 4 Pro is the answer, and don't forget that the other drones you mentioned in this comparison cost at least 3X as much as the Mini 4 Pro, also what most of us would never spend on a hobby drone.
You are so right about this small drone having its failings. It isn't a patch on my Chinook with a full film crew and professional editing suite on board. C'mon what do you expect for a sub 250g drone?
These are not just reasons not to buy a specific mini 4 pro... He is comparing what almost all light weight drones won't do versus big ones. So if you are looking to upgrade your e.g. mini 2 or other make, stay withing low budget or wanna meet most countries legalities to fly in cities -> DEFINITELY BUY!
Unfortunately, we cant all live in the US. Here in Canada, and many other countries it doesn't matter if you register it or not. You're legally not allowed to fly in certain "red zones" with a drone over 249 grams without transportation Canada approving a flight plan, which is a ridiculous pain in the ass. So yes, there can be SIGNIFICANT value in having a drone like this.@@techoperatives2232

Same with me I'm yet to make a comparison. As I love the mavic pro 3... do you know if we can pair the mavic pro 3 to the mini pro 4 controller?? Is there a way to do it. I'm tipping maybe not?
This is a small, lightweight drone and that’s why I think people will buy it. To me it’s the equivalent of a small point and shoot compact camera , if you want pro-grade results, you’ve gotta buy the right tools. Manage your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

In a very clever way this is still really praising the Mini 4 Pro for what it can do. P.S. Regarding the storage... in the UK the drone weight limit is 250g and the Mini 4 Pro weighs in at a coincidental 249g... maybe that had something to do with it?
No, not really... DJI just put less internal storage so that the only other options are to buy a MicroSD card or get the Mavic 3 Pro or Air 3. They could have easily put in 16GB, or even 32GB, because storage only impacts weight by a few milligrams, but they didn't.

The price difference between the Mini 4 Pro and the Air 3 is like $2-300. That's not the purpose of this video. What he says is very accurate. This hobby isn't cheap. With content creation in a windy environment the Mini 4 is useless to me. I think Ill pony up the extra $300 and have a solid option for flight in winds.
You have often made comparisons with the mavic pro. I find the comparison inappropriate with a drone that is more than twice as expensive. Besides, it's not a negative point just because another (twice as expensive) drone is better.
I do appreciate the work he has put in the video, but it would make more sence to compare the DJI mini 4 pro to other 249gr drones. And (after watching some) it seems to be top of this segment on the market. In most EU countries you have to be licensed to use drones above that 249gr. That means you can’t fly a drone with multiple lenses, a bigger sensor, more capable speed of heavier load to fight against the wind as these are ALL heavier. I would recommend to get a license if you can make money out of your drone. Otherwise, have fun with your 249gr model 😎

Wind is the biggest factor i get frustrated with my mini sometimes, but i wouldn't get rid of it. Its just so nice and compact and easy to carry with you. I'd like to get a mavic aswell if i can afford it.
For whatever reason, am considering trading in my Mavic 3 Classic and going to the a mini 4 configuration. Wondering if how disappointd I woul dbe unless I go gwith the mini 4 pro, but then again, that costs close to what I can get for my Mavic 3. BUt given all the hampered areas (Natl Parks, State Parks, etc), I am finind it more more frustrating to have a drone I cannot use. Thoughts? BTW, loved my Mavic Pro (2015), had hoped Mavic 3 with hasselblad optics would have been that much better, and outweigh all the S/W safeguard rubbish & internet requirments hamper this drone. It's questionable....
heres a condensed version of what he said: 1 - "it only has one focal len" (I mean its a sub 250g drone. You shouldnt expect tons of sensors) 2 - "the light drone struggles in high winds but oh my $2k mavic 3 pro drone doesnt struggle" (I mean that is expected and is stated on dji websites. (even then its for high winds)) 3 - "The small sub 250g drone is quite a bit slower then the much more expensive air 3's and mavic 3's" (im mean duh, its small and has tiny motors. dji try to get a nice balance of battery life and speed out of their drones.) 4 - "the sub 250g mini drone only has a super small cmos sensor" (again duh, small light weight drone wouldnt really be packed with a huge amount of sensors and that should really be expected even then the mini 5 might improve on this but that speculation) 5 - "non existent internal storage" (dont get me wrong, dji is doing everything to reduce weight and price. However, there is literally no excuse they can easily fit 128 gb of internal storage as standard for all drone, im not sure why they dont (granted i actually prefer using an SD card over using anything else)).
I have a Mavic Pro 3, Mavic Classic and the Air2S. I'm selling the Classic to get the Mini 4Pro Combo+ because of the smaller footprint and vertical shooting. Am I nuts?
Thanks for the info. I got the 4pro and i will start with this anyway. If i get pro and time i will check the bigger ones. In Finland there is a restrictions above 250g.

Do you have any experiences with the hyperlapse on the mavic 3 pro? I've been getting constant shakes and unusable time-lapse video's. I gave up trying
I'm simply gonna jump to a conclusion, as I haven't watched this video...I CANNOT find anything my new mini 4 Pro doesn't do better than my old Mavic 2 Pro. Maybe it's a bit less stable in wind, but I'm not bummed in the least. It shoots better, too. Brilliant little machine. The new OcuSync is the game changer for me.
Agree, also have the Mavic 2, the only good thing is the 1 inch sensor 25% bigger than my Mavic mini 4, the rest is much better the mini, battery performance, size, weight avoiding a license etc..
The Mini 4 Pro is the best sub-250g drone in the world. Too many rules for over-250 now, in the UK. So bigger drones just aren’t bothering with. In the UK, to fly a bigger drone now, especially at a wedding (for example), you have to jump through so many hoops. Flyering local houses, setting up take off and landing sites, wind socks, wind meters, distances to keep away from people and property.
I was given a BWine F7 for Christmas. It fell in the sand, it's props dug in, and it didn't shut off like the DJI would have. It kept juicing the motor that was stuck. I freed the motor and was ready to fly, and the arm to the prop had an electrical fire. DJI shuts down when any prop stops, so that wouldn't happen. F7 has so much less. 4K, 15FPS, and I'm so sick of phone apps. I get scammers calling all day and interrupted while flying with the phone screen. There's nothing better than a dedicated controller with a screen. Also, it keeps me out of trouble. It won't let me fly where I'm not supposed to.
I am looking at buying a Mini Pro 4. I do not use a smartphone, am I able to use a Mini Pro 4 without a smartphone ? I have wifi and a laptop to set it up. I am in the UK (england) Thanks
It comes with its own remote control, you just won't be able to get the live feed from the camera, unless you use a smartphone, or the rc type controller with the screen that is sold separately.
I'm a recreational licensed drone pilot. Also not a photographer. I use drones to explore the 800 acres of government land surrounding my property. I am a long time friend of the local USDA and they gave me permission to fly on their property. I have explored old barns and other abandoned buildings. The Mini 4 Pro is my favorite drone (owned since September 2023), Bought the fly more kit with the plus batteries giving me 35 to 40 minutes of flight time per battery.
Great video as always mate. I have a M3P and a Mini 2, I think its time to upgrade the Mini 2 which is still a great drone to have as a backup. Oh, any chance of putting up a picture of a baby Koala in an upcoming video for your fans down here in Australia 🙂? Keep up the great work mate!!
The main reason I haven't bought a Mini4 Pro is none of the current versions of DJI goggles work with this drone's O4 video transmission system. Hopefully DJI will come up with new goggles for this new O4 transmission system soon.
The only reason not to buy the mini 4 pro is cause i already have the mavic 3 pro and air 3. So why the faawk would i buy a mini 4 pro. I live in the USA and drone size and weight means shtz to us. I guess if you live in EU countries where drone law is much strict to drones over 250g. Then get the mini 4 pro. If you live in the USA, get the mavic 3 pro or air 3.
Hi, liked your vid, your comparing a drone that is around 895g compared to a drone that is less than 250g? here in the UK there are a lot of laws flying a drone this weight. I had a drone at 560g and basically I needed to be 150m from anywhere & 50m from people, plus I needed a License to fly. I was plotting were I could fly on Google maps with the ruler. It was a great drone btw but changed it for the DJI Mini 4 Pro..
3 cameras for 3x the price. You get what you pay for. I could only afford the mini 4 pro and for someone that never had a drone before, it’s a perfect fit.
Biggest advantages are the ability to fly in more places (in Canada with its strict laws regulating bigger drones), it's discreetness, and the convenience of carrying it around. 🎉
Dude u CANNOT compare the mini series of drones to the mavic series theres the price point and theres also the fact that the mini series of drones are all under 250 grams and thats really important for us brits with all the CAA regulations on where we can and cant fly ! Im sorry theres just no comparison imo 😔
does anyone have a Mini 4 Pro who could tell me what the sound is like? how far away can you hear it? i have an Avata and it was a super fast impulse buy, and i really regret it now because Avata makes the loudest and most annoying "REEE!" in the world. so i'm wondering if you can actually fly a Mini 4 around a built up area without annoying everyone?
I've been flying drones for 3 years, I've used mavic 3, mavic Air2, Mavic Air2s and Mini 2, mini pro3 and finally mini pro 4. I think the best drone for me is mavic air 2s, but now there's a problem. old Remote No updates So I haven't used it yet. Until I buy a smart remote that works with the mini 3, from my experience the mini pro4 flies well for video recording. The surfer is not very tall, the wind is not very strong, because it does not have as good wind resistance as a large drone. I still make a lot of drones. Not from falling into the water or getting hit, but because I used it too hard. And the disadvantage of the mini pro, if you use it heavily for 2 hours, the battery will get hot. and remind you to fly back immediately But if you use the automatic home mode, it will be slow and the opportunity that will fall is very high I always solved the problem by flying the drone back myself. And another problem is Sensors often break down Unable to take off, software problems. I have a dream that one day I will have money to buy all brands of drones to fly. I really love flying drones because drones are something that challenges my abilities, competes in drones. The most exciting thing is flying a drone without glasses, but using your own eyes and using your brain to remember the levers and having to survive. Attack other drones that will run to the finish line 😂😂😂 The winner will survive. There is a soundtrack for the competition. Use limitless speed. Below is water, height limit from water level, time limit, and only 3 batteries can be used. I'm just imagining it for fun. But if it really happened in America, many people would watch and be very excited to see who will be number 1 in the world 😂😂😂 Thank you for the video you shared. Your video is great. The view in Hawaii is very beautiful 😇
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I'm surprised by all the shade being casted. Coming from the content creator perspective this video is GREAT. There is nothing more frustrating than a beautiful day with wind. The Mini 4 isn't gonna get it done. This is just a fact. The Mini 4 would be great for a kid making videos in a windless town. Once you get near the ocean, hills, mountains and buildings - The AIR 3 is going to be your go to drone. Certainly the Mini 4 will have its applications. This video clearly tells you that. Thanks for the helpful content. Air 3 for me.

BTW, loved my Mavic Pro (2015), had hoped Mavic 3 with hasselblad optics would have been that much better, and outweigh all the S/W safeguard rubbish & internet requirments hamper this drone. It's questionable....
Great video!
heres a condensed version of what he said:
1 - "it only has one focal len" (I mean its a sub 250g drone. You shouldnt expect tons of sensors)
2 - "the light drone struggles in high winds but oh my $2k mavic 3 pro drone doesnt struggle" (I mean that is expected and is stated on dji websites. (even then its for high winds))
3 - "The small sub 250g drone is quite a bit slower then the much more expensive air 3's and mavic 3's" (im mean duh, its small and has tiny motors. dji try to get a nice balance of battery life and speed out of their drones.)
4 - "the sub 250g mini drone only has a super small cmos sensor" (again duh, small light weight drone wouldnt really be packed with a huge amount of sensors and that should really be expected even then the mini 5 might improve on this but that speculation)
5 - "non existent internal storage" (dont get me wrong, dji is doing everything to reduce weight and price.
Am I nuts?
If you don't have the Mini 3 Pro it makes sense.
For really fast subjects you should get a POV or am I wrong?
I ordered mine, it's in the mail, now I'll watch the video on why I shouldn't buy one, lol.
Thanks for the info. I got the 4pro and i will start with this anyway. If i get pro and time i will check the bigger ones. In Finland there is a restrictions above 250g.
Love the inquisitive monkey! Thanks for the tips, Danny. Already bought the drone :)
It's good to hear the differences
Hi, would I be able to use all the possible features on RC N2 that RC 2 offers along with the mini pro 4? For eg: would I be able to use active 360 tracking on N2 controller, etc? Thanks in advance!
Yep! You just do everything on your phone instead of the built in screen
Thumbnail says it all "Clicked Thumbs down" this was like comparing a Civic to a Mercedes, of course the larger more expensive is going to have more features people may want, but to say don't buy, and contradict with having a " Snag your mini pro here: with his affiliate link, it bad form, Just click bait and trying to make money off of people knowing the Mini 4 pro is a good Sub 250g drone.
Do you have any experiences with the hyperlapse on the mavic 3 pro? I've been getting constant shakes and unusable time-lapse video's. I gave up trying
How much are you selling the mini 4 for?
Such a good video!
Mini 4 is a recreation drone... my son , he's happy! lol!
CAn you add infared to this unit
Why do you comparing with large amount of drone?
52khm speed max yo✅
I'm simply gonna jump to a conclusion, as I haven't watched this video...I CANNOT find anything my new mini 4 Pro doesn't do better than my old Mavic 2 Pro. Maybe it's a bit less stable in wind, but I'm not bummed in the least. It shoots better, too. Brilliant little machine. The new OcuSync is the game changer for me.
Does your Mini 4 Pro have both HQ and Full FOV 4K video options like a Mavic 2 Pro does?
Are you in Colorado? Saw either Roxborough or Garden of Gods?
nice video man
I was given a BWine F7 for Christmas.
Finally, an honest balanced review! Mini drones are for semi-pro/recreational use - if you are a pro - buy a bigger pro drone!
Woooah, what a surpise! And we didn´t know that before, right?
Glad you learned something new! LOL@@Boroda87
I think people that are pros should know what they're looking for without a UA-cam video telling them.
I am looking at buying a Mini Pro 4. I do not use a smartphone, am I able to use a Mini Pro 4 without a smartphone ?
I have wifi and a laptop to set it up. I am in the UK (england)
Thanks
It comes with its own remote control, you just won't be able to get the live feed from the camera, unless you use a smartphone, or the rc type controller with the screen that is sold separately.
@@JuanRamirez-bj6qe thanks
but still... how much its mavic 3 comparing to this one ?
iti like comparing iphone 5 with iphone 15
Are some of these shots on Kauai at Hihimanu just over the bridge to Hanalei?? Those peaks look mighty familiar 👀
Man, if the negative points of the mini 4 are comparing it to the Mavic 3, then there are no negative reasons to buy it.
Agreed...
What kind of video is this he wants only like this total no reason to not buy it 🤔 U can't compare with mavic 3 pro check the price also not logical
bruh why do u compare mavic series with mini series
there s a huge price difference and weight difference
This video was exactly why I bought the Mini 4 Pro. Why, because I'm not a pro like you.Thank you, great video!
Actually the reason you bought the mini 4 pro is cause you couldn't afford the beast mavic 3 pro. Lmao
Hello Danny, at 0:29 in this video the camera switches from horizontal to vertical. Is that a feature that the Mavic 3 Pro and/or Air 3 also have?
no
I definately didnt buy the mini pro 4. Thanks for help but why you have links in descripton for buying mini 4? Are you a sales man?
Great video as always mate. I have a M3P and a Mini 2, I think its time to upgrade the Mini 2 which is still a great drone to have as a backup. Oh, any chance of putting up a picture of a baby Koala in an upcoming video for your fans down here in Australia 🙂? Keep up the great work mate!!
Drone were made for certain specs..Not all are the same..They have their limitations!
Where is the shots that you took in Hawaii live here? That is some nice shots
And what your opionion on DJI FPV Mister Danny?
The main reason I haven't bought a Mini4 Pro is none of the current versions of DJI goggles work with this drone's O4 video transmission system. Hopefully DJI will come up with new goggles for this new O4 transmission system soon.
Bro, thanks for this comment, was choosing between m3p and m4p. m3p for me for sure now
@@vladvladimirovich912 they added compatibility today
You cannot compare the Mavic 3 pro with the Mini 3 or 4 Pro. It's just not the same drone category. Might compare it with the Air 2S
Pleaae can i link my mavic pro to a smart controller, because i need HDMI feed
Pretty impressive, looking forward to learning more. Thanks
This is kind of bullshit. Never compare two drones as they are in different categories as specs and price as well
The only reason not to buy the mini 4 pro is cause i already have the mavic 3 pro and air 3.
I loved the fact that you got right into the info that you were providing instead of babbling for five minutes first, thank you !!!!!
we can buy it
we can buy it …read more
3 cameras for 3x the price. You get what you pay for. I could only afford the mini 4 pro and for someone that never had a drone before, it’s a perfect fit.
Battery life ?
Biggest advantages are the ability to fly in more places (in Canada with its strict laws regulating bigger drones), it's discreetness, and the convenience of carrying it around. 🎉
Dude u CANNOT compare the mini series of drones to the mavic series theres the price point and theres also the fact that the mini series of drones are all under 250 grams and thats really important for us brits with all the CAA regulations on where we can and cant fly ! Im sorry theres just no comparison imo 😔
does anyone have a Mini 4 Pro who could tell me what the sound is like? how far away can you hear it?
i have an Avata and it was a super fast impulse buy, and i really regret it now
because Avata makes the loudest and most annoying "REEE!" in the world.
so i'm wondering if you can actually fly a Mini 4 around a built up area without annoying everyone?
I have a Mini 2 and Mini 4 Pro and I think the M4P is possibly a little more quiet. I don’t know much about the others.
Comparing different drone classes is not a comparison.
Even because of different prices.
i thought about buying a drone and go to hawaii with it. how does it work with hawaii wins. since im new to drones and never flew much.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
So the mini pro 4 is under the 250g limit. Awesome thanks man good to know
The backwards baseball hat is a great way to tel people "I like to look like I'm 11 years old."
I live in Canada. You basically don't need any permits to fly this drone. For whatever this drone is capable of, this is a #1 choice for anyone looking to buy something like this in its class. Hands down!
