- A five-play drive from Stamps' QB Jake Maier and a clutch 53-yard field goal from kicker Rene Paredes with 11 seconds left sent this one to overtime where Saskatchewan kicker Brett Lauther went 2-for-2 for a pair of field goals, and Nick Marshall picked off a Maier pass to give the Riders the win.
The CFL is so much fun to watch. Love it.
I'm an American and IMO this is good football. I like catching CFL highlights and especially when the Bombers win.
I am the opposite. I always enjoy times when the Bombers lose.

Me too. Such drama and unpredictability. I can't stand the Riders or Stamps, but I still acknowledge that this was a great game.

This was a wild battle, a blood bath with both teams taking heavy casualties. Stamps' receiving corps is now decimated.
I love my Riders and I when they beat Calgary.
I went and it was extremely stressful
I'm seeing a lot of people criticizing craig dickenson, and while they are valid concerns, I'd say just be happy with the win. Great game, go riders!

Don't know why Sask. would go for a 2 pt. convert to try to go up by 12, instead of the much easier 1 pt. convert to go up by 11. There is no advantage at all at that point in the game to have the extra one point. An 11 point lead means that a TD and FG are not enough. Two TDs wins it for Calgary even with the 2 pt. convert by Sask.. That decision almost cost Sask. the game by allowing Calgary to tie it, with a TD and an FG.
Glad that they won, but they need to make better decisions on simple ones like that.
As for the 3rd down gamble, I liked that one. If they got it, they win. If not, then Calgary starts close to their own 10 yard line.

@@-007-2 Actually that wasn't a bad gamble. If they get it, they win. If they don't, then Calgary has to start within their own 10 yard line. Had they kicked the field goal, then Calgary gets to return a kickoff, which could give them good field position, with more than enough time to score a TD and win it.
But the 2 point conversion made no sense at all. There is no advantage to having a 12 point lead vs. an 11 point lead that close to the end of the game. 11 point means that 2 TDs are needed. Since one TD and one FG isn't enough.

Very disappointed in Craig Dickenson. We could have easily hit a field foul to put us up by 6 but instead we lose it in 3rd & 1, leaving it open for Parades to tie the game. 🤦♂️
Not to mention going for a 2 PAT when a single would have put us up by 11
I agreed with gambling to get the first down. That would have won the game.
Going up by six likely wouldn't have been enough. Calgary would the to return a kickoff, then would have had a lot of time to score a TD and win it. This way they had to move the ball a long way even to get a field goal.
