Totally agree! This is actually the first time in 20 years I followed the CFL. Back in the day ESPN showed some of the games here in the states. The likes of Warren Moon and Doug Flutie starred here before they did in the NFL.
I have been to two NFL games at FedEx field. There wasn't very much energy. I suspect many of the "fans" present were there as guests of corporate season ticket holders. Plus, there are endless delays during NFL games and a 40-second play clock that break up the natural rhythm.
Game of the year. Saskatchewan actually set the tone early because of their defense. As a lifelong NFL fan this crowd as someone said earlier truly rivaled an NFL gan. Hats off to those fans! Other than 3 really long pass plays, the Riders defense put the rough in Rough Riders and ultimately finished it. Also this is the most passion Saskatchewan has played with all year. Fantastic win!
We needed this win so badly, with the horrible game against Montreal last week and back to back against Winnipeg coming up. If Calgary, Ottawa, and Hamilton keep losing, we could legitimately go to the playoffs. Even if we don't win a playoff game, I wouldn't complain about at least an appearance in the postseason after last year's abomination, especially if we can pull a win against Winnipeg in either the Labour Day game or the Banjo Bowl
Another entertaining CFL game. I am amazed at the number of exciting, dramatic and comeback type games on display this season. I believe the future looks bright for this wonderful Canadian institution. Well done Sask ‘D’. Also nice to see another young bright light at QB….
When the Riders play like this, they're just beautiful, even against the top-rated Wester team. However, this season shows they're not consistent, especially when they're on the road. This game, though showed them in top notch form both offensive and defensively.
Back and forth action great game!! I thought both teams got away with some helmet to helmet contact hits & the Riders got away with a couple of face mask penalties that should have been called. Regardless, the Riders were the better team today & squeaked out the win...

Wow! On the final drive of Saskatchewan, I never knew that a delay of game penalty would cost a team a down, alongside the 5 yards. It would be surprising for me if it was just a loss of down and not including the yardage.

He had him around the neck. You can see how the neck twists back that should’ve been a penalty at this go on and you’re gonna have a lot more injuries.
To see if Picton didn't touch the sideline. I thought he didn't have compete control of the catch myself, but I don't get paid to review replays. That is a tough job to do
the replays have to show CONCLUSIVE evidence to overturn the call on the field. None of the replays available showed that. They only showed his back foot was down, in bounds, around the time he caught the ball. Not enough to overturn or fully confirm the call. So the call on the field stands.
They were checking to see if it was really a catch, since his left foot was barely on the ground as the ball arrived, but they did not see enough evidence to overturn the ball

Lions ticket holder here. Like c'mon. Lots of football yet to be played this season. Saskatchewan lucked out a hard fought victory. I'm still confident Lions will represent the West in this years Grey Cup.
