I decided to marry my home culture with Korea by making akara, aka fried bean cake (a delicacy from home) to mimic jeon ~ fritter made with varieties of vegetables (a popular dish from here). I had hiccups at first but I was successful at the end, and it tasted as good as it looks.

That's the Koreanized part of it. I was trying to make a Korean delicacy called jeon, but using akara ingredients. I added mushrooms as well. To be honest, I didn't taste them.

You need more oil to fry akara next time

For it to come out like a pancake, I need very little oil. If I had a really good pan that food didn't get stuck to, I wouldn't even use as much oil as I did.
