- I've had a bunch of requests for Nightwish - and why not this classic?! I like to think of this cover as a mixed interpretation of both the album version and Floor's version. :)
One of my absolute favorite albums growing up was Once. I was so inspired by the massive sound as a young girl - I truly believe it was one of the albums that got me to where I am today.

Hell, no! She's now a member of Temperance, a great band that i highly suggest you! She would be a total waste in nw,since nowadays nightwish are just a pale shadow of their former self. And not since a couple of years.
And i'm trying to be objective, because on a personal level i stopped listening to them after DPP.
Before you ask me,yes, i'm tarja's biggest fan AND i love anette AND one of the only two songs i like on imaginaerum is Slow Love Slow. And i've been a fan of floor since af's debut ;)
Sad to say since nw have been a great love of mine but i think they're artistically dead.

I am now subbed and have watched many of Miss Kristin's videos. I am a fan of Floor Jansen. Until this moment, I thought it impossible for anyone to perform GLS as well as Floor did at Wacken 2013. I just got proven wrong. What a voice! What control WHAT POWER!!I loved her rendition. Perfection all over again. Count me in! Yes, this lady stands on the shoulders of a giant but I concur, she easily could fill in Miss Floor.

My God woman, you are a force of nature! I almost felt my hair blowing during some of your belts. Seriously though, you have managed to combine the techniques and personalities of Tarja and of Floor, and yet made it your own, with your personality and expressive singing riding on top. GLS is probably my favourite song of all time, and you most definitely get a 10/10. Bravo.
This would qualify as a vocal ACHIEVEMENT!!!! Your gorgeous voice handles this very difficult song with both grace, and power. I always thought Tarja lost some of her annunciation due to her rather pronounced Finnish accent, still do to this day. However, you seem to be very aware of that and do a marvelous job of pronouncing every syllable clearly and cleanly. Even when you go into the later break in the song, you have such power and presence in your voice. Dare I say it.... You're almost TOO strong a vocalist for this song!!!! And YES!!!! You NAILED THAT LAST NOTE!!!! Floor Jansen herself would be, well......floored.... heheheheheheheh

This is one of my favorite songs ever. I never thought anything could top Tarja's rendition, then Floor joined the band and added so much more energy to the ending. I got to hear her perform it in 2015 and it brought me to tears.
And then you came along. The way you blended what both of them did best into a single cover was masterful. Seriously Kristin, this was incredible. Thank you.

Perhaps this would only remain a dream, but I would love to hear you perform Epica's "Sancta Terra" with Simone or Floor! I must admit, however, that my heart may not be able to handle the sheer beauty and splendor of such a performance were it to happen. Nevertheless, to hear that would be a risk I'd happily embrace.

I like it. The little bit of distortion in the belting parts around 6:00 and the lower register... Sounds great. And the Floor flare at the end... She's got competition for sure. In light of the 'no money for covers' I think you need a band and some original compositions. 😀👍

It was this song 8 years ago that led me to the metal I love today so understandably I am a bit critical of anyone who dare to cover it. You have not disappointed in anyway. I am amazed and with you personal touches and wonderfully rich voice this is as fabulous as anyone will ever do. Congratulations, this was exciting for me to hear.

Just came from listening to the original of this song for the first time. This is just jaw droppingly and magnificently epic. The mix of vocal styles... just how... can classical singers sing anything then? I admit to knowing virtually nothing about the art.
