Who woulda thunk. I watch your pew pew videos and just got a dji mini 3. Checking out air drop vids and found this. I like your problem solving skills.
I still have to post a video of the Frankenstein airdrop system actually working. Since I'm not building guns anymore I've been posting on other stuff. I put up a few videos on a Thermal Scope I bought also.
Hey I see you said you plan to make a video on this again. Any idea when? And is there any other options that you have found for this drone that has more range other than customizing it your self?
I'll be making a video soon. Basically, I combined the two airdrop systems to make one for my Mini 2 that operates on the front light being turned on and off. Now, the range of the airdrop harness is the same as the drone is. I'll post that video in the next few days or so.
Another possibility for those into rc is get a cheep flysky i6 and the receiver that uses the thin cardboard like coving. Strip off the cover. Attach the receiver to the drop device, connect the servo to the receiver and possibly the battery that comes with the drop unit to the receiver. You can use the flysky radio to activate the drop and it has better range seeing that it’s used in rc aircraft. Downside is the bulky second radio but could be a cheep ish long range transmitter for the drop unit?
@@nathanfoltz7738I also have a mini2se. Our only bet is just an angle dropper (Basically putting an item on a hook, then going yo sport mode in a specific dirextion) to drop it, or, a 433mhz nano wireless module paired with an arduino micro, though that requires a different transmitter. That option is also very light so works I guess, will let you know once I test!
Brother I’m having a hard time finding a dropper for my mini 2 that has a range of at least 500 meters. Ove found two that drops using a gyroscope and I’m thinking that might be my best bet
I just got my dropper. Bought a bunch of Solar LED string lights and have been dropping them on Random tall trees around town;) Super fun!
You’re amazing 🎉
Please release a video on how you made it work!
I’m actually curious if my baofang radio can give a better signal and activate the dropper. Find the frequency it operates on?

I have one of these for my air 2s. They work well.
It works great very fun!
Fun!

Great video, did you ever have an opportunity to tested?
Actually I did finish it, and I'll do a video shortly of the Frankenstein Air Drop system that works off the front light of the Mini 2 I built for it.

Using landing lights coollll😊
Nice glork
Where can I get a dropper
I have Air 2 but never tried dropping anything!😅
So how did this work for you? I couldn't find the follow up video.
It works perfectly. I will do a follow up video on it soon.
@2artactical55 that's great news. I just got the mini2se so trying to figure out how to rig mine since it has no nose light.
@nathanfoltz7738 the nose light is what I had to use. It is the only light that I can turn on and off on my Mini 2.

I need a dropper for my mini 4K
Thats a stupid question, its the same frame!!!!
well, that was a waste of my time.......
@BobDeer-vd4nq I haven't done the video of it completed and working but it works great.
