- Mile Long Train At Speed With DPU On Curve, Amtrak Hits The Railroad Diamonds, CSX Train With Caboose & Mixed Freight At Railroad Crossing No Train Horn Zone. These trains are in Plant City, Florida and Lakeland, Florida. The caboose was on a local switching train entering Winston Yard.
First we see Amtrak blaring the horns across several railroad crossings in Plant City, Florida. Then a big CSX train with DPU comes around a curve and passes old line side signals on the way to Tampa on the S Line. Have you ever seen a train booking this fast through here? I had to run to the crossing because I wasn't sure which line the train was on. The A Line and the S Line are about a block or so apart. I just barely got there in time. Check out the old signals still in use.
Then we get an aerial view of Amtrak pounding the diamonds in Plant City at dusk. That was cool!
Next day we go to Lakeland, Florida to watch a CSX freight leaving Winston Yard on a tight, squeaky curve. Right after that a CSX local passes by with a caboose on the rear and two employees on the platform. That reminded me of the early 80s. After the caboose passed us the train reversed around the west wye and entered Winston Yard.
Next we see a fast mixed freight hitting the railroad crossing in downtown Lakeland. This is a no train horn zone. The train was running westbound. I was really lucky to get that train. I had already left Lakeland and was heading to the motel in Mulberry. I heard the train on my scanner and didn't think I could beat it to the crossing but I gave it a try. Somehow, I got lucky with all the red lights and was able to get there in plenty of time. Best gamble I ever took! That made up for the train that I just barely missed in Auburndale, Florida. I got there just after the locomotives crossed the diamond and had to wait a long time for the next train.
This is more of my video from my trip to Florida. Actually, we still have some video on Mrs Tooth's camera. The problem is that I am not sure what I have posted and what I haven't from her camera. Once I figure that out I will have one last Florida video.
Filmed May 1, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! This is an awesome video! I hope we see more of this area of Plant City. Very busy line Like the mural at :43. Have a nice day 😊🌈
Dan Harmon has a few vids of the Plant City area. His vids are a dash more technical but very enjoyable.
Ha! At 07:27 that autorack says "YELLN BULLSHIT"

Ah, Trains from that Delightful Dictatorship called Florida.
The Iconic Western Brown Water Tower
Awesome, Mr. Tooth. Thanks for the quick but informative tour of Plant City. Did you get a fix on the price of rentals? Looks like a comfy place to call home. And bring back the caboose!
Awesome Video! Fun Times. Happy Mother’s Day everyone.
That’s Danny Hammond territory you didn’t run into the legend out filming trains
Great mother's day video sunny Florida thanks Jaw tooth

Excellent video JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Great video! Happy Mother’s Day!!!!
Great video, JT! Luck plays a part in getting those good shots but patience is the key. A lot of time spent waiting for something to happen.
Thanks for watching !
Happy Mother's Day, Mrs. JT. That 1st Amtrak train was flying! From the time you started videoing, it was seconds before it was at your location. That's why I can't believe people think they can beat it at the crossing. That's why these train videos are so important. They give people a view of how big, powerful and fast they are. Take careJT.
Hey JT 😁 filming the Amtrak slamming the diamonds would have been awesome 🚊🚦
The sound is awesome!
Happy Mother's Day to Mrs Tooth!

The Amtrak Passenger Train was No. 92 Northbound-Silver Star -Miami-New York

🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Another great video as always now and forever
Awesome video.
😀 Plant City! What a shit hole. 😆. Used to go there every year from Fort Thomas, Ky. to see the Red's spring training. Was so happy when they moved to Sarasota. Now there in Goodyear (Az.) 🥰. Plant City... 🤧
Good Videos. CSX has 2 big Problems: 1) Huge amount of grafettti on their cars. Some grafettti would take the Vandals several minutes to complete. Where was CSX freight yard Security? And 2) some CSX cars had locked break sequels, could lead to eventual fire danger.
I looked up your Silver Moon Drive crossing on Google Earth's historical imagery. Looks like it was repaved and re-done in 2011-2012, then still in use on 1/2014. 1/2016 shows the barriers having been erected, then the asphalt being dug up in 2017.
Was in Plant City last night! A CSX freight was heading west on the A Line with full hoppers and gondolas hauling crushed rock around 11pm.
Love that car that said Bullshit Talkn! You got a wave from the engineer; cool! And B&O caboose? Gotta be 50 years old! Thanks Jaw Tooth!!
The first, south bound CSX freight on the S line was the M441 (Waycross, GA-Tampa)
Greetings from New Hampshire! I just hit the subscribe button. I've liked freight trains since I was little. Best Christmas present I ever got was a train set when I was a kid. Love your videos, thank you for making them. They're educational too!
Other new aventure with amazing trains...that's weekend!!!!!! So good!!!!
🇱🇷🚂💞💕😍😘😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️
I kind of waited to see the Master of the Stupid Orange on some of your Plant City clips...
CSX and Amtrak action, like the Cryo Trans and Tropicana refers!🛤🚂
Good morning I enjoyed the video👍👍
Thanks!
FANTASTIC to see a caboose on the loose!
I always thought there was only one brake wheel on any given railroad car, but the caboose had one one each end. Is that normal and I just never noticed?
Great videos, Son!
Keep up the great work and may God continue to be with you and protect you!!
The one good thing about the financially ruinous policies of the gooberment is the diminishing vandalism spray painted on railcars, although real vermin are breaking into shipments at a higher rate.
Was nice in the 60's and 70's when folks respected other's property and for the most part, folks kept their damned hands off of that which wasn't theres -- AND there were cabeese!!
Avon Park, my old stomping ground. A boy was hit by Amtrak yesterday 7 miles south in Sebring
Hey jaw tooth hope Ms tooth had an awesome mother's day. Keep the trains coming. Have a great railroad day 🙋♀️
hi JT love the trains but I would liike to know why intermodals double stack`s are not tied down . Alan Mc Guinness in Dublin Ireland.
A question comes to mind, who is responsible for inspecting and maintenance of the rail cars on a regular basis. Beings we have experienced the second major accident where multiple cars were derailed and caused major impact on the area in the last six weeks. Those are within thirty miles north of the Conway switch yard in Pennsylvania. Norfolk Southern was the trains that caused these issues.
Where's Dany harmin?!? You both need to do a video together while your in Florida!
Nice Video
On the Plant City platform you right underneath a Virtual Railfan Camera.
😊wat abouth the Eurostar Amsterdam to London, thats coool.😂when you gonna film that JW?👍👍👍👍
Awesome trains as always.loved seeing that caboose at the end of train.😊I watch these videos at least twice or more. They are interesting and learn something new each time. Thanks so much.😊
Mrs Jaw Tooth one patient woman. Probably best to stick with her.
Jaw sadly your camera failed you. The video wasnt t'otally clear
Good Vids Sir, Question for you? How to contact you private?
0:38 I didn't know Plant City grew strawberries there.
Hey jawtooth did you hear about csx's heritage line they are doing
Up until about 5 years ago the 2nd crossing you filmed at (on evers st) used to be lights only with no gates
😊thanks for the nice video, yes drugs is not good, greetz:😂Peer. but bier is cool, but not to mutch.😊
👍🏼😎👍🏼💜
I noticed that the warning lights for the crossing at time stamp 12:49 need replacing as they kept going out.
Nice one, Jaw Tooth. Quite a change of scene! Quite a busy strip with the Amtrak needing it. Can't miss that one coming! Cheers!
Good footage , feels like I had a trip to Florida . Thank you .
You get a UA-cam thumbs for being as usual as charming host
Why do we no longer see "empty" box cars with their doors open?
Awesome catches and great video
What does the green lights on the side of the amtrak trains mean
Great catch but the 2nd train a lot of bearings needing greased
Great vid, JT. Really enjoyed these locations.
How does chessie and northy take to new pup. Is it call kc
Plant City is on my bucket list. Welcome back to Florida!
At first, I thought the caboose was in the middle of the train until I saw that there was another train on the other track.
Look at all the black bananas ( fresh rail ties).
CSX emptied a yard or two for those manifest trains - wow! I am always amazed at how fast Amtrak rolls through those areas. Always love a caboose!
Thanks for watching !
@Jaw Tooth is the new castle subdivision on black street in Hamilton Ohio. On route 128
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars Thanks Fabian!
Distant Signals Danny Harmon's neck of the woods
another great video Mr. Jawtooth
I watch and like them all
Tim in Beautiful Toronto Canada...
thanks for watching in Toronto!
The red nose pointless arrow paint scheme represented on Amtrak P42DC #161 never looked as good as it did on Amtrak’s first new diesels, the EMD SDP40Fs! I will never forget seeing them while I was a kid in the early 1970s.
I agree
No crossing horn on the last video.
Amtrak is never on time in Florida
Can we just get a shirt that says " but wait there's more" please
That low light Amtrak shot was awesome in my opinion. It looked more "real" to me if that makes sense. Some nice work Jaw, tks for sharing it with us!
thanks for watching !
Great seeing Tropicana box cars! Their main plant not to far from where I live in Bradenton!
Awesome! I want to film there someday
Good Morning Jaw Tooth.
You have some of the worst luck. You go out to film railroad tracks and signals and a train always seems to ruin your video.
They always run on those tracks for some reason
Mister tooth you're the greatest that is pretty cool how you incorporate a little bit of everything also excellent video
Thanks for watching !
😂ha there is Jackie,👍👍👍👍
Thumbs up.
thanks Steve!
Not the sunny band
Good video jawtooth
Amtrak moving right along doing a continuous horn salue like Troy OH. As JT kept Movin' On to the grade Xing you could hear the bells ringing just as if JT were rushing to a fire alarm. Quite the number of ties to insert in that area. Can one imagine the number of Fruit Growers Express cars that used to leave this area laden with strawberries? Whipped cream please! As the second Freight rolled by two "Snowbird Cars" went by those being the two SOO Center beams with the wrapped Lumber from Resoution.Lumber which has 14 Mills in the USA. and Canada. Alas on your last day of shooting March 1st company was folded into Paper Excellence. Just like you and Mrs tooth those cars had to go back where it was cold but spring is here and today is Mother's Day so be extra nice to MOM😊
Was that Tom Petty
Really enjoyed viewing this great train video in Florida! Brian, when will you ever be back up in Muncie, Indiana for filming trains at the Walnut Street railroad diamonds? I would like to meet you in person there sometime!🤠🚂🎶
Nice job as a novato (rookie) at the 'new' crossing for you. It really looks like February in (fresa/strawberry) Plant City. Good additional info. Thanks. Probably pretty toasty there now in May... and, I'd bet they'd gouge the 'heck' outta you for two scoops of vanilla ice cream to go along with those strawberries today. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
