2020 odyssey touring has the exact same issue. Dealer wants $1,700. How many will it take before this becomes a recall? It’s BS robbery by Honda.

It happen the same to my car, and the dealership said the multi purpose camera is failure need to be replace cost about 1500$ but I don’t think that’s the problem ,
lly aware that this multiple random warning lights come on out of nowhere. its happening in several years 18, 19, 20-23 and other honda vehicle. SHAME ON YOU HONDA

I have a 2019 Odyssey and I just got all of those warnings too. I'm scheduled to go to the dealership Monday to have it checked. I've done some research and it seems like this is happening often with 2019 Odysseys. I wonder who we can contact to file complaints so that they know this is becoming a common issue and maybe we can get reimbursed for the repairs.

Me too. Sometimes it doesn’t go on reverse. Turn off the car and reverse works. Sometimes when I’m stopped at a light, it lags to move especially if the AC is on. I brought it to the dealership like 6 to 7 times. Now my extended warranty ran out so they’re telling me that it’s the main computer labor and part is 6k. I’ve been driving it for 5 months like that. Sometimes the lights disappear and it appears out of nowhere. I need advice. 🙏

@@reekz8089- what did you end up doing to fix this. I’m having the exact same issue with our 2019 Odyssey. Mostly the collision mitigation detection system problem comes on, power to the cigarette lighter power that I have my phone plugged into fails, and once we had a transmission failure light come on where we couldn’t restart the car until it rested. Battery terminals are tight. Autozone OBC diagnostic showed all systems were operating properly with any error codes. Not sure what is going on. We did have the windshield replaced a several years ago so I’m wondering if the electrical connection to the camera by the mirror is maybe losing connection intermittently? Any others have insights on this?

@@markbaker1827- 2019 Honda Odyssey elite camera has been bad as OP shows but I have been driving it anyway for months buying time However, now the car will not shut off? I had to pull the battery cable off; then it that reset computer and started it fine, seemed ok. Locked it up and went to bed only to wake up to the horn alarm going off later! Let key remote didn't work. So I had to use the real key inside the fob to open the door the old fashion way. I found out if I don't lock it the security system won't go off like that. So I'm buying time again I guess I am going to fix this camera myself (search UA-cam again)then i will deal with the security issue.
Last week same happen to my 2019 Odyssey Exl, dealer quoted $1600 to replace the camera and the part is in back order 2-3 months They don't even know the day when would be available.,, My van drives fine, right now I just ignore the warning, Keep pushing the enter button So the warning sign disappear in the background,,,
If there is check engine sign on on dashboard so is it not come under 5 year 60000 miles engine warranty???
My 2020 odyssey just happened the same ways
Part is cost $1025 and labor is $466
It is unbelievable. Hopefully I can find some places cheaper

I just fixed this myself. Here's what I did. With my xtool a30 I scanned it and it kept giving me u3000-49 code, internal failure of multipurpose camera. That's the key piece of info you need that tells you it's just the windshield camera. New from Honda it's a thousand dollars, plus it probably has to be calibrated by Honda. Well I bought a used one from eBay. I made sure it was the same exact model number on the camera and I made sure it came out of the exact same vehicle, 2018 civic touring sedan. So I got the camera from eBay and just disconnect the other one and connected and mounted this one. To my surprise, it worked. No warning lights, everything worked. I didn't have to take it to Honda to have it calibrated. I just went in and cleared the old codes. I think I probably saved like 2 thousand dollars. I think the key is to get a camera that has the same model number and comes from the same vehicle, so it's already aimed.
Not rare, happened to me as well. I want to sale the van rather than fix it, so annoying
thats what happen to my daughters acura mdx 2019 i had all kids of lights come out ( i reffered to it as a chrismas tree lights) and they said it was the camera, luckily the vehicle was still under the warranty..my wife have a 2019 odyssey elite i guess thats what i have to look forward for....
Same thing happened to our vehicles earlier this year. Went into Honda Dealership and they told me $1800 parts and labor. I found the part online for $600 (half what i was quoted) but it was back ordered. Finally got one but been driving with the dash lights on for months with no issues. Will probably bite the bullet and get it fixed before the new year. =P
Same here. 2018 Odyssey EXL. Dealer wants $1700. You can replace yourself but like others have noted the calibration (labor) cost will get you. Since it drives fine for now I will just hit enter until all messages clear on the dash. No way i'm paying that until I absolutely have to. Thank god this thing is paid off at least. Ridiculous!

Our odyssey had 107,000 miles we had it for 6 years when we sold it.
Odyssey was less than 10 yr old and engine had 90 K miles on it. 3 different engine coils went out at different times. My usual independent shop changed them each time for $300 each but kept my van for a few days each time. A different shop recommended going to dealer to rebuild my engine. I gave up and traded it in when it happened for the 4th time.
Same issues with my 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite. Brought it in for a car inspection and they failed it bc of the brake warning(got the same 6 warnings on this video). They said i need to replace the camera otherwise they cannot pass inspection. A whooping $1,831 freaking dollars!

@@whykeyjey I asked Honda for the part number, purchased one online (1/ the price) and when it came in, I scheduled with Honda since they are the only ones that can calibrate the sensors.

SOLUTION AT END: Had this issue at end of 10 hr drive from Iowa to Colorado. At stoplight van stalled, all lights went on. At first would not start. After a few minutes, struggled, but finally started. Smelled like engine was flooded. (Smelled gas) nursed van home, although it drove ok. Removed battery for 20 min. All warnings cleared. All safety features working (lane departure, etc) . Lucky me, don't have to pay the Honda out of warranty tax, for now anyway.
I got the same problem. The dealer told don’t use the break hold system while I am driving. Yeah I stopped to used the break hold for two years. I don’t have any problems But my I just got a new problem. The engine stopped while I was driving. All the lights came on and off. The engine restarted after 30-40 seconds. I checked up with my dealer and they charged me $150 . Because of the air intake have carbon buildup. I can’t believe that my 2020 odyssey just under 35000 mile and always maintenance with Honda dealer. And the car still under warranty but they charged me money to fixed it.
I m so disappoint of my 2019 honda odyssey. Same problems with my van too . All dashboard warning signs on ..have only 38000 miles on it..

My van stalled at light too months ago. It started up again a few seconds later so I never thought anything more of it (just thought it was odd at the time). Fast forward to now and now I'm getting all the dash warnings. I disconnected the battery for about 25-30 min then reconnected. All warnings cleared with no further issue (so far). I'll drive it tomorrow to ensure all safety features are working like they should.
I had to change my alternator because of this issue, so far so good, also park your van in a shaded area so no straight sunlight on the camera that is on the windshield

The camera may be garbage but the labor cost is reasonable. The alignment is crucial for the safety and effectiveness of the whole safety suite. If off even a little it could apply the brakes too late and cause an accident.
we have a 2018 Acura TLX with the same problem and the Acura dealer told me we need to replace that camera too, there is a lot of people with the same issue.
Had my transmission replaced at 140k miles but had this display lights issue at 120k miles on my 2018.
Mine is a 2023 12k miles just pop up today.
Looks like this might be happening in our 2022 Honda Odyssey.

Honda has no clue and their vehicles should be recalled. People need to hear how awful they are with backing up their vehicle. Their mechanics are just guessing and stealing your money.
I have the same exact problem all the warning lights on. I parked and now it wont start. I'm pissed buy a new car Honda odyssey elite 2019 wirh 25k on it, had it for only 11 months 50k miles and now this. smh. But I did make sure I extended my warranty so it should only cost me 100$ plus being inconvenienced🤬🤬. This is a class action matter this should be a recall matter free repair.

I unplugged the battery on my 2019 odyssey to reset a malfunctioning sliding door the door went back to normal but now the van won’t start the immobilizer system it’s activated and cannot get it off I bought a new battery did all the tricks you can think of nothing even paid a guy to come check my key fobs he’s scanner found no faults and all fuses good both key’s registered yet the car won’t start
Just happened to my 2019 Odyssey with 35K miles on it. Dealer just quoted me $2300 to replace the camera. Luckily I bought the extended warranty so it's $100 deductile. Plus the warranty covers a rental car.

Same here. 2000 CAD. The dealer claims it happened because the windshield wasn't original and wasn't properly calibrated. Actually the windshield was replaced 6 months ago and was calibrated. Does anyone has a cheaper solution with used or oem camera?

2021 Odyssey and multiple electrical failures. Warranty now up and can’t afford thousands on a repair that should have been recalled. Trading it in, no other options financially.

My 2019 with 97k miles. Transmission replaced, front struts were loose, now my windshield camera needs replaced. My mechanic found that camera was over heating, got so my error codes. I buying a camera and windshield, windshield repair guys charge $400 with calibration included but im having trouble finding the camera. Dont want to buy from dealer for $700

I need a new windshield anyway, so could get calibration covered with the insurance claim. Do you have any thoughts on how easy it would be to get to the camera? Doesn't seem that complex.
Looks easy to me I have a link in the description for the camera that should be cheaper than the dealership
Cost a few hundred for them to install it but should save you a few hundred buying it yourself

My 2019 Honda Odyssey Touring developed the same issue. Local dealership wants to charge about the same price as you. Would you recommend buying a used part and getting it installed at a 3rd party garage? I am out of warranty here due to the car's mileage.

Help!! I have a 2019 Honda odyssey. I unplugged the battery trying to reset a malfunctioning sliding door, the door went back to normal but the van won’t start now, I tried all the tricks I found online and UA-cam nothing put a brand new battery even paid a guy to come and check my key fobs his scanner found no faults both keys registered and all fuses good yet the car won’t start and the light for the immobilizer system it’s on and I’m out of ideas
Got my windshield replaced and the box fell down. Shortly after had all kinds of electrical issues starting. Getting a second alternator now and recently got a new battery all in the past 4-6 months.
So my question is, once these cameras are set should they not hold there calibration? My bill said 6hrs for them to even find that it was the camera, seriously?

Same issue here. Purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Odyssey EX-L with RES/Navi from Norm Reeves Honda in CA last year with 50,000mi.
Issues:
1. Rear Entertainment system issue: screen in the back would flicker or not turn on at all, fixed under warranty
2. Bluetooth issue: a constant static noise, fixed under warranty
3. Front window (both driver/passenger) regulators, replaced under warranty
4. Both ball joints were completely worn out, replaced under warranty
5. Main screen in the front would restart constantly and sometimes turn off completely. fixed under warranty
6. Camera is malfunctioning, throwing LKAS, ACC, etc lights on. Dealer quotes $1,572.24
7. high pressure fuel pump. dealer quotes $1,483.95
As soon as I fix these issues, I am selling it and getting a non-Honda vehicle. It's been a complete nightmare.
Did you end up getting a different vehicle? I am about ready to give up on my 2019 Oddyssey and get a 2014 Sienna instead.
@@alex042687 yes, as soon as I fixed all the issues, I sold it. who knows, maybe that was the last issue. we'll never know. But one thing for sure, I was emotionally done with the vehicle.
I sold it to a local dealer and they sold it as a certified pre-owned with 10k mi warranty. Hope the new owner has 0 issues.

I have a 2019 Odyssey made in March 2019. It was a mistake to buy it. I will look to sell it and buy a Sienna again, which this trash Honda replaced
