Very, very brave Andrew but well done. It looks bloody gorgeous. When you took the model out of the box I thought you had been at the sherry, in artificial light it looked baby poo brown. Then you showed the corporate pictures of the Range Rover and I got it. I remember the seventies colour. Gwen was right, it pops next to black and your daughter was spot on, it needs to be seen it the sun. I don't think it goes un-noticed that your logo has a very similar colour in it. When it rolled out of the shop and you had an shot from above and in sunlight, I was sold. "Beautiful."
If there is anything I have learnt from watching your videos for all these years, its to trust your vision for your vehicles. I think this colour might not be everyone cup of tea, but once that camper goes on and the trim is done, its going to be sensational! Great choice! Very keen to see the camper, Andrew!
Andrew I am not a big fan of yours for many reasons however this is the best video I have seen that you produced! Camera work, sound and editing fantastic and the subject, o my word! Did not realized that you could change the colour of your vehicle with a wrap!!! So, if you scratch it in the bush you can fix it in town and don't have to wait for days for the spray paint to dry or a slight change in colour! Fantastic. Technology is fantastic!
I think it looks terrific. Picking a colour may not matter to most people, but it's surprising how easy it is to become obsessed when you're selecting a custom colour.
And suddenly, for reasons that have yet to be explained by either science or religion, Andrews landcruiser suddenly developed panel gaps you could drive a boat through and began to leak oil....
As working at and then and owning a wideformat printing company for years I can honestly say the Signarama guys have made a great job of explaining the principles and the actual wrap. Top job.
When you first showed the colour I thought it was the worst idea since invading Poland. But wow it did grow on me quick and when Gwen was looking at it I too started loving it more and more. Looks kind of sort of like Toyota’s mustard yellow with gold in it. Looks perfect I reckon. I went through the same kind of emotions when I sprayed my 80. As soon as I pulled the trigger on the spray gun I started panicking inside, I found it so hard to keep calm and concentrate on spraying because I really wasn’t sure on the colour or finish. Stood in the shed staring at it for a couple hours afterwards and I left very happy with it though.
I love that colour on the Rangie, and was dubious, but it looks terrific. Well done for being such a visionary. I agree about the black trim, the wheel arch black really pops. I didn't realise a wrap could look so good, and Signarama did an amazing job. And, I loved the way you told the story from each car's colour. Can't wait to see the camper now!
It reminds me of the Camel Trophy Land rovers which i adore, you did great to put it on the Toyota. Any chance of getting the CMYK code so i can do it to my FJ Cruiser?? lol
Gosh imagine this wrap on the troopy. It screams retro, unique and beautiful on the landcruiser. But I wouldn't over do it with black trimmings, a little bit on the door steps and that's it, you got a winner.
I must say I quite liked the original color of the truck. Just by virtue of it not being green or white it was 'different' for Andrew. I wasn't thinking of (a) the protection offered by the vinyl wrap and (b) the need for it to be a more singular color for photography, brand identity, and pleasing an artist's eye. Good job Andrew and good show Signarama!
Oh Yeah! The first drone shot was amazing, I agree with your choice of colour Andrew. Very nice. It will definitely blend in with the Outback colours of Australia. Happy for you.
At first, with all the build up, I thought you’d go with some version of Range Rover white or green (BRG). Then you revealed the model. My immediate thought was “uh oh... this isn’t going to work out as well as he’s thinking.” Then you showed the first fender views. I just sat there and thought, “wellllll? Maybe???” As others stated, the interior lights didn’t do it any justice. Then came the full reveal. You’ve done it again, sir. And for ANY manufacturers out there, take note. Some of these classic colors are absolutely amazing on newer vehicles. I imagine Range Rover would make a killing with special edition colors like that. Same with Toyota Land Cruiser and even the Jeep Wrangler (Levi’s Edition, anyone?). As always, A+, 5 stars, 10/10 documentation. Thank you, genuinely, for the work that you do.
Before I got to the colour reveal in the video, I read all the comments about how they loved it and it grew on them and I was trying to make sure I hated it because I LOVED the original colour....... but as everyone has said.... I love it. It’s grown on me, I love it
I was a bit shocked when I first saw just the wing and thought it too orange. But now seeing it fully done and I appreciate it’s not the same on video. I do love it Andrew , reminds me of classic 70’s Range Rovers. Well done 👍
Andrew, as a career graphic designer, I can appreciate this video a ton! Also, I match your opinions on automotive brand sentiment exactly! Cheers to you for explaining it perfectly!!
In South Africa we love the original sand colour, but I must agree with you. Certain colours just fits certain vehicles but i do like that on the cruiser and it is definitely growing more and more on me. I think when you have the black canopy on with the decals it is just going to pop. Brilliant choice Andrew👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My Jeep is close to that colour, I call it ‘butternut’, more mustard than gold, but still close. I love it. It seems to look very nice on your Cruiser too. Andrew, maybe something you can adress in future episodes, doesn’t the wrap get damaged when scraping through coastal scrubs and bush on narrow tracks?
Hi Johan. The printed wrap is laminated with an optically clear laminate that actually protects the printed surface. Scrapes from scrub and bush may mark the wrap slightly, but better to have a removable sacrificial wrap damaged than the original paint work. Andrew covers this in a previous Troopy wrap video when he compares the wrap to a painted surface after a few years, and the wrapped area looked in better condition than the painted section.
This is gorgeous!! Today is a good day for me... It's a day off from work, minimal house chores...and I wake up to Andrew's dream tourer!! And, I kid you not, the Dirty 30 Road Tested video is out too, and it popped up on the "up next" video at the end!!
Andrew I am so happy for you, genuinely. You and the team bring a lot of joy to folk, so its nice to see you enjoy stuff too. Health to drive sunshine!
You got me confused Andrew, when i saw that range rover model i thought you were insane and it was going to look rubbish but seeing the whole car i'm torn. I want to hate it but i'm really starting to like it, growing on me quickly.
Hi Andrew, I certainly share your passion for the original RR colour. in 1981 at the age of 19, I worked for a company where a visiting auto electrician would pull up in His original early 70's RR low bucket seats, in your colour. I truly worshiped the sight of that vehicle. In 1990 I purchased an 83 2 door in the colour. As a young couple, my wife and I explored from the Daintree to the south of Tasmania in the 2 door RR Bahama gold, what a wonderful machine and memorable colour. I might wrap my FJ Cruiser in it ! Carry on the great work.
Great color! Just needs a lot of matt black accents on the rest of the truck. Thank you Andrew for making us a part of this lovely experience. Also thank you for doing it all in ONE video. Very satisfying.
That looks stunning ...Your face just lit up as it came out of the shop....stunning .....Yes that is yours Andrew believe it. Felt the same when I got my Series IIa In FORD Focus ST Orange
I know what you mean by a color growing on you. I purchased my '77 Cherokee in yellow. Was not sold on the color, but the Jeep was in great shape so I purchased it. After a few months I realized just how much I love the color. Still love it today 20 years later... See you on the trails, George.
I like the way that sunlight plays over the curves.

On 24.04 my 110 TD5 Defender got almost the same color! Not the wrap but full paint job. I got idea for the color after covering car with brown mud and instantly felt in love in that idea. Since car is 20yrs old I had to fix some rust issues and decided for color change. Had no idea that is also so similar to your Bahama Gold, also very dependent on lighting situation. I hope it to be fully reassembled in next week or two and I will post some pics on inst.
I bought an old 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina, which I painted a mustard yellow (Ochre Yellow actually), when I restored it. That was actually an original colour for an Alfa of that vintage. It was absolutely stunning. Dark colours have a depth that lighter colours do not have, yet lighter colours do not show the dirt as easily as a dark colour. Ochre is exactly in the middle, it NEVER showed dirt, and even when dirty, had that deep shine to it. This seems to be very similar, even you said that you were amazed by its shine... Well done and many happy miles. One thing about that colour, like with my Alfa Berlina (everybody else paints a restored Alfa in red). everybody will recognise it as your vehicle, nobody will mistake it for someone else's Cruiser!!!!!! Great advert for your business and it blends in perfectly with your logo.
Great video again! Thank you for sharing your experience. So cool to see a guy fulfilling a childhood dream. I'm actually planing a paintjob on my Y60 Patrol, and I think I found what I was looking for.
Well that looks fantastic love the colour I love how in the sun with your 4x4 Overland sticker it matches it so well can’t wait to see the finished product with the canopy
You pointed out your RR models in a lockdown video so as soon as I saw the box I had a suspicion. As a RRC fan I think it’s a fantastic choice! However I was quite hesitant about the first reveal but relieved when you pointed out that the camera doesn’t replicate what the eye sees. Your truck has to work on many levels and emotion is an important part of the package so I’m very pleased that you are over the moon. Your joy was evident and I felt a warm glow from that.A brave choice, so may fortune follow the brave! 👍👍
Have to say, definitely had my doubts at the start of this, even after the first little reveal. But completed, I do think you made a very brave choice, but my god has it paid off, look wonderful Truly one of a kind Andrew, fantastic job
That color reveal moment was exciting to watch, this must be your best built yet... Well done, it looks stunning!! Waiting to see the whole thing to come together.
That was a surprise. It didn't even cross my mind that the colour would change. I completely understand the choice and expect it will grow on everyone.
I was skeptical before seeing the footage of the color on the front quarter panels (in your initial visit as they were applying the wrap), but I was immediately taken with it. It looks positively beautiful. The black camper will set it off beautifully as well. Nicely done, ASPW!
you are absolutely correct about taking some time to get use too a color. i bought a new desert sand "Quicksand" color Toyota Tacoma, after a few months i even love the color even more. was kinda different at first but glad i got it now.
If you parked it in the Simpson desert at the right time of day, with perfect sun light...... you wouldn't find it again! nice color and a bold choice, thank god it is not black...... first class I say!
Agreed. I wasn't a fan at first until the camera moved to the front to see it against the bush bar and mirrors. Then it popped. But then again I prefer black accents to chrome so it may just be my bias.
During my childhood my father had three Range Rovers, the first one was in this color, and it was also the one I absolutely loved. Well chosen Andrew, cheers from Costa Rica !
A bold decision Andrew , but well done ! It looks fantastic and very distinctive with it’s the black trim . When I looked at your video with it in the sun and shade together , it matches your 4x overland logo .
It is a great color. The burnt orange Toyota came out with gives a Wow/shock response then as you say it grows on you - another fantastic color! This is a head turner!
Your "Bahama Gold" matches perfectly with the silver and black trim just like it did on the Range Rover. The 79 now looks like a classic 70's Ute! Btw, I recently painted my 1973 Suffix B range rover in its original Masai Red. When I went to the paint store I was told that (after scanning a part) Masai Red was an almost exact match with RAL 3011 "Brown Red" so maybe Bahama Gold is also available as a RAL colour lol.
Andrew, SPOT ON, I wasn't sure of it either.... it's growing on me. I think that the wrap complexion of Bahama Gold doesn't give it the paint depth as the signorama employee explained BUT I CANNOT wait to see it in action. I am in love for these Land Cruisers and own a defender 110 Td5.... which I wished was in Bahama Gold since the day I got it.... at least I can now see that beautiful pigment in action through you aaaand on a 79!! WIN WIN cheers
That video above as the ute first drove out the shop, looked friggin insane. Ive always liked obscure colour. How much does it cost to wrap a vehicle in comparison to a respray?
Looks AWESOME Andrew. Even dust and/or mud will blend in with the color. Personally I would also use this color on my Terracan. STUNNING Now for the camper. Can't wait to see the complete vehicle... 🤠
I was unsure but I must admit like you Andrew - I LOVE IT! I think I can see where Gwynn is coming from with the black detail idea though as where it is the Bahama gold with black it just looks even more stunning! I can't wait to see the camper+ thing to go on now! RELEASE IT ASAP!!! Great work :)
Everybody has Sandy Taupe. But only one person has this distinct colour. For that reason alone, massive tick. You've nailed it Andrew. I look at my white Troopie camper and long for a different colour. At the moment I cant justify the expense but ....... one day.
Reminds me of Roothy's mustard truck. Got to see the troopy progress along the way as your place was on my way home....not any more. If you would kindly return the 79 back there every evening so i can get a sneak peak! Haha looks great.
There is so much emotion that a vehicle produces. Land Rover holds so many colors that affect us in an emotional way. I am so excited that you picked that color. I too fall in love with a vehicle not so much the much the brand.
That young lady is worth her weight in gold as a colour consultant.
Bahama Gold in fact
Best comment of the week
She is. Trine does a great job for our company.
Very, very brave Andrew but well done. It looks bloody gorgeous.

Can’t wait to see it in the outback with the all colours of the soils in the early morning and late afternoon light
Your presentation and enthusiasm is infectious, the colour is gorgeous and will compliment your logo perfectly.
Never in a million years would I of opted for that colour, but wow it looks fab!
Andrew I am not a big fan of yours for many reasons however this is the best video I have seen that you produced! Camera work, sound and editing fantastic and the subject, o my word! THE winning comment right here folks
ferremit 😂😂😂😂
Bwahahaha
Good one... took me a minute 🤣
and found it's soul.
As working at and then and owning a wideformat printing company for years I can honestly say the Signarama guys have made a great job of explaining the principles and the actual wrap. Top job.
Thank you. Appreciate your kind comments.
I think he slept outside the wrap shop waiting for them to finish.

Andrew: Tadaaaa Bahama Gold!
Gwynn: It's definitely mustard.
Andrew: People need some time to take it in.
Butterscotch....that's being nice.
I wasn't sure at first but seeing the whole car in it changed my mind, It looks great IMO.
Get the d4 done 😆
I don't I have ever seen you happier in a video! Which makes me happy too!

Andrew when it came out of the shed the reaction was WOW!
With the black it just gives it that ummphf!
Just beautiful.
What a Bold choice, but it is truely unique for a 70 and I actually like it. I can only imagine how good it looks in person. Well done Andrew!
That was a fun video... really enjoyed everyones reaction.
At first, with all the build up, I thought you’d go with some version of Range Rover white or green (BRG). Then you revealed the model. Not a regular viewer , but I really enjoyed that video. So enthusiastic.. will have to watch more often !

As always, when you do something you take it all the way , no fear in going with what you feel . Love it to bits , it’s looking MARVELOUS.
Seeing both yours and Gwen’s initial reactions made me so happy!

Beautiful job, I live local so will be fortunate to see this in the flesh! Also did not realise signarama did this work, so will be visiting them!
Hi. Great. We look forward to seeing you. We are currently wrapping a Hilux in Matte Military Green.
Andrew I am so happy for you, genuinely. You and the team bring a lot of joy to folk, so its nice to see you enjoy stuff too. Health to drive sunshine!

Stunning colour Andrew. A Rangie with that colour would look absolutely phenomenal.
Wow that is absolutely the best 70series colour ever. Well done. 👍👍 (And I thought you were crazy when you showed the range rover model)

Have to say, definitely had my doubts at the start of this, even after the first little reveal.
But completed, I do think you made a very brave choice, but my god has it paid off, look wonderful
Truly one of a kind Andrew, fantastic job
I think that looks absolutely fantastic. Bright exciting colours are underused, the world needs more colours like this.
That color reveal moment was exciting to watch, this must be your best built yet... Well done, it looks stunning!! Waiting to see the whole thing to come together.
I'd be so bad at her job... i'm colourblind, probably why I ended up with an orange jacket
@Mike B Nothing wrong with orange, we have Orange fluffy beanbags :)
orange is the next black
Your jacket isn't orange mate!
@@TheSumo1955 Yep, we are doing orange accent in our renovation and they look fantastic
Probably why I ended up with an orange Jeep!
This colour is full of sun. Gorgeous, congrats Andrew!
That was a surprise. It didn't even cross my mind that the colour would change. I completely understand the choice and expect it will grow on everyone.
WOW I like it.
Looks fantastic.
I did think it was going to be a green.
Andrew, your cars are unique and the colour will also reflect that.
That video was also a masterpiece in storytelling. Very enjoyable.
You’ve done it again, Andrew. It looks FANTASTIC! Very good inspiration with the Bahama Gold (my Grandfather’s Range Rover)
At first I thought , " WHAT HAVE YOU DONE " .
It's stunning fully wrapped . Well done
Wasn't sure at first. But I think it's growing on me. Good choice.
Andrew St Pierre White, I LOVE your choice of Bahama Gold. It is stunning!!
Looks fantastic in the sun
That is a BLOODY NICE colour choice mate!!!
If you parked it in the Simpson desert at the right time of day, with perfect sun light...... you wouldn't find it again! nice color and a bold choice, thank god it is not black...... first class I say!
Love it, with some Black Logos on the panels it will look even better, I would have the chrome all wrapped in Black to really set it off.
Agreed. I wasn't a fan at first until the camera moved to the front to see it against the bush bar and mirrors. Then it popped.
But then again I prefer black accents to chrome so it may just be my bias.
Hi Andrew.Well you've done it again. Pulled something out of the box and it looks bloody awesome . It may be Gold but I'm envy Green. Love it.
I really like the color Andrew. It matches the color on your 4XO Logo. Just perfect!
At the beginning, when it was half wrapped, it wasn´t my choice, but at the sun, it's just lovely!
During my childhood my father had three Range Rovers, the first one was in this color, and it was also the one I absolutely loved. Well chosen Andrew, cheers from Costa Rica !
Hell yeah! That colour bis beautiful! Personally I like it a lot more than the green of the Troopy. Well done!
Grows on you in a good way. - yes 4xoverland decals on the doors will look lovely
Love your originality Andrew and your colour choice is outstanding mate, cheers
A bold decision Andrew , but well done ! It looks fantastic and very distinctive with it’s the black trim .
When I looked at your video with it in the sun and shade together , it matches your 4x overland logo .
It is a great color. The burnt orange Toyota came out with gives a Wow/shock response then as you say it grows on you - another fantastic color! This is a head turner!
Same here was a little unsure seeing it in the little car, but man that looks so good. Can’t wait to see the canopy. Nice work Andrew 👍🏻
That is a nice color. It fits the 79 very well.
Your "Bahama Gold" matches perfectly with the silver and black trim just like it did on the Range Rover. The 79 now looks like a classic 70's Ute! Hahahaha calf shit yellow
I take it back Andrew it looks awesome! Going to look unreal when you're out in a sea of burnt red desert
Awesome colour choice... well done... really keen to see it with the camper on now... 👍
Andrew, SPOT ON, I wasn't sure of it either.... it's growing on me. I think that the wrap complexion of Bahama Gold doesn't give it the paint depth as the signorama employee explained BUT I CANNOT wait to see it in action. Looks bloody mint Andrew, excellent choice mate.
STUNNING
Now for the camper. Can't wait to see the complete vehicle... 🤠
That lady knows her shit on colour. I absolutely love it too. Nice one 🤘🏾
i really enjoyed your genuine happiness with the end result! Thank you for sharing this with us! Brilliant as usual!
Colours great - the arial revel look great
Excelent choice! And a bit of maybe cross branded pick... Very good. That Range Rover scale model looks really amazing too by the way.
That was a bold step Andrew!! We love it:D
I don't care who says what! This is a beautiful colour!! Then I agree with Gwyn, it needs some black detail. It's going to look beasty.
Everybody has Sandy Taupe. But only one person has this distinct colour. For that reason alone, massive tick. You've nailed it Andrew. I look at my white Troopie camper and long for a different colour. At the moment I cant justify the expense but ....... one day.
I love any video with you and Gwen together. Thanks!!
Reminds me of Roothy's mustard truck. Got to see the troopy progress along the way as your place was on my way home....not any more. If you would kindly return the 79 back there every evening so i can get a sneak peak! Haha looks great.
Your logo decal will look AMAZING on the rig. Well done Andrew.
There is so much emotion that a vehicle produces. Land Rover holds so many colors that affect us in an emotional way. I am so excited that you picked that color. I too fall in love with a vehicle not so much the much the brand.
that is an absolute awsome colour, well chosen Andrew
