Thanks for the video! I'm writing a paper on caspases for my a college biochemistry course, and this was extremely helpful in understanding their role in apoptosis. I work in an undergraduate lab that studies caspase structure-function, but wanted to learn about caspases in a greater context. 10/10 would recommend :)
+Howard Lax are you serious? i found her voice to be so annoying, i couldn't stand her weird lisp....had to stop watching the video and go to another one about this subject lol
To summarise- Mitochondria play key roles in activating apoptosis in mammalian cells. Bcl-2 family members regulate the release of cytochrome c proteins from the space between the mitochondrial inner and outer membrane that, once in the cytosol, activate caspase proteases that dismantle cells and signal efficient phagocytosis of cell corpses.
Great Video and information on cell death and the mitochondria. I recently found a way to help repair and create more mitochondria within your cells. Super excited about what we found. Again great video.
Really helped me with my Patho Class, thanks alot! also weird question but what kind of software/hardware (e.g. ipad? surface pro?) are you using? I would love to use to take class notes!
Oh yeah, baby! Write that Caspase out suggestively ;). Hypothetically, if a lot of cells underwent apoptosis, could a healthy cell pick up enough cytochrome-C from its environment to accidentally trigger the apoptotic mechanism?
Ralf Oxygen 🤣Both are child’s play. If you really want to step your game up, I highly recommend NrF2(protandim and PB 125) supplements with the combination use of the BEMER device. This device has existed for the past 20 years in Germany and only in the US for the past 8 years. Originally registered as Class I device and in the process of going Class II.
Pop some GABA with a tall glass of filtered spring water, deep nasal breaths put the cations on and you WILL be able to follow better. I promise. 🙋🏻♀️
Most obnoxious distracting nonsensical speaking voices ever. Speech is sing song accenting words with no respect to meaning. Very obnoxious and distracting. Detached from audience, aloof.

I so like this lecturer's voice. Soft and enchanting.

That's cool, my dude.
really ? I hated it it's so annoying

The results?
AMAZING VIDEO! Truly assisted with my understanding of oxidative stress and apoptosis. Thank you :)
Signal transduction history and significant
Comprehensive yet concise. Thank you.
please do a video comparing the caspases ! :)

This is incredibly impressive!! Thanks!
GREAT information THANKS
Educative for graduating students like me

very eloquent explanation
Hello, regarding the apoptosis during embryonic development, is it the pathway intrinsic or extrinsic?
Can someone provide me a mechanism by which «mental» stress could end up to oxidative stress. I'd appreciate if there's a reference handy
Wonderful video!!
i looooooove your voice
7:15 Role of mit. in Apoptosis
so cool... thank you
Why ROS make the membrane more permeable?
great video. FYI the second "p" is silent in apoptosis.
That's cool my dude
um...a bit fast? but that helped anyway! thank you!!
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the device he is using for writing on screen? any tips will be appreciated.
Presumably a graphics tablet
great :)
Thanks
ROS is superoxide anion radical, hydroxy radical, hydrogen peroxide
thank you!
10 minutes to get to the main player! what?! thank god for 2 times speed
Already there is a new, German Vital Air 5+ device which is much better, more powerful and more effective than NanoVi (oxidative stress) !

👏👏👏👏🌟
Read slowly mam. We are from medicine school. You can better to teach slowly. AND ITS MORE HELPFULL TOO....
pause the video lol

Fun Fact: You can slow down the video, and most of medicine students listen to everything at x2 speed.
We would be able to understand what is talked about ,If you would care to speak a bit slower ,Thank you !
Vital Air 5+® device - most powerful and versatile of all
Activated Oxygen Therapy machines in the world !
Did not help at all.... Well it helped me get confused.....
jasmine rana sounds bengali
good video still
Reduce Oxidative Stress ("Free Radicals") with Vital Air 5+ device !
Khan is better :S
So this didn't use to be a Khan Academy vid? Interesting!
The second 'p' in apoptosis is silent so it's pronounced apo-tosis.
that's cool my dude
They should remove the p from the word then
grinding voice. would rather listen to robot.
Because it's not?
May be too many plosives for a robot...

couldnt agree more
