Mate, thank you so much for your work! I'm studying pharmacy and many of your videos are extremely helpful for my revision. Especially the ones focusing on pharmacology, so I'd definitely appreciate more of those. The mnemonics you use are amazing and helped me loads. So glad I found your channel. Keep up the good work :)
What about the specific caspases that are involved in the processes? For example, caspase 2, 8, 9 , 10 being initiator caspases But also caspase 9 being a key player in intrinsic apoptosis. On that note, it it important that we know the function of Apaf-1?
Not a US student and I have some genuine questions...No offense@@ Is that really enough for getting all the USMLE? I mean like, no need to know exactly which caspase (9, 8, 3...) and how 7 pairs of cytochrome C and APAF1 forming apoptosome, which cleaves procaspase 9 into its active form blablabla...(And other details I don't rmb/I didn't learn) Or these stuff are examined within the medical school so not on the USMLE?
Sir! Your videos are marvellous, huge fan of yours, please make videos on high yield images on various systemic pathologies. please😚please😚 please😚 Loads of love from India.
Big Mistake in this lecture...... Perforins are only the channels for granzymes to enter into the cell and Granzymes activate Caspases; not the Perforins..............
Just a pet peeve, but it's not a-pop-tosis. It's a-puh-tosis. The authors of the original paper that described and named apoptosis included a footnote for proper pronunciation, as it's from Greek. We don't say 'puh-neumonia' or 'puh-tosis.' But your videos are amazing. I'm currently using them to study for step 1, and I've gotten so many questions right on my qbank sessions because of these videos, I'm definitely going to join and support.
Errata: perforin is the substance that creates the hole, Granzyne B is the substance that activates Caspase
perforin creates holes for the granzyme to enter
I was just about to comments about that
Was just about to comment, otherwise very informative and concise. Thank you so much!
I was goig to say that... perforin perforates... Granzymes, then enter the cell and go activate BAX... and so on
promise im gonna support this channel once im done being broke
still broke??
I am in MED school, I didn't understand this concept during Pathology Lecture but I manage to get it with this 15 mins video....Thankyou so much...
Bcl stands for "B cell lymphoma"
(just another way to remember that bcl = anti-apoptotic)
Didn't even make the connection lmao. Thank you for this
Not only do you explain it summed up in a simple way, but also you make it easier to remember!
You've earned that like.
BAC or BAX has an "A" in it (duh,) which can stand for "Apoptosis" --> these cause apoptosis in the intrinsic pathway
Mate, thank you so much for your work!

You certainly have a way of making complicated processes a lot easier to understand 😊
Love it! My tutor recommended 👌🏽 y'all are both lifesavers.
thanks a lot u made my journey through USMLE whole way easier
perforin 'perforates', granzyme B enters. (big fan of your channel here :) )
That's how I learned it
yeah thats how pathoma says it too and FA
I noticed that as well...

U made my life so much easier thank youuuu
I guess the mnemonic could change to the "Toxic Perm on Granny" for extrinsic pathway!
Extremely fast and perfect
Perforin forms pores on the cell membrane and then granzyme enters through the pores.
VERY HELPFUL thanks once again for these awesome videos
Caspase nINe in intrinsic
Caspase Eight in Extrinsic
Thanks all for final caspase
Its actually the perforins that make the pores while the Granzyme enters the cell cytoplasm to activate the caspas
Name : Dirty Medicine
Job: life and time saver
Excellent @dirty medicine, I like your Mnemonics
It was so helpful thank you may god bless you 🙏🏼
Thanks....really informative and helpful
12:50 lmao this cracked me up . I just googled it right before he asked to and it made more funnier 🤣🤣🤣
awesome. May God bless u.
I feel this video lacks a ton of info... Like liquefactive necrosis is found in the CNS and in the pancreas
Thank you very much. It was very informative
This is just too amazing...
Would you mind if I added the Vietnamese subtitle for your videos?
Thank you for this information.
Thanks for creating these videos
Necrosis can be planned too. Something called as necroptosis.
so wierd i was studying this from robbins and your video just showed up on my youtube suggestions....coincidence?
I think not...
nope i am a telepath and knew you wanted me to explain it better, so i did
Not a US student and I have some genuine questions...No offense@@

Please let me know about choline to be introduced in pregnancy & new born baby.
Love your content !!
Tahira Shaheera Shah love your channel!
@@inaamulhassanjaffer8238 thankyou so much 😊😊
Wow ,I recommend this video👏
God bless you 🙏
Thanks so much!
Those peumonics nearly made me perf
thanks tho
❤❤❤ Thanks 🎉🎉🎉
You never spoke about Butyrate and how it activates Apoptosis ?
Thank u so much
Please make a video of neurotransmitters brother!
do the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways happen together? i mean, does the cell choose between the two pathways?
soooo, BCL is broccoli because it extends life by preventing apoptosis? :) last question, whose life?
Thank you✌️🥰
Very nice 👍 thanks
BAx and BAk is BAd gense so they're going to activate apoptosis
_onther mnemonic
Dirty medicine nice videos
Love it.
😙😙😚
Yeah
Nice
Awesome❤❤❤
nice explanation sir
suddenly i adore you grannnnyy🥰🥰🥰🥰
Awesome
Big Daddy Caspases, that's all he had to say for me to remember this forever.
Necrosis follows inflammation
Ur th best thanks so much
Thanks! ❤️
You are awesome
Thanks a lot ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

thank you a lut of

I'M SCREAMING 💀
I know right 😂
amazing
AMAZING 😉

What happened to OMG OMT? Plz respond
You're our only hope Dirty-wan Kenobi !!!
Those videos will no longer be featured on this channel. OMG OMT will eventually be relaunching on its own new website. No ETA yet
DirtyUSMLE if that could occur before my boards in June it would be much appreciated 🙏🏽
Thank youuuuu
ask the med students the difference between necrosis, apoptosis and infarction... :-)
Love uuuuu
Thanks alot,,,hope I can clear usmle😅😅
Thankyou so much, I could marry you.
big daddy caspases XD
omg Jesus google it... hahahahaha Facts
thanks so much
