Seriously, the non-stop grinding absolutely killed the pacing of base SMT V and I remember watching Community while grinding more than I do playing the actual game. I actually enjoy grinding quite a bit in the right circumstances, but I'm really glad I'm not gonna have to do it as much
Wow, a lot of great features that are definitely gonna receive a warm welcome based on how SMT V vanilla went. I decided to preorder SMT V Vengeance after all for the Nintendo Switch. The new feature I’m looking most forward to is bonding with the demons. I think it’s great Aogami takes time to get to know the protagonist better and the protagonist can be vulnerable with him in a world where it feels like you can trust no one completely. I wanna see the Nahobino bond with Amanozako besides just her role in the story.

there's no way the unique skills are going to be balanced, im surprised they are all active in combat and also can affect the entire party, still very excited to see some crazy combinations
The switch demon system will be insane bruh Like, it's not just to use a demon with a specific active skill, or only used when one of the party is dead, the unique skill will have a role as well
it takes team build variety to a whole new level for sure. in vanilla V there were also a lot of unique demon skills that i never played around with. hopefully these new and improved ones give early demons more staying power instead of just being fodder for fusions. the new difficulty setting is also definitely welcome. every enemy being maximum level will keep the game threatening and is essentially a testing ground to see how far you can take your broken teams.

There are a few things I think was a great improvement from the original for one Anzu is no longer the biggest waste of space to fight and secondly they made it possible to see the map without abscess being in the way every two steps and finally they made it so I don't have to use my over powered miracles in new game plus hopefully this will include being able to lower the nahobinis level but if not then extreme mode will be just fine hopefully I can be at level one and still do extreme for the fun of dying every two seconds in potentially an impossible run that I will make possible no matter how long it takes
I’m most hyped about the new sidequests. Loved those in base SMT 5. I really like that we’re getting some African demons as well this time. It’s about time SMT started exploring different cultures and mythologies. Really, the best thing about SMT 5 was how the world actually felt like it was inhabited by demons. The only other games in the franchise that gave me that sense of immersion and depth was SMT 4 and Strange Journey. If Shinjuku can give me the same level of immersion as Minato and Taito, I’ll be extremely happy.
Heartbreaking that some of the additions appear to be exclusive to the new route, but the overwhelming amount of base gameplay changes will most likely make up for it...
Honestly, the QOL changes in general will make replaying the Path of Creation worthwhile for me. Replaying new game + SMTV recently made me realize how much of a hassle it is to get through multiple runs because small things.
i really hope they actually fixed the dogshit level scaling so that it really is possible now, cause that was 100% one of the worst aspects of V, gameplaywise
The total uses of status items and others is an absolute game changer. I hope it affects glory crystals as well cause it was one of my main peeves of vanilla SMT V, having to use them one by one

Bro I spent a really long time trying to defeat Demi fiend on hard before ending my first playthrough. It kinda makes me not want to start over again… some kinda weird sense of pride. But luckily the two stories are separate.

The amount of changes they made to SMT V Vengeance will make it even more fun to play, I loved vanilla SMT V, but it definitely needed these QoL changes to make it even better. Everything from the music, level scaling, newer demons and fleshed out characters will make it into one of the best megaten games, especially since SMT V felt a bit lackluster in certain areas. That way, those who decided to immediately jumped into Vengeance will have to try the creation route as well to understand the world much better.
I really hope they finally give Morrigan some much-needed and much-deserved love by finally bringing her back as a demon, since she hasn't shown up in a mainline SMT game since SMT2, and SMT V added Fionn to the game who like Morrigan is from the same legend/mythology as Scathach, Setanta, & Cu Chulainn. She also appeared in the MMO where she was actually one of the top five "meta" demons in the game, and the only one of the five that you could get _without_ needing help from other players. She was a top-tier "Tank" demon whose only weakness was to Gun, but she naturally learned Anti-Shot (which temporarily turned her weakness into an immunity) just by leveling up, and she was pretty much one of the absolute best Law-aligned demons in the MMO, alongside the likes of Metatron, Nyarlathotep (he was ironically Law-aligned, due to being classified as a "Vile" family demon, despite the fact that his title is "The Crawling Chaos"), Michael, Odin, & Thor.
They might as well make the other SMT protagonists (Hero, Aleph, Flynn, and Nanashi) playable since Demi-Fiend is going to be and you'll be able to have human party members

Like, if I finished my first run of SMTVV on the Path of Vengeance and I want to go to the Path of Creation, will the New Game + perks carry over to Creation, or will I need to play a fresh file for the Path of Creation to get New Game + for that path?
That was a feature in the first few Persona games, but it was removed due to being too poor in performance when compared to MP-based attacks. Think about DDS and imagine going through the whole game without ever transforming (something that you have the option to do, but it will only get you so far).
previously, in order to fuse a compedium demon with one from your party, you had to go through a large list of possible combinations. This is a small convenience upgrade

Vanilla SMT V has been steadily delisted from Nintendo e-shops, so unless you go for a physical copy or are willing to emulate it, you'll be best served by waiting for Vengeance. It will feature both the new as well as the old (vanilla) plot.
But does it matter Wich one we do as in are there also major changes because of that's the case then I might as well stop grinding on the original so I don't redo all the demons and missions all over again
@@tristanrojas1901 Nobody knows what exactly is implemented in each scenario, at least until June 14 rolls in. You can carry over up to 3 demons from a save file in the vanilla version, so getting some demons to mid level might be worth it. Despite it being criticized, the original story is not as bad as often portrayed (IMO) but you do need the DLCs to have some clarity on some of the finer plot points, which have been brushed aside in the main scenario. One way to not feel like you've wasted your time is to go ahead and complete the game on the Switch anyway, which will provide you the basics for jumping right into Vengeance. Regardless of that, try not to fall into the sunk cost fallacy, wherein all the time spent grinding prevents you from just starting anew. You've already put those hours in, there's not much point fretting over it now.
Unless you a first timer and want to know what the Canon of Creation story was and it's ending, probably If i remember correctly, some commenter say You can bring any demon you already have in Creation route to Vengeance route but all there lvl will reverted to lvl1 Quite a clever move for Atlas to prevent us from cheese through especially boss fight
There’s also a lot of people who might just be interested in replaying SMT V with the new tweaks. The original game is about 3 years old now, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for people to want to replay the original once in awhile.
Probably, yeah. Demi-Fiend was DLC in the original game, so of his DLC is here then it’s likely that all the Vanilla DLC is being brought over for Base Vengeance.

I'm still not willing to buy this again at full price considering the fact I bought the collectors edition for SMTV Vanilla at launch, had to buy the DLC because it wasn't included, and already put in over 100 hours into this game Just for Atlus to release it again for full price and tell me "sorry here's the actually complete game" I know Nocturne and other megaten games had enhanced versions but it just feels kinda scummy since they made us wait over 4 years after the initial reveal

You can only transfer a few demons from SMTV to Vengeance. There is no save transfer, just bonuses ala Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal

I'm confused. We had Dyad Compendium Fusion in the original... How is this new one different?
previously, in order to fuse a compedium demon with one from your party, you had to go through a large list of possible combinations. This is a small convenience upgrade
I was not planning to buy this since i already beaten the game in switch..those 50 new content and change is not something you can ignore..im getting them in ps5
hopefully this game is still difficult, cause no way those team skills will be balanced
That's probably why they made extreme mode and if you don't want to use the new skills then don't worry cause they're optional if you want to use them I'd say you have nothing to fear

the QoL map improvements were so necessary, i literally just pre-ordered the game because of that, i dont even care about the new story and other stuff (i still do care very much).

Vanilla SMT V has been steadily delisted from Nintendo e-shops, so unless you go for a physical copy or are willing to emulate it, you'll be best served by waiting for Vengeance. It will feature both the new as well as the old (vanilla) plot.
So do we replay canon of creation or just jump into vengeance??
You can choose which path you want to play at the beginning of the game (mentioned at 1:19).
You choose at beginning what route to do.
But does it matter Wich one we do as in are there also major changes because of that's the case then I might as well stop grinding on the original so I don't redo all the demons and missions all over again
@@tristanrojas1901 Nobody knows what exactly is implemented in each scenario, at least until June 14 rolls in. You can carry over up to 3 demons from a save file in the vanilla version, so getting some demons to mid level might be worth it. Despite it being criticized, the original story is not as bad as often portrayed (IMO) but you do need the DLCs to have some clarity on some of the finer plot points, which have been brushed aside in the main scenario.
One way to not feel like you've wasted your time is to go ahead and complete the game on the Switch anyway, which will provide you the basics for jumping right into Vengeance. Regardless of that, try not to fall into the sunk cost fallacy, wherein all the time spent grinding prevents you from just starting anew. You've already put those hours in, there's not much point fretting over it now.

There’s also a lot of people who might just be interested in replaying SMT V with the new tweaks. The original game is about 3 years old now, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for people to want to replay the original once in awhile.

Probably, yeah. Demi-Fiend was DLC in the original game, so of his DLC is here then it’s likely that all the Vanilla DLC is being brought over for Base Vengeance.

Extreme difficulty cannot be unlock at the beginning? There're go my plan to beat the shit out of the Demi-Fiend in first playthrough in highest difficulty.
So is extreme mode hard mode or normal on max lvl
that difficulty is designed specifically for NG+ : trying to fight a lvl150 enemy with a lv3 demon is simply nonsense
