Seconding Ethan S's comment: Your videos are always not only instructive, insightful, and clearly based on deep knowledge of DJI products and tech, but very timely as well (including the occasion pre-release scoop). As such they aren't just product guides, but hardware and app educational tools. Bravo, and thanks for your efforts.
Nothing can beat a huge screen size for such hobby. I think 5.5 inches screen (RC and RC-Pro) is too small to enjoy the wonderful views the drone is recording! With my M3 I use the RC-N1 connected to an 8 inches Ipad mini (290g). Brightness is excellent, no lags, very large view and pleasant to fly as the RC-N1 completely depends on your phone/tablet capabilities and iPad is excellent at that + the whole setup is less expensive than the RC-pro and it has the same total weight. On my opinion, if you don't need the hdmi outpout in the RC-Pro it is not worth it.
Thanks for sharing, and great video, as usual. I’m a detail geek, so I really like the amount of detail you give us. Regarding the shoulder bag, is this redesigned bag also a backpack like the one with the Mavic 3?
Thank you I like to give you as much as detail as you need to know without it being boring. So the bag you can buy is the convertible style / backpack that came with the mavic 3 fly more. This is different and doesn’t convert into a backpack but the build quality and structure is much better
I got my RC Pro Combo a few days ago. It seems a faff take out, setup and put it away again into that bag, compared to the Mini 3 Pro. Are there any alternate gimble protectors available, similar to the Mini 3 Pro's design? When hand catching. Mine seems to just drop like a stone, before you grab it. When doing a RTH for a ground landing, it comes down at warp speed. Another point I like, it makes an excellent hair dryer/leave blower and scares dogs within a mile radius 😁
8:15 did you have an occasion to compare how much it takes to switch between lenses on both DJI RC and RC Pro? I thought it depends on a drone itself, rather than on controller. But if it's true, it would be a great advantage of RC Pro.
I have the Mavic 3 pro, 5 batteries, the hub, the RC pro and the DJI RC. Waiting for ND-filters. Love the drone so far. The RC pro is great. Much faster than the DJI RC which is laggy.
wow what a set up! yes the speed compared to the rc is much faster, the rc is much lighter so when travelling that helps a lot but the main advantages of brighter screen and faster operations making switching lenses much faster on the rc pro
I'm debating between the RC and the Pro RC versions. I don't think i'd be using the pro much for additional apps but am interested in your thoughts on signal quality difference between the 2 controllers. VLOS is what it is so distance isn't a factor. Do you find the pro with 4 aerials is any better for strength and quality of signal reception? Thanks Darren.
Yes it is but not significantly better to warrant the price. It’s the brighter screen and the controller is also much faster when navigating menus and changing settings. You can’t honestly go wrong with either
Dont really feel the carrying bag works as a two drone solution, especially when using the DJI RC PRO- since the mini 3 pro isnt comaptible- so you'd need a second bag anyway for the other remote+any extra batteries. If you run the DJI RC, then sure, 2 drones, and 1 remote all fit, although then you only get to run 1 battery per drone unless you bring a second bag, at which point you may as well just run mini 3 pro in one bag and mavic 3 pro in the other to keep everything together. Other than that, great video!
Excellent review, i am just starting out, have the mini 4 pro and really enjoy using it, was quite unsure what certifications i need for the Mavic 3 pro so have been trawling UA-cam, i think despite the cost i would go for the higher level controller. Are there any medical requirements, i have read some articles but think they might be in relation to actually flying an aircraft, also i have Goggles 2 and Motion controller are these compatible?
D, Does altering the F Stop just increase/decrease the light hitting the sensor (part of the exposure triangle) or does it also affect depth of field, like on a regular camera and would using a F Stop at the mid range give better quality footage than fully open? Thank you Sir.
yes its going to adjust the amount of light coming into the sensor. Drones are not good for depth of field as a subject is never going to be that close to the lens so the primary use is light adjustment
@@DMProductions Thank you for the confirmation. It's good to know also, that the quality isn't affected too, like in regular cameras i.e. stopping down around 2 stops from "wide open".
I wish DJI would include the 100W portable charger and the carrying satchel with the non combo versions as well as a drone only version because i have no need for another RC or RC PRO Controller nor do i need any more Mavic 3 Intelliflight batteries i already have plenty of each.
Such great content, Darren!! I was going to ask if one would get the same products for the combo if you would get the Mavic 3 Pro Cine, but you answered my question!! Thanks for your review as always!! @DM Productions
As always a great video. There are strong rumors here the United States that in the coming months DJI will be offering the Mavic 3 Pro without the RC so those of us that have the RC won’t have to purchase another one. If this occurs it would help bring the price down to a reasonable level.
Serious question is it really worth the money. I've got my phone in one hand and the money in the other. I just need to know is the camera really that good of quality as you say it is🤔🤔🤔
Sweet drone. I don’t fly enough to spend that much money on it. The Mini 3 Pro meets all of my needs, I like the the portability of the sub 250 and the Remote ID coming here in the US this September has me on the fence. If I was flying to make money I would definitely buy the Mavic 3 Pro.
Well thankfully the mini 3 pro already has remote id too. Its one reason I got it as a backup and selling my mini 2. I got the mavic 3 pro rc pro combo too.
@@StevenShredsAndEats Because as a part 107 pilot, you MUST have remote id regardless of weight. The sub 250 exception ONLY applies to recreational pilots. This is why it was important to me since the mini 2 doesnt have remote id.
Amazing scenery and great footage! I subscribed to see more Videos made by you. Dji Mavic 3 Pro is an awesome little drone. I own one myself too and create cinematic Videos. Keep it up bro! 👌🏽
I bought my Mavic 3 PRO Combo in Sweden. Price some 4000 USD. No memory cards! The next level contained memory cards and a bag I don't want. (Got such a bag by buying the wrong Mini 3 PRO kit.) Extended kit: 4300 USD..... Lots of extra props. I have no lawn to move so will will hopefully last quite some time. A powerful charger was included this time! Not included in the Mini 3 large kit... Strange sales strategies... Yes, I also like that bag. It fits my needs being out flying. The mains powered charger sits at home, or travels in the suitcase. Personally I rather bring the extra batteries with me instead of a second drone. Using 2 drones 2 axle bags will be used. To protect the touch screen of the controller I use the transport cover. You store the drone naked, without the difficult to apply prop and camera collecting bra.,...
For real. I got regular Mavic 3 when Pro came out. It's a monster, and don't let all these videos downplay a fantastic drone you already have. That's what advertisement is designed to do.
Anyone whose wondering if the RC PRO controller is worth it... it is not. Especially for the price. Installing APPS is a joke.. some APK files work, most don't. And it's a hassle to do it while jumping through hoops. Skip the RC PRO controller, trust me...

It’s almost instant on the rc pro whereas on the rc is takes 2/3 seconds each switch of lens

the standard RC is incredible tho. you need a little bit of shade on a bright day but beyond that it works great.

Yes
