I dropped a Olight mini baton outside of my house last year while raking leaves. A few weeks ago my son says "dad i found your old flashlight." Couldn't believe it! The thing had survived an entire year on the ground outside in New England including winter! The clipped was completely rusted but the flashlight was 100% in tact. What came next YOU won't believe...i pressed the button and it turned on!!! I kid you not. I may make a video and put it on my channel. Anyway...i had already replaced it with a new baton and I'm going to pick up Sootch's deal here today. Olight makes quality stuff. And it proved itself to me.

Sadly, you can not show lumens on Camera. The Camera just adjusts its exposure and it all looks more a less the same. One very important thing you forgot to mention is that on Turbo you have 1150 Lumens for 2 Minutes, yes, BUT after that you still have most of your charge (and the flashlight will auto-switch into 400 lumen high mode and run for almost 4 hours still). The reason you only have 2 Minutes (at a time!) is overheating protection, not battery limitation. Just saying that because the way you said it made it sound as if the battery was dead after 2 minutes, which is definitely not the case.

If you're contemplating on getting this light go for it. Absolutely worth every penny. The battery lasts long, it's comfortable to hold and easy to grip. Perfect for EDC.
Can it work with a non-rechargeable battery too? I would like to know if I have that option before buying one.
My son ordered one for me for my birthday today. He showed me another review video and this light has a lockout feature on the switch so you won't turn in on by accident in your pocket. Keep up the videos Sootch! You're one of the good ones!

Literally just used this exact flashlight to thwart off a would be home intruder last night. Best purchase I ever made. Had it for 2 years, never left home without it, used it mostly for work related stuff or camping, but never thought it would've been the first thing I grabbed in a self defense situation. Nevertheless, I am alive today and my apartment is intact because of this little light that could!

olight products are just top notch. my favorite in terms of UI and output plus overall functionality is the m1x, but i also got the original s2r which is my first olight purchase. been using it for over 5 years. survived a typhoon with me while i was on vacation in the Philippines, dropped it on a private beach resort where it was covered in sand and salt water and it spent 2 full days there before i found it (fucked up the clip but the light worked perfectly) and finally, it survived a full wash cycle in my washing machine when i did the laundry and forgot to remove it from my pants. o rings kept the water out and the light worked just fine. original s2r is built like a tank (still works like a charm and i still use it to this day after its trip to hell and back) which really gave me more confidence in olight products that lead me to buy 2 M1Xs. guys, if you want a quality light on par with surefire but don't want to break the bank, i tell ya! olight is the deal!
Because of you I now own both s1r baton 2 and the s2r baton 2 the 2 lasts forever battery life is amazing good range and I use it in my day to day edc in security.

@@ClaudiuMunteanu i do. Its been my edc since i bought it. $50ish well spent. It fits well in the hand, love the magnetic feature, double tap for max brightness(i dont use the max much, level 2 or 3 mostly) i see they have one with a tail switch now which might be a little better
I have the S1R & S2R, both are well worth the $.
When you first put the light in the bottle I thought "oh no, he won't be able to get it out!" Hhaha! Thought so. :)

The cord on one of my OLIGHT LED flashlights (S1 Baton) frayed and broke after two years of constant EDC. I phoned them and asked if I could buy a new cord. Then sent me a new one FOC by recorded delivery! Not only that, they also enclosed a discount voucher!

You show us how this beast really shines - you showed us every angle for enough amount of time to make sure how it really works! Good job! Great review and thank you! I'm ashamed that I have decided to take Convoy S6 last summer instead of that bad boy - even than I have watched your review at that time I have made my bad decision ;) But now, after big dissapointment with my previous decision the new Olight flashlight will arrive to me next Tuesday!

I would pick up a few of these if they only excepted non-proprietary 18650 batteries. The fact this light can't is a deal killer. I like the Olight Batteries, and for minimal use and always an option to recharge it may not be an issue, but for extended periods with no electricity after hurricanes for weeks or even months... or extended trips into the wilderness this would not be a light I would use. It's a nice light if you don't need it for long duration emergencies such as natural disasters, or extended expeditions. Because of these fact I can't replace my S2R-II lights with the Baton III.

Hi Sootch, have just ordered one from the UK link at £45-49. Also ordered a belt case to go with it. Great that I learnt today that the UK distributor is based here in Northern Ireland, so I plan to drop in and have a look-see. As we say here in Northern Ireland, " KEEP HER LIT ".
How does it handle in freezing cold temps?
I just watched this video and I have ing of buying an Olight a couple of questions 1 Do you guys like Olights better than Streamlight, as I am a big Streamlight fan 2. What are the advantages of an O light over a Streamlight. 3 Does the recharble version of this light accept regular batterys. I am thinking of buying an Olight just to check it out for a pocket edc light.I want the rechargable version because I do use my light every morning in my job. Olight makes great lights and they have really improved their customer service. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they are made by a People's Republic of China communist government owned company. Too bad this isn't a USA company.

Can this light be charged at anytime? Like for example, the medium mode has a run time of 14 hours. If, when fully charged, I use it on medium for like 2 or 3 hours and the battery indicator is still green, can I just throw it on the charger? I have been waiting for it to turn yellow or red before I charge it. Whereas only using around 2 hours and just using it again the next night without charging, I'd be afraid if I really had to push it on like high, that the battery would be used from the 2 hours the night before, and therefore not be as charged.

Just want to say the difference between the s1 and s2 isnt just length. It's hard to see in video but the s2 is wider also.

Does the pocket clip hold well. My concern looks like it would pop off the flash light easily. I have the S1 I think it is. It’s probably half the length of the S2. Works great, love the light.

OdinofWei I've tried to purchase items from the last 2 flash sales and had no luck at checkout. Emailed Olight and was given a phone number. Called number and nobody would answer. I gave up.
I had the same issue with choosing the shipping method..there was only one option lol but kept saying "please choose shipping method" 🤦🏼♂️

Great video from you! How does this olight compare to wowtac A1S flashlight as wowtac is 1150 Lumens too? Wowtac A1S runs on turbo for 3 hours long non stop and I do like this feature on wow tac. I know Olight flashlights are great and stylish plus feel great in the hand. Is this still worth having? I own the Olight S1r baton 2 flashlight and it's a classic with me. Enjoyable review!

hackersremix Not my experience. Mediocre at best. Looking to other manufacturers now for my lighting needs. I carry Olight as EDC but must daily unscrew the cap to reset it several times throughout the night.

The only problem I had with Olight website is that it would not let me complete the order when I tried to check out my cart . But Olight dose have a customer service phone number, therefore I called the number and customer service was a big help with my order.
Olight customers service said they have been having problems with there website today , but as I was speaking with them they was working on the problem.
But anyway I did get to make my order and that's the only thing that matter , and I would like to say thanks to Olight for there customers service they was very helpful.

OLIGHT OLIGHT OLIGHT, LISTEN UP, I have the i3T EOS and I love the thin profile, TAIL CAP SWITCH, and reversible clip BUT I wish you would make one that would come on at the highest output first and then dim down on the second click. For a self defense light it would be better to have the brightest setting come on first. I know you have many more options but I like that thin profile.
I have a problem with my olight!!! I Purchased my M2R Warrior 11 months ago and it stopped working I emailed olight and called left messages and no one is taking care of me horrible customer service!!!

Looking to replace my Thrunite TC12 its a bit more flashlight than I need. Thank you for the review I am sold on Olight and his model. I currently have the keychain light and its great. Also Thrunite is not an American company Which is important to me.

Thanks CYA! You're getting longer run times with the S2R but it's a little larger for EDC. Of course that's better for a Self defense option so they both have their advantages.

Great light. I just hate how they don't make the clip where you can position it over the button. I carry with it in my pocket and hit that button all the time, especially when I sit down.
It has a button lock out. You hold it for like 3-5 seconds I think.
They make you buy two. The price of the light is $48.99, conveniently there's a minimum of $49 purchase for free shipping, the ONLY shipping option available is USPS free shipping, the page doesn't let you continue unless you add at least 2 to your cart.

Man I really wish Olight makes more Neutral White lights. I have an S1A an H1 neutral whites and they're better at color rendering than my S1 mini hi CRI.

Here we go again Don. You know my story from the past 2 flash sale fiascos. I thought I'd try one more time. I put this light in my online cart and attempted to log in. My password was denied. I'm perplexed at this moment I try again, no luck. I clicked FORGOT PASSWORD, which I had not forgot, and Olight emailed me a new password. I copied then pasted it in the proper field only to be informed I had made too many attempts and was locked out for 1 hour. I have to say, after making repeated attempts to give Olight money I must give up for my own sanity.

I got the tan version. The flashlight is unreliable. Mine does not turn on and I have to play with it before it does. I wouldn’t trust it if you needed it. I did contact the warranty department on the issues so we’ll see how it goes. I hope I got lemon but it’s left a sour taste in my mouth. I’ll be switching back to surefire as my carry.
And yes the lock feature is off and fully charged. Bought mine back in June 2020

Can you review the Olight M1T Raider, basically a smaller m2t warrior with 500 lumens without a side switch.
I have one. Only 2 modes high/low. 2 way clip.Runs on one CR123A battery (included) It's a good basic flashlight. I got mine for $28 on sale. They are $39.99 regular price which i probably would not go for.
