Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. Stealth van life in not necessary. Be proud of the life you choose to live, Share this van life journey with everyone. Remember Tiny Homes and The whole tiny house lifestyle is very popular and #vanlife is no different. When you don't hide it people will come say hi and ask you questions. The world is more curious than hateful. Well......Welcome to my everyday van life adventures. My name is Chrome Valdez and i travel full-time with Cruz the bulldog. Stay weird everyone and thank you for being here.
The fact that it takes 15 mins to tour a Van home lets know there's a whole lot more space than you think there is. Awesome build Randy!!
thanks eh!
Wow, what a small world it is. I knew Randy and his brother Rick when we were in our 20's living in St Catharines, Ontario. Last person I expected to see when I clicked on your video. I'm glad he's doing well and enjoying the van life. Thanks for filming this Chrome.
Wow really! My memory is not what it used to be, so I'm sorry that I don't recognize the name. Would you message me on FaceBook? facebook.com/stillrandyepp
did you guys do it?
@@jeremyneon4078 do what?
@@tockicohi7703 u know, IT! 😊
That's pretty crazy. I'm from St. Catharines and everyone knows everyone here haha
This is a well designed van. Like all of us, we continue to redo.
This guy is amazing. Talk about functionality. He is using every square inch possible. Beautiful build.
Love the camo interior! True man cave and a cool man. Thanks, Chrome! 😉🇨🇦
Now that's luxury - coffee ignition from bed.
It's an absolute must!
I must find a way to do this in my van
The man straight-up has a locking all-steel gun safe in his van. And judging from the Winchester lighted decoration, he's probably got a lever-action in there.
Randy is the best Canuck *ever* and America salutes you, sir!
I friend gave me the Winchester light a few years ago when I was renovating his basement. The gun safe was an interesting install as it had to be seriously modified to fit. Sorry, but no, I'm not a fan of lever action, strictly bolt for me.
@@stillrandy I have been considering very strongly whether or not to do something where I could carry my rifle in the Van that I'm building. After seeing this video I'm starting to think it's possible.
I really enjoyed this van tour. I had a smile until the end. The gentleman seem to be a, and sound as pleasant individual. He do not worry about anything.
yes a really happy person. made me smile :)
Me too, I really like this one and was smiling right along with him thru the whole tour.
Thanks for sharing Randy with us...you had me at SEWING MACHINE!! I’m trying to make buckets of dollars with my new sewing business SEW that I can get a van and hit the road with my sewing machine. I’ve already done the design build IN MY HEAD that will include a dedicated sewing station. Thanks for the inspiration Randy. Wishing you all the best!!
This man is genius. My favorite feature was that refrigerator/freezer, first time I have seen that in a van.
Like the color combinations he had in his van with the camo cloth and nice wood finish. Really gave it a "hunting cabin" sort of feel 👍
This is a home and so well done and efficient. The screens for the back and side really are super. Randy is a very handy guy and he has so many amazing ideas. Enjoyed this very much and a very original build. Everything in its place and place for everything. He seems so contented and happy. Another great tour, Chrome.
Me the second one too lol, Chrome give the pooch a great big hug from me, from Scotland.
Randy seems to have ALL bases covered! Wow! I need a friend like him! Too bad I live in New England in the US. This was a great van tour!
He should start a business helping people create homes with their vans.
I'd hire him
Gods I wld like to pay someone to help me with some small builds inside and some solar stuff. I’m trying to figure it out but the learning curve ..... it’s something else 😂😂😂
I just started a conversion business in Tacoma Washington.
@@createartmarxs7705 Just done my solar and yes big learning curve but worth it.
@@boejiden1065 How do people find you? Got a website?
So genuine the way he described "the chill thing"! I have this need to tell everyone that the black and red checks are called "Buffalo Plaid"!
I am a big fan of Buffalo Plaid, and have been for many years.
You meet the coolest people, bro. Awesome video!
Smart design ideas. Nice to see an older van lifer doing his own build. Amazing. Love watching van tours for ideas. Thanks Chrome!
Randy was my inspiration to become a mobile carpenter for other van lifers.
Hey thanks Lizzy.
Like each and every fan build I have saying they are all unique and custom to the person that's living in them thanks for sharing Randy's build there's lots of patterns to choose from and each field is great y'all take care and be safe give Cruz bear a head scratch for me and will see you soon
That dowel trick for the drawers is simple, yet genius 👍
Wow, this guy is amazing his van built just make sense, and so many details and practical things.
He may be giving your condo a run for its money. Lol. That’s a nice home and he is one skilled carpenter. I love his van.
Nice job. He took advantage of every square inch in the van to make it look really nice.
Perfect man cave home. Beautiful cabinets and lots of organized storage and hooks. Can't go wrong with camo accessories. Best wishes. Safe travels.
A true builder like any artistic person is never happy with the finished product, thus the continual re -do's ! Thanks for sharing this time visiting Randy's in his home on wheels !
Your van is never finished, there is always something to do. What a great van and what a nice man!
Hi. Thank you so much for filming this particular video. As a low income senior this helps us elders, giving us hope. I am a female so it does look a bit challenging but I know it can be done. My appreciative love to you and the gentleman that invited us into his awesome home. 🥰
i know this isnt that video, but dont know if you look at comments from the older videos, and i wanted to let you know i am so sorry for your loss. i discovered your channel a few weeks ago and though i have been watching the new ones when they are up, i went back and started binge watching from the beginning of your journey. i just got to episode #421 which is when you lost sweet DISCO, i am so sorry, i am literally balling my eyes out right now and had to write this for my own feelings as well as yours, believe me when i tell you, i know how it feels, many times over, i am 62 and have lost so many. i knew i would get to this video eventually because obviously when i first started watching , you have CRUZE, and when i went back to the beginning , it was DISCO. i am sorry if this brings up any sadness, but i just wanted to express how much love i felt when i watched you and DISCO, for and from you both, the same way i feel the love with Cruze. your channel is awesome, i feel the genuine love, care and respect you have for everyone and your surroundings. i retire in 4 years and plan on getting into my van, if your still out there and the borders are opened back up by then (hopefully this covid crap will be eradicated ) i plan on visiting Canada (ive never been) because the places you show are so beautiful. maybe we will run across each other if your still vanning. again sorry if i brought up any sadness, but i had to express my feelings and love too. you gave DISCO the best life a doggie could have, traveling, playing, and being with his person all day, every day. ALL MY LOVE CHROME. safe travels.
That was one of the most well thought out Van conversation I’ve seen! Thank you Randy & Chrome!
Wow! I loved his van build. Chrome, I think you should keep putting videos like this, I sure would watch them. I think it’s pretty neat how everyone’s van is different, unique, and personalized to each person. You can even get some more useful tips as well. Great video Chrome! Much love to you and Cruz.
One of your best video really enjoy watching this guy
I used one of the Lunchbox ovens for a while in my 18 wheeler until I got my 2500 watt inverter. I made so many things in it. My husband still has one in the rig with him. I cook his meals for him and he uses his microwave for them now. He has used the Lunchbox just in case he has to be in a different truck for a while.
This is one of the best van builds I've ever seen!
This one heck of a Van....✌from Miami
I love seeing can tours because they show what is really important to each person. A van is such a small space there's no room for thing you don't need. It ends up showing the owners personality. This guy's van is masculine as well as cosy. It's really cool. I love that you can play with and adapt your van in a way you can't really do with a house. I'll bet my house there will be a version number 11!
you would be right.
Love the set up,, 10 years in same van Awesome,, Great Idea on shore power, im gonna do that next time, AUX heater gun safe..
What a layer back cool dude. He seems very happy about what hea doing.
Thanks for the tour of your home. I too am a carpenter with a van. I have a queen size bed in back on 1/2ply supported by 2x6 put across window height.this allows 5 gal buckets and double sliding compound saw and my small table saw to be slid in bottom 1/2inch ply over carpet.i use 40 quart Colman cooler.refectex in windows and clothes strewn about.i don't live in 30 degree weather! No tv. Use a tablet. I like my access to back between seats free.i poop in a 5 gallon bucket with wag bags and enzymes. I shower with 1 gal put in windshield for solar. What this guy has done is absolutely utilitarian, more like a sailboat. An awesome adaptation and living large with ice cream at night and hot coffee in the morning. Know yourself and your needs and desires before embarking on a project like this is my recommendation. The best conversion I've seen.
Pretty cool setup.. I'm glad you are get these van tours started... thanks for sharing.... Stay Weird Chrome and Cruz. ✌😁👍
Wow man. Dood looks super happy.! That’s all that matters
As a carpenter in my 60’s, this story makes me think. I got a van, I got an enclosed trailer, I got tools. The anchors in my life are a lawn /snow plowing business, a house and a cabin. The open road calls to me. I worked throughout the northeast on jobs sites before doing the lawn mowing thing, now I miss the always changing work sites. Van life will most likely remain a vacation activity for my wife and I, my old work van, a 1997 GMC high top has become a motel for us several times over the last 10 years. Once my old plow truck is retired and the winter plow business is over , the plan is to upgrade the van to a newer model and travel south during the winters. Your van is one of the best engineered Ive seen!!! As a carpenter all these years we used to laugh at engineers and architects because at the end of the day....it was a carpenter that made it all work!!!
Yes, I totally agree with you. I worked for a contractor many years ago and he always said there is one trade, and that is a carpenter, everything else is a sub trade. Hahaha
OMG This guy Randy is awesome! As well, he is very charismatic and entertaining. He has had 5 vans!?!?! Now this guy knows what he needs in his van! I love his layout as well!!! Going to check out his channel!
Thanks for sharing Chrome!!!
Stay safe
Vie 🇨🇦
Tenth renovation in 10 years, just supports what Chrome says, it’s always a work in progress. Outstanding!
Really nice job Chrome. It’s nice when you become a part of your van tours, it made for a real natural environment for him to share who he is and how much he loves being in his home.
I love the way Randy carries himself.
That is a genuinely lovable human being.
Just like you Chrome.
One love fellas!
You both are an inspiration, and soon I too hope to join the van life society in my 2002 nissan quest minivan weekend camper :)
Love that mans van 👍👍. Another great video. Have a great weekend
WOW, Amazing build Randy....Peace
Thank you . I am learning something new everyday for my plan of van living in the next few years. I really like the truckers stove. I have never seen such a stove
I loved his van layout. He seems really happy as well.
Nice nice nice rig. Love the older Chevys. Nice meeting you Randy!
Randy is a cool guy, you can tell. I did the same thing with audio jack extension of 6 feet it was perfect for when I needed to be quiet. I laughed when I saw it. He is definitely a like-minded individual I hope to meet someday.
I'm not one to ever worry about being stealthy, but it is nice having options.
@@stillrandy that is so true! ☺️ Sometimes I have to be stealthy cuz I am from east coast of the USA.
Double salute Randy thank you for sharing your beautiful home One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤️👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼🇹🇹.
This guys van build is AMAZING!!
Wow, awesome van. Looks like he is very comfortable in his home. Thanks Chrome
Just had to stop the vid and say I’m loving the tune you chose at 1:45. Now back to this craftsman’s van.
I built a new 2019 GMC with a Duramax and was going to just use plywood phuton, and the original rubber floor, ended up using all tongue and grove walls sunken lights 120 volt refrigerator wood flooring maxx fan have about $3,500 into it and was it a blast building it, hope to order a new van again this spring!! Sweet van great job!
Love the Winchester light.
Love Randy. Love his setup in the van. Very practical
Great can tour😃❤️ went over and subbed to Randy’s channel. This is awesome that so many that have building skills are turning them into being mobile. You can still enjoy doing your trade and being selective in the work you take on as you travel about the globe. Maybe more true craftsman will catch on and be out there to help others reach there dreams of a traveling home on wheels whether it’s for full time, part-time...etc. even those that are willing to help those that want the opportunity to learn skills and build along, Teaching classes in a set area, for a specific time. Moving around so that people in all areas can have an opportunity to catch a workshop as they come around. This sounds like a great idea😃👍🏼
YES! Will you do this? Sign me up!! 👍
Love Randy's van, and ingenuity to design comfort for him in his home on wheels...BRAVO to another good video....
Excellent build. Excellent video. I love that there is no Amazon links in the description. I wish I could see that in all of the videos that people make a project like this. Well done gentlemen.
Cool van Randy. Thanks for the van tour Randy.
Thanks for filming the van tour Chrome.
That dude has a nice build, Chrome.
This is a dream van the camo stole my heart
This rig... I like it almost (ALMOST) the way i like the Weirdomobile - which i say every time it's gorgeous!
I have one of those ovens. There wonderful. I live fulltime out of my minivan
Like how simple his van is, he's done an awesome job on it, I need to eventually invest in new seats in the front my van, like the swivel idea. I'm in the midst of redoing all my van insulation, gotten rid of the original fiberglass insulation, even found a few dead buggers in it as I was cleaning it out. I gotten the 3M Thinsulate 600L, for both insulation and sound deadening. So far, it's coming out better than it was before more than I thought I could get done too. I'm doing all this with no outside help, all in between times I'm caregiving for my elderly dad in the midst. I'm glad I finally started on my van's new insulation yesterday, the cleaning up and off the old glue and gunky stuff was more time consuming than anything else. If it wasn't, I might have already had this insulation redone and at least my flooring done by now too. My flooring, however, is next after I finish all the new needed insulation 😊 my dad got into the music you had in this video too... LOL 😊 be blessed and safe Chrome and Cruzzie, hugs to Cruzzie too.🤗💖
Out of all the vans I’ve seen this one is so me. Cool as all get out. Thanks for sharing
Love this! My kinda guy, old school survivor, has everything he needs!
Living Free just did a van tour of his friends van. I was blown away!!! Dude had an 8 inch wide shower! But it works. This Van has very good ideas!!! I am amazed at the creativity!
What a fun little camper. Could live in that year round. Well done. And Randy seems to be a jolly ol' fellow as well. Fun personality.
