“When we recorded Reincarnation Song for Dulcinea, we waited until late in the evening, had some drinks and played it completely live with all 4 of us in the same room. We Lit hundreds of those prayer candles, played it 5 times and couldn’t decide which was the best take. Take # 1 won out and made it on the album. When I was going through a huge box of 30 year old Toad cassette and dat tapes the other day, I came across this alternate take #5. I also edited together this lyric video with footage I shot out the tour bus window while driving through a huge lightning storm in Minnesota last year. " - Todd Nichols.

@@kentalanlee I was thinking more in terms of Nirvana’s appearance on MTV unplugged. Kurt’s voice was much more subdued than it was on the studio albums, but the that strain was still ever present.

there are several "Dulcinea" outtakes already available just in case you haven't heard them yet. "All Right" and "Hope" from the bands "In Light Syrup" compilation are both "Dulcinea" session recordings. and "Crazy Life" from the 1995 Empire Records soundtrack was also from the 93 Dulcinea sessions. they used the same recording and did a new mix and that's on "Coil"❤
@@taylorh4480 Thank you: I'd forgotten that the Empire Records release was the Dulcinea mix! I really hope that one day a demo version of "Only Silence" will surface. That's my favorite Dulcinea-era lost track that popped up via live show recording.

"Guitar left, guitar right" stereo. Pretty cool. More reverb on snare would've been cool. Great mix, guys.
this is an unmixed rough from the sessions. take 1 was used for the album and was the one that got mixed and mastered. they did 16 tracks for the final mixes. one song still remains unreleased. with "Hope", "All Right" and "Crazy Life" having been released, "Hope" on the UK version of "Dulcinea" and later on the "In Light Syrup" compilation along with "All Right" (which had been a BSide to "Fall Down") and "Crazy Life" on the 1995 "Empire Records" soundtrack.

@@tattoofthesunyes. but it was first released on the Empire Record soundtrack in 1995. recorded during the Dulcinea sessions. The version used on the soundtrack was the mix that Gavin McKillop did for "Dulcinea", they took the same 1993 recording and in 1996 overdubbed a new organ track and Glen record a new background vocal and then Tom Lord-Alge did a brand new mix and that is what ended up on "Coil"
