- This video shows how to update your unit with the latest system update. Process displayed is through a Wi-Fi Connection. Below are the fixes/enhancements (will differ by year).

Additions/Enhancements:
• Garmin Navigation app update to version 2.24.
Provides software updates to correct the following potential intermittent errors:
• Conceals Wi-Fi password after initial connection setting.
• System resets while driving.
• Apple CarPlay® disconnects while in use.
• Display Audio shows incorrect device name when paired to a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
• Information from the Display Audio appears blank on the meter display.
• Bluetooth® connected pop up message at Ignition ON.
• Brightness mode for the Display Audio and buttons syncing with lighting.
• HondaLink app reports incorrect vehicle information.
• System resets while in Reverse.
• Parking sensor displays Full view, when set to Split view.
For USB Updating:
Download the update
1. From the Home screen, select System Updates, then via USB.
2. Connect a flash drive to the USB port in the center pocket or console compartment*.
3. Once the system finishes copying to the flash drive, disconnect the drive and connect it to your computer.

Thanks for this! My 2019 sport wasn’t updating at first via WiFi (it kept saying my system was up to date). So I turned on the hotspot for my phone and connect it via usb cable ( center console) and waited a few minutes, tried again and I got the update!! Hope this helps someone!

MY. GUY. Thanks for this, I just got the 2018 model used and I was having so many connection problems and screen reset problems. I think the dealer factory reset my head unit and didn't re-update it afterwards because your video just solved a real annoyance.

Bro thanks! I used my hotspot on my phone and it worked. My girls 2018 keep losing iPhone when hard wired connection over and over and some other weired things.

Oh damn. Have you tried holding power button for 10 sec to power cycle? May need to try again.

Have you restarted the car? If still stuck, remove battery terminal for 10min. Then replace.

I Can't find the SYSTEM UPDATE app in my Standard Accord 2022

My 2019 Honda Accord does not have the System Update menu at all. How do I do this without it? It can connect to wifi, but there is nothing it can do with internet. No browser, no apps, nothing that uses internet. Even android auto is not showing most of the apps.
What trim level is your vehicle?
@@BoostedWhipz It doesn't have a proper trim. Its Thailand made version. Most of the features match with EXL.

I can't do it on my accord 2019. The screen says installing 100%, but goes nowhere. Been there a few days. My screen doesn't work now.
Remove negative battery terminal for 10-15min and put it back.

hello, i have2018 honda accord sport model and i updated mine along with updates to android auto. now i have lost google maps and waze accessibilty, it doesnt even show up on my honda screen anymore. when i try open them it says my device is not compatible. everything was good until i installed updates. am i missing a setting somewhere. can i roll back my updates on the honda head unit, maybe factory reset?

Unfortunately no. Must upgrade entire head unit to either aftermarket or higher trims from OEM.

Try removing battery terminal for a few minutes. Once connected everything will be reset. You will have to drive around to recalibrate everything.

Any idea if this will work with the stereo in a 2020 Honda Civic? Mine has an issue that every now and then the phone would disconnect from the stereo randomly. I would have to unplug and replug the phone for it to work and sometimes would have to try more than once. Its weird and like I said its random, so I can be driving and listening to a song and mid way through the song it just stops and the can't connect error comes up on the screen. Very annoying.

I tried to update mine this morning before seeing this did not know had to connect to WiFi and screen is now stuck on the installing screen it says 100% I am unable to do anything

The LX is non-touch. I believe this is just for the higher trims.

You probably have a bad fuse.
Make sure you are using appropriate connection cable. I used an non apple cable and it didn’t work. I went and bought an apple usb cable and it worked. Of course this is for apple phone.

If your update is stuck at 100%, take your car back to your dealership and it should automatically connect to their network and continue the update.

It does state that it may not apply to all trims....but the display is basically the same for the sport and touring.
