I’m so drawn to your garden. I love all the areas of your space because it’s a countryside woodland type garden but as strange as it sounds I think I’m drawn to your garden because my husband worked for 25 years of our marriage in a rock quarry as a welder. To see what a devastated, stripped area of land can become with some time, hard work and love is just amazing!! 💞
Thank you for your lovely comment. It’s the reaction like yours that keeps me motivated to continue. Most of the time progress is slow but if I look back three years we have come a long way, although sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. Thanks again for watching 😊
Can’t wait to see the beautiful garden progress , you have so much energy and such a vision . About an hour from me is a beautiful garden that was developed in a quarry called the Butchart Gardens in Victoria British Columbia Canada I hope you will check out . It was developed by Jenny Butchard, just a little inspiration for you .💐
Hello and yes I agree about Butchart gardens, I was lucky enough to visit the gardens about 15 years ago and they are stunning, I’ll have to look back at my photos for ideas. What an amazing part of the world you live in, incredibly beautiful you are very lucky 😊
I garden in the UK and hardiness zones are not something we have here. However from the info available online the majority of the UK appears to be between 8 to 9. The ground cover I think you are referring to is a combination of lesser celandine and ground elder found throughout British woodlands neither of which you would want in a cultivated garden border (weeds to me, although lesser celandine appears in February and disappears completely by June). Celandine is great for early bees so I don’t mind this, ground elder is a tough weed you wouldn’t want. Thanks for watching 😊
@@thequarrygardener5578 Thank you! I don't mind weed ground cover as long as it is beneficial to the overall diversity of the forest garden. Your gardens are beautiful!! Thank you for sharing. 🥰
Just amazing and beautiful!
Thank you very much for such a lovely comment, it’s very much appreciated 😊
