I could not agree more. John Hume is my greatest personal hero. John Hume is Ireland's Martin Luther King. God bless bless him and his family. His work and life's mission will live forever and his place in history is assured.
I disagreed with this decision at the time in terms of him winning Irelands greatest. I felt connolly was more deserving. But as time has gone by it was the right decision.
