I had a 1961 where I removed the bathtub and added a 4 gallon racing tank and orange fairing to make it a faux cafe racer. It was 1975. I manged to blow the original engine on the M5 and replaced it with a newer one without the distributor. Timing cover and twin carbs which boosted the power output nicely. I ended up giving that bike away when I left the UK in 1979....although I will always wonder what happened to it.

When I grew up in the 50s and 60s, these "Bathtubs", and other models, could be found in many cellars and barns here in Norway! I just wonder where they all ended up! On the filling I am afraid. Haven't seen one since then. Sad, because they are so damn cool!!
