As an old time Triumph dealership mechanic I want to point something out. All Triumph twins have a centrifugal filter that lives in the crank. As the crank spins it spins heavy particles out of the oil and they get trapped inside the crank. After a while, even if you change the oil religiously, this trap fills up and will cause oil not to flow to the rod bearings. All old Triumphs must be considered to have full cranks. In fact I have never pulled a Triumph engine apart and not found the crank to be compromised. Once you have cleaned the trap, a filter can be added to the return side of the oil pump and most of the problem will be eliminated.

Sadly, that's not a 67. The Ignition switch is in the wrong spot, the tank badges are wrong...but the biggest give away is the TLS front wheel. The tank paint is not a factory color either. While the TLS came to be in 68, Id guess 69 or 70 assuming its not a bitsa based on the tank badges.

$3500 for a 67 Bonneville. I'd take that deal any day of the week...assuming all it needs is a carb clean and a new battery. It's not the correct paint scheme or colors for 67, but it looks like someone did a nice job repainting it.

It's a lot of work finding the buyer who will pay top dollar. The time and energy it takes to list, arrange showings, negotiating each offer.... most of the time its just not worth it to squeeze another couple hundred bucks out of something.
The choice usually breaks down to take the cash now (with little to no effort on their part), or $0 knowing they won't act on it themselves.
