Beautiful repotting! Great advice about top watering in a pot with too much soil for roots. If you water until water runs out of bottom, often over short period of time root rot will develop because soil unable to dry fast enough for root oxygen. I have a baby moonlight and imperial green. The imperial green is growing so fast.
I Love mine too. I have had mine about 3 years from a wee plug . LOL Plant was about 3 inches tall. I also found she was super slow growing but has finally taken off this summer. Not as large as yours yet. Love that soft blue of her new pot.
I’m so glad you mentioned about the bottom leaves falling off. My McColly’s Finale has the older leaves looking tired but the rest is gorgeous. I thought something was wrong with it. I didn’t know they fell off eventually. Also, glad to see your leaves have little ripples in some of them. Mine is also looking like that. I thought they had all smooth leaves and thought something was wrong with them. I’m learning so much from your videos. Thanks.
I have a small Birkin. The bigger striped leaves are growing up higher and out. On the other side, the small green leaves haven't done much since I got it. It's like there are 2 separate plants in the pot. The pot is crowded. Is it time to repot and get more growth on the one side of the pot? Thanks. P. S. Did you see anything of that storm where you are? Take care.
No didn't have the bad storms here. We had rain and high winds was all and that was enough. Yes I would repot the berkins. Mine seems to grow fast and has made several babies . I was just thinking about making a video on that plant. It grows fast in high light . Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
@@tropicalplantmomma I have mine right under a light.. Tis the season to be cloudy... so I have to shuffle the plants around. The pot my Birkin is growing in, is so cute, but OK. Maybe the store has a bigger one in girly pink. Does cold kill flies which come out of soil? I put the bags outside in a dry place. I can't get any potting material without 'Joy to the (insect) World' coming with it. I am still looking for a Lemon Lime. Glad you didn't experience the storm so much in Ohio. Whew! Trees have to be standing, to put the string of lights on correctly. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I just use soil and perlite and fish fertilizer for food everytime she needs watered. I don't really know the ratios. I just mix until it looks right to me. Maybe half and half. Just want it to be well draining. And then I don't water again u til she is almost completely dry. Hope this helps a little. ✌️💕🌿

Yes mine was small to.. and they are slow to take off. Mine has just taken off well since I moved into a higher light. Ughh. 😄
@@tropicalplantmomma Yes mine is now in my Sun Porch east window. Some afternoon south light too.

Well that makes me very happy to know. The longer we have certain plants the more we learn about them for sure.. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

What type of soil preparation did you use? Can I know the ratios?
