    I only found out about Printful last week. The deciding factors for myself - I don't have to pay out for expensive printers and inks, plus earning some money as a passive income - someone else taking care of the manufacturing and shipping 🙂. Thanks for the video x

    Thanks for the video. Not sure where you live, but Printful has locations all over the world now. Just a thought... if your business life revolves around a partnership with Printful, have you thought of calling them and asking to visit one of their factories to see what is going on behind the scenes? I live in Charlotte, North Carolina and have had a tour of the Printful fulfillment warehouse for apparel but am looking forward to a tour of the second warehouse next door that prints everything else such as mugs, posters, etc... There is a non-disclosure agreement (NDL) that you must sign, and no photography is allowed for various legal reasons, but other than that I got a tour of the whole place. Not everyone would get access, but if you have a shop and you have years of partnership with them, I don't see why they would say no.

    Been using Printful from my Etsy shop for a few months. Also very happy with the company. One thing I'm needing some hand-holding on is how to use the Foreign shipping in Etsy. I'm offering free shipping in the US, but don't know how to sell to Europe.
    Do you have a video on this subject? Thanks.

    I enjoyed your take on Printful. Do you have any information on using Printful and Amazon as the selling platform? What would the process be like and are you having any success with Amazon? Thanks so much. I am learning so much from your video tutorials.

      Hi Diane. Yes I use Printful in my Amazon shop for both my USA and UK customers.
      I really like that Printful has both a European and American division so all my customers can expect about the same shipping times and don't have to worry about paying import fees (for example if I was shipping an order from the UK to America or the other way round).
      Atm I prefer to use the manual option with Printful and simply plug in each order I get on Amazon (which only takes me seconds) rather than use the full automation option they have (this is just purely personal preference).
      This is simply because I'm still just trying to discover whats right for me and just getting comfortable with Printful but they have been amazing to work with and I personally haven't had any difficulty using them.
      Eventually I would like to move over to the full automation option but right now I'm super happy using the manual method as it takes up so little time in the day and I like to see what orders i'm getting coming through.
      I also like Amazon as a platform. It's been a really valuable addition to my business and they have a good flow of organic traffic. Let me know if you're thinking about selling on Amazon lovely and how it goes? I would love to do some videos on this subject in the future if anyones interested :)
      I'm super excited to see how you find both Amazon and Printful if you decide to use either of them in the future :)
      I hope that helps a little lovely.
      Laura

    Thanks, Laura. I have used Amazon in the past to sell a few books merchant fulfilled. I see that most sales seem to come from FBA sellers. I don't see many sellers using print on demand that seem to be having any great degree of success based on the low amount of reviews. I do however see people selling print on demand through Amazon's FBA program with good results. I'm still researching this but right now it doesn't seem cost effective to buy mugs in bulk to sell on FBA. Thanks again.

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  6 років тому +2

      Of course it's entirely up to you which route you decide to go down lovely so you're right to definitely do your own independent homework when it comes to where you'd want to sell online. I personally have had lovely results from selling print on demand on Amazon but I must say it is hard to get reviewed on Amazon in general unless you are actively pushing for reviews or it's on a product such as a book or super expensive item whereby more customers are interested in leaving their feedback.
      Don't let that put you off from thinking that sellers don't do well on the platform though. I've personally sold many of my prints on Amazon and although people love to give me feedback on my Etsy shop they seldom review my products on Amazon even though I've had no complaints. I think it's just the nature of the two different platforms.
      Again it's super important you feel comfortable and confident on whichever platform you decide to try so you're definitely right to keep researching :)
      Amazon FBA could also be a great option aswell but I don't personally have much experience with it as it would personally be too time and cost intensive for me to pre-print all my art prints and store them in advance for customers. Again though this is entirely up to what you'd like to sell and how you'd like to lay out your shop.
      Good luck with your research lovely. You're definitely doing the right thing with researching as much as possible :)
      Laura

    Brilliant advice - thank you so much! I have just begun my own Printful journey. I ordered some samples of my art prints and they were beautiful so I am very grateful for your insights that gave me the push to move into print fulfilment. If I could ask you a question though? What do you do about metallic prints? Do you avoid making them or do you add metallic elements to your prints and add a disclaimer that lets the customer know it will be a muted gold or yellow - rather than a metallic foil effect?
    Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this.

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  4 роки тому +1

      Hi lovely. I don't personally offer physical metallic prints so i'm not sure how it would work but if you wanted to offer them then I would definitely recommend getting some samples from Printful for the metallic designs you want to use and seeing how they look.
      Then if you're happy with them it would definitely be worth letting your customers know in the listing description that the metallic will be printed and not an official metallic effect 😀💕
      I hope that helps lovely.

    I'm thinking about doing this, but what are all of your responsibilities as the seller, the profiteer when doing this? Do you have to pay anything to them for it to work? I was reading the FAQS to find answers, but they seem to be mixed with buyer and seller questions.

    • @Evaknowsoffice

      Hi lovely.
      When it comes to my Printful drop shipping process, I have to make sure that the overall cost of my art prints to my customers cover the cost of Printful creating the product and shipping it to them.
      Then you'll need to add your profit so that it's worth you creating that product in your Etsy shop and so you can grow your monthly income.
      Once you've set up your Printful account and created your products then everytime that you sell your products you just need to put through your order (if you choose to do it manually).
      Or you can set it up automatically and Printful will create and send out the drop ship product for you.
      You'll take the payment from your customer...
      Minus the cost of Printful manufacturing and shipping.
      And you're left with your profit!
      I hope that makes sense lovely.
      Evaknows
      xoxo

    Hi can I ask a question I’m a bit confused about the selling aspect of this company. If someone buys your product with a credit card does Printful take their cut from the buyer and the profit then goes to your bank account?. I did hear that printful charges your card and then returns the profit to your card..if that’s the case and you use auto selling then I would never know how much I’m left with each month.That doesn’t make sense to me as the third party should be the person that pays printful and you at the same time. I work full time so this to me is a sideline to make some money. Thank you as e-commerce is relatively new to me and a bit scary.

    Im considering creating custom shirts using printful, however i am hesitant as id like to sell on facebook by creating custom works and selling on demand by manually sending straight to the customer, is printful good with problems that may occur, say a print comes out weird or they dont have the right size? how would i deal with a fullfillment plan in that way that would keep everyone happy without effecting me too hard with investing while im still smaller?

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  6 років тому +1

      Hi Abbigail.
      I don't personally have experience with using printful to create T-shirts so I'm not quite sure exactly how it works with apparel but when it comes to my art prints I have had few problems using the platform.
      I like to manually enter my orders into Printful simply because I like to keep track of my sales and it takes me minutes to do but I haven't experienced any customers have an issue with one of my prints being printed strange or them running out of stock for my art prints so I can't guide you from personal experience on how to solve that problem.
      I will say that Printful does make it clear that if they're at fault for a faulty item or being out of stock that you will get a full refund or they will send out a new order to your customer as soon as possible and I find that as long as you're upfront and honest with your customer and explain the situation and either refund them or send them a new order out as soon as possible MOST customers will be understanding.
      I have made mistakes with orders in the past (my own fault not Printfuls) and my customers have been very understanding as long as i'm straight with them and rectify the problem by either replacing the item or giving them a refund.
      In general though Printful has been amazing and thankfully I don't make ordering mistakes often so as a small business I can handle a few mistakes that cost me a little here and there due to my own fault.
      I hope that helps lovely.
      Your T-Shirt business sounds like a great idea :)

I have the selection filled out for ship EU orders from the EU (and the US and MX) in the Printful settings. But when I see my live listing on Etsy, it says ships from the US with the high international shipping fee. Since I'm in the UK, shouldn't it be shipping from EU? Thanks :)

    When you do it manually,
    How does the customer find your printful page? Are your manual printful listings searchable on Google? Or are your printful listings linked to your personal Web site (rather than Etsy). Thanks Eva...I'm just about to try all of this.

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  5 років тому +8

      Hi lovely. The customer doesn't find your Printful page, you promote your physical prints on your normal retail platform e.g Etsy, Amazon, your personal website etc. Then you can either sync up your Printful account to automatically process the order when an order is placed in your shop or you can manually put through the order yourself depending on what you prefer :)
      I hope that helps a little lovely.

    I worry about printful being able to fulfill orders on time. Especially for Etsy where customers want their products fast

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  5 років тому +1

      Hi lovely. I use Printful for both my Etsy shop and my Amazon shops and i've never seen any issues with their timing 😀💕
      I personally find that Etsy customers are much more understanding of slightly longer shipping times as they understand their purchasing from an artisan platform and that each shop is just one or a few people sharing their products.
      I find that Amazon has a much faster turn around expectation with their audience as it's the platform of buy today... receive tomorrow lol.
      In my experience, just always ensure that you are clear and transparent about your shipping times with your audience and that you never underestimate how long it takes to deliver and your customers will be perfectly happy.
      I've never had a shipping time issue with either Etsy or Amazon using Printful but I would always suggest that you make sure you're being clear about your shipping times with your customers on both platforms 😀💕

      No i've personally never had a problem with quality or any scent to my art printables, i'm sorry to hear that you had a different experience with Printful. As I mention in the video, I use Printful to create my art printables and I haven't had a problem with shipping or their quality at all but I can't personally vouch for what it's like to ship their other products.
      If I was you I would email them and explain the problem you had with the products you ordered.
      In my experience they have gotten back to me super quickly whenever i've emailed them to enquire about something.
      It may of been a bad batch of products but you want to make 100% sure that the products you will be selling meet all of your standards so I totally think it's super important to make sure you won't have that issue again 😀
      I hope that helps some lovely and definitely keep me updated with your drop-shipping journey I would love to know what products you sell and how you resolve the issue you had with Printful 😀💕
