Thank you for your videos. I've watched a couple, and I want to start my POD with Etsy. I'm a little confused with the manufacturing part. Do I pay printify to use them as my manufacturer or does printify just automatically take their cut from the Etsy sale? Do I need any money upfront to start this business? Thank you for your help
Printify would ship out the order. They won't ship it until you pay your production cost. You can use the Etsy shop to promote or you can promote on your own site or social media.
thank you Hannah for all the information you gave us!!! I'm super new on this, how can I start, do you have a video with the information.... Do you think an mid 50 woman can start doing this? thanks a lot
Hey Hannah. You did a design video for the solar eclipse April 2024, I searched but couldn't find it. It was so awesome and super helpful (it was using Kittl) . Could you please let me know where I can watch it again. Thanks in advance.
I’m a beginner. What is the best thing to do, use the print shop T-shirts? If I do, their shirts are expensive. Or just go online, and have them print it?
I've been working with Printify for a long time but some products have a high shipping cost. So this is the reason why I wanna find another supplier with lower shipping costs. Can you suggest me?
I want to launch my shop soon bu my niche is booklovers and I have different products for booklovers. Is it better to just jump on the trends and make products for that trend? of just focus on one product?
Whichever option you choose will definitely work out! You can decide to jump on trends or build your own sustainable business and brand that will last long, providing you with passive income. With this, I hope you'll know what to go for.
Hi Hannah....outdoor activities / adventures is considered niche? Mean under this topic will be broad to hiking..camping...adventure in general.... Do we need to focus on one activities and build from there...for example just hiking...?
Hi Hannah! Your videos have inspired me so much! I started looking in to making an baby announcement with a custom name. However there were already tons of listings with this same idea. I know we're supposed to find what sells, but if everyone's doing the same thing, will my listings even show up? Thanks a bunch!
@@harriskassidy23 The ornament market is really saturated right now, don't you think? There are tons of suppliers out there like Printify and Printful, but their ornament selection isn't as wide as Chinese companies. On the other hand, Chinese companies often have issues with shipping or product quality.
@@rodger6869 Haha, it's true that the ornament market on Etsy is quite saturated. As for suppliers, I wouldn't choose companies from China or the ones you've mentioned. I use merchize. They offer a wide range of unique products made in Vietnam, not China. Their quality is excellent, and shipping time isn't a problem like with Chinese companies, haha.
So good! Thanks for sharing! This question is kind of unrelated but I was wondering if people use AI generated mock-ups or real people mock-ups or does it matter?
Real or organic mockups are more preferable. This has undergone some primary review and has been confirmed as satisfactory, making real mockups the best choice, especially for business branding and driving sales.
Thank you Hannah for your video. It's very useful. And I think someone we know will make a baby announcement, maybe? Don't know, just saying... Have a great day
Question... Do you create Etsy shops based on product type or niche? Like a clothing shop where niches change overtime Or eco friendly shop where products may change over time Or maybe i want to add wedding invitations but dont want to create an entire wedding shop because I'm not all in on weddings.... what shop do i add those invitations to? Last ... Do you have a video on sale samurai or have one you'd recommend
My general advice is to have exclusively POD items in one shop and then if you do something like invites or digital items keep that in a different shop. For me that just keeps things more manageable.
@@hannahebeling thank you. I probably shouldn't have said wedding invitations....mugs would have been a better example. But you still answered my question Do you have a video on using Samurai? Or one you'd recommend? I've gone through all your videos but not sure if I'm overlooking something
Hi I also want to try POD..do I need a specific niche on Etsy /printify when it comes on print on demand?
Thank you Hannah 🎉🎉 you always help and give great insights for pod ..can always rely on you and a few others in the game 😉😉 such a sincere soul 💗💗
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that.
GM. Really need this. Thank you and enjoy your day!

Great question! Printify charges you for their cost of the items first. Then, Etsy will pay you the full sale price later.
Have you started yet? If so then you will probably know there is start up costs - Canva, Everbee, mock-ups- way more than I realized

Some smaller, overseas suppliers might get better prices. However, you should be selective. Many of these suppliers look quite sketchy.
Which products are you selling? Since some suppliers will good at that and some good at this.
@@miadu1801 Currently, I want to focus on ugly sweaters. Base cost may not need to be too cheap but the shipping fee and quality must be really good.
Very informative, Thank YOU!!

Great video! Would you be willing to make a video on TikTok shop utilizing printify? There isn’t a lot of helpful info on UA-cam: everything is vague.
That’s a great idea!
Thanks you.Morocco.
