My oldest son had a rare disease and went to Heaven at 19. My middle son ( Marine specialist) came home under our flag. So this song really had me in tears first time I heard it. ❤
I am a Marine as well been out since 2012 and lost friends over there. I think about them everyday and lost my grandfather this year to caner. This song hits me too. Bless your brave kids.

This song makes me cry every time I hear it sending out hugs to all that needs them . Because sometime in your life we all need hugs for one reason or other
Lost my father, he was a Marine, who got cancer at 50 year's old. He h😅ad to have been scared but he didn't show it to us kids. He faced it head on and fought as hard as he he could but it was such an aggressive cancer that it took him in 3 months. I held his hand as he took his last breath and i felt his soul leave my body. We had a 21 gun salute at his funeral. Ain't no one alive that can tell me heaven doesn't exist. "One helluva amen" makes me cry every time I hear it. Much love and respect, Rick! Congratulations on 100K youre a real one!!! Sending love and prayers who's lost a loved one! My heart is with you all! ❤
Edit: i lost my brother and sister seven months apart and it's been a struggle to stay sober with the traumatic experiences I've lived through. They were 32 and 34 and died from an overdose and my brother took his life and I'm unfortunately the one who found him. My point like Rick says we're all going through things that no one knows about. Be kind, it doesn't cost you a thing!

You should listen to Beat You There by Will Dempsey. It helped get me get through the death of the son of my heart who was killed in a road rage. It’s been 2 and a half years and I am still dealing with the grief. But this song helped me begin to smile when I hear his name instead of cry. Sometimes I still cry but it is more healthy.

I want to thank you for your support of our veterans. I wanted to be a Marine with every thread of my soul. I was robbed of that by a disability and I will mourn that dream til the day I die. When the recruiter told me they couldn't take me, I said I know I can't run well or jump well or none of that, and I know what's going to happen to me over there, but I don't care, just put me front of somebody. As long as somebody else's mama don't hafta bury their baby. My way to fight with them is make sure they're never forgotten. Patriotic songs hit me hard. Independence Day is my Christmas. God bless every veteran that ever served. Please remember that the American flag does not fly by the wind, it is blown by the last breath of every serviceman and woman that has ever died defending her.
My Dad spent 23 years in the Navy, lost him in 2000, my mother passed away in 2005, a lttle over 5 years a Lady hit me head on, because she fell asleep, at the wheel, I truly believe, they were my guardian Angels, be cause the car wrapped around me, I have been told, I should have died, at current I am in a wheelchair , because of all my injuries

I lost my brother to prostate cancer seven months ago and I was touched at your tribute to his and others who have fought that fight. He's been my best friend since I became his pesky kid sister 64 years ago, and it's been like a hole in my heart that won't mend, sigh. I know I will in time because God loves me, and I know I'll see Gil again, because God has promised that ❤.

He went through so much pain on this Earth, but he never let it show. He he was my hero, as well as many lives he touched, I would love to meet and share stories.
