In the tech world, it becomes more difficult to come up with "big changes" as time goes by.

Similar to Android, Google releases new features a couple times a year through Google Play System update. The new version of Android comes out in the fall, but new features are released before the new version of Android comes out.

Thank God that we won't see those AI features inside 24H2!
I hope that Microsoft will offer the option to not install those AI features at setup.

Sorry but one big thing in 24H2 is that thay rebuild some part with Rust insted of C++. Nothing you will se in the interface, more to make stuff more secure when it comes to memory leak.

There are improvements for recent CPU architectures. Hefty improvements for AMD's Zen 5 and 4. They gotta keep something to surprise people after Apple reveals their M4 machines.

Some Start Menu changes are not coming with the original 24H2, but later. They are in insider preview builds but not in the release build

No not really with the exception of all the new A.I. Additions plus you can’t bypass secure boot anymore

I didn’t even think W10 to 11 was much of a change… mostly superficial IMO. Truthfully, the fact that there aren’t any big changes is why I’ll jump when it’s time to jump….

So when should a lowly Windows 10 user buy a new PC? When 11 came out, a PC World guy said wait a few months, let 11 bed down. Then a repair guy said, wait until Easter. Then it was wait until the next feature update comes out, and then there was talk of Windows 12 is coming in 2024, buy then and skip over 11.
Then a new CEO, 12 is canned and this 24H2 comes out, now you are saying more stuff in 2025 and end of support for 10 is October 2025.
So when should I buy and what should we look for so we don't end up with machines that Microsoft makes obsolete the following minth?
