Thats really neat how machines have so many different functions and how it makes them work. Thanks for showing that bud. Have a great day.

Thanks Paul. These next gen machines are very operator friendly. You can just about set every button and control the way you want it.

That’s good stuff man! The changeability and the comfort of a cat is one of my favorite things about them. These new ones can conform to just about whatever a feller wants. That’s a pretty sweet machine ya got there. Keep up the good work!

@@smithworx1091 not this advanced. You can change the speed/sensitivity of the boom and the tracks, separately. I should fool with it more and see what all the difference is. I just turned it up and ran away with it lol. But you can’t set the speed like you can in the 313.

That's a great video. I'm sure it will help someone that doesn't know how to setup their Cat excavator. You would think that Caterpillar would have videos on how to adjust their machines. The adjustability is definitely going to help you to be more productive. Now if it would stop raining so much you can get out there and start using it. Be Safe Out There Man!

@@smithworx1091 don't say that about the weather because the weather man is known to lie to use 😂 But I sure hope so. I don't do much anymore but I'm going to have to mow this grass. But I do enjoy watching others work just wish I could get out there and smell some dead dinosaurs coming out of the exhaust of an Ole Cat early in the morning. There's just something about that smell that makes a man feel alive.🤣💪🏻 Be Safe Out There Man. Oh and if you let Rookie on your equipment you might want to turn them back down. Great video! I had no idea you could do all that. Only control I have is the thumb and aux hydraulics. I would definitely like to change the thumb pressure against the bucket. I feel like the thumb pressure is way to high like you mentioned yours was.

Great video... I had a 305 and was not happy with it, then i just had delivered a 307.5, a lot more weight. Don't suppose you know if the 307.5 has all those settings? I can sure tell mine is running out of control. Thanks for taking the time to do this video

U could also destroy your automatic hydraulic regulator much quicker if u push the hydraulic pressure to a max high. Medium is always more efficient-reliable. This type of machine and the likes deal a lot with F = ma, and L= mv’2/2 momentum can be your friend and it can be your enemy. I always work with it than against it. Your 313 is fairly quiet.

You purchased the 313 excavator 10 months ago per your youtube video back shows, the hour meter shows 331 hours so 33 hours a month usage, how are you paying for this machine? It is not generating enough revenue to pay for itself; you must be hurting financially.

    • @smithworx1091

Bob. You're killing me, bro. If the machine wasn't making money, A. I would've already lost it or B. I would've sold it! What you don't understand or have failed to listen to is dirt work, and excation is not the only way I make money. If you can't pay for better equipment or handle your finances, then that's your problem.

@@smithworx1091 Is What you said; you are using your day job at the factory to make payments on the equipment. I deal with the same thing, contractors that have day jobs and have that money to cover expenses while contractors that are full time have to compete with the some time contractors. It results in low prices low revenue for full time contractors. Makes it hard to generate enough money to pay the business bills and take money out of the business to live on for full time contractors. The rule in dirt work is low bid gets the work. I've been doing this for only 34 years now. You do know that a bad business recession is right around the corner.

@LAKESIDEBOB1 that confirms you don't really watch enough videos or care to listen. I don't have a "day job" I have more than 1 side of my business. The side you don't see makes more money than dirt work. It has also been raining for the past 4 months. Dirt work is slow no matter if you're big contractors or small side hustles. I'm not gonna sit around and wait for it to dry up if I can go make more money with my "day job" I'm also not going to stop doing dirt work just because I'm not putting enough hours on my machines that you think I should. If you don't enjoy the content just unsubscribe. Or if you do enjoy it, which I hope you do, try not to be so negative and maybe offer some encouragement or something beneficial. Thanks bro.
