Just remember that the more times you have to handle the brush the more broken up it gets which means more small pieces to either have to round up to go to the burn pile or to get rid of at the end of the project. As you progress though you will learn how to gauge the amount of debris you have in a given area so you will go into a place with an idea where you want the pile, clean out that place and then work everything to the pile as you go. Speeds things up tremendously and you will also learn to use the trees to help you break that longer wood up rather than sawing. Sawing eats up alot of time even though it may not seem like it. Handling material multiple times and having to saw stuff up are your two biggest efficiency killers. Not to mention that chainsaw whoops my butt in June, July, and August here in Alabama. Love the videos though brother and keep it up! God bless
Beware of strange women walking through the woods. Beware of needy brother in laws. Nice to see you working out a system that works for you. I know you'll tune it up as you go.
Awesome work buddy, an burning it is the best way to get rid of the wood\brush, quick, efficient, nothing worth anything in there, longer videos are cool, been getting buckets an buckets of rain this year so far, storm after storm, thanks for sharing, stay safe, an i look forward to seeing the next video 🌲💪🇺🇲👌✊🤙
Great video Lindsey, I love the comment at the end 😂😂 I think maybe Rook probably likes it on his side lol. But I like the way you changed things up with the clearing method. It does seem to be more efficient.
Great Job Lindsey! Dropping those trees and cutting them like you are is working great. You're right about taking too much time worrying about the dirt that's why you have the Dozer. You're going to get more efficient as you do more jobs. You should start wearing your PPE chap's when cutting. Remember your out there by yourself if something happens it will be a while before someone gets there to help you. Rookie thinks you came with your sister in the marriage😂 Be Safe Out There Man!
Thanks, Jim. I need some of those pants like rook and Tim wear. Chaps are a lot of trouble getting on and off when I'm in and out of the excavator so much. But those dang pants are 300 to 400 a pair! It's cheaper than stitches, I guess lol
@@smithworx1091 yea and their cheaper than bleeding out. If I'd had the PPE that y'all have to I would have worn them. And I hope the weather man is lien again. But they only lie when they say it's not going to rain.😂
Man I’m thinking about a bigger saw. I have an echo 355t and an echo cs-490. I really like them but I need one I can run maybe a 24 inch bar or something. One that will eat through the big stuff. Not sure what to buy yet. These seem to run pretty good! Kewl video pal. Keep up the good work.
@Tim L. I could see it actually balancing the saw better. I just didn't think it could handle anything bigger. But I guess it could if it's a skip chain.
@Tim L. sound like you know your chains. I've tried a full chisel on that chainsaw I built. It would eat hard and fast but dang that saw was heavy. I'd like to try one on the 261.
Just a question I’m not hating just curious I cut 16 foot 6 inch logs for saw logs on about every lot I clear as long as they are big enough just wondering why you aren’t this is a genuine question I’m not a high and mighty type of guy my way is not the best way and I know it😂 ps: if you have any extra time I just started posting videos to UA-cam if you want to check them out. I love watching your videos keep up the good work
Thanks a lot buddy. I'll explain why I can't get rid of timber like this in the next video. But in a nutshell, it isn't worth anything in this area. Trust me, if I could make money off it, I would. Or at least help the landowner out. I'll check out your channel!

🤣 you got that right. I think next time on a job like this I'll try to burn multiple piles
Haha. Nice job buddy. The things you have to do for family.
Thanks bro. You can have him. I don't want him anymore 🤣
@@smithworx1091 haha. No thanks I have enough.
That’s a lot of chainsawing. In my younger days, no problem. Now? Them machines would be getting a work out lol. You’re doing fine bud.
Lol. It actually helps me feel better. Getting out and moving around helps a lot.
Definitely sounds like you get the short end of the brother in law stick...😂
I think I'd rather get beat with a stick! Lol
It’s nice to have the right equipment. Looking good.
Thanks brother. Just glad we got some sunshine

Thanks bro. I'm happy we got some decent weather for a change
Nice job. Thanks for the video!
Appreciate the support!
I think you should have a loggers come in and sell the pulpwood
I'll explain that in the next video
99% of loggers aren't going to move equipment to clear about 4-5 acres, especially for pulp wood pine. The loggers would loose money.
@@billhickman4826 thanks buddy
Thanks 😊

Thanks bro. Rook is lucky to have me lol. And yes, this way has been way more efficient
So what's the word on the lost hiker?
🤣 she comes back in the next video!

I love my 261. It's got a 20" you'll need a little bigger saw if you want to run a 24" though. Thanks a lot bro
@Tim L. that's a heck of a bar! Lol. You got to be a full grown man to swing that thing around 💪

What app did you use for land measure? That's awesome
I just used Google earth. A lot of people said that Onx app was good to use. I just haven't downloaded it yet.
Rookie always got you on some nonsense
That's your b-inlaw
