This aged well.
Really did for 1 person specifically ❤
"Do you want me to be here while you make your predictions?" Aryan is such a gentleman.
Why
@@randomdude1134it’s a joke
Oh? I'm a gentle man huh.
Gentleman*
That made different sense Haha
I definitely put this tierlist at the top of my tierlist tierlist
Great video, please have Dylan do a tier list of the candidates sorted by likelyhood of attending Steamworks while in town.
Gukesh is very dynamic. He always wants to win instead of draws. If he will be on tune it is very hard to beat gukesh, I think it is between gukesh vs fabi
You called it right!
JUST SOME INFO-Prag has been working with peter svidler since jan2023 and did well in worldcup,he is prags second in candidates also and is present in Canada with him
5:01 In what world is Pragg more volatile and Gukesh solid... It's absolutely the exact opposite😂.... Gm knowledge you guys 🙌🙌
what are you high on?
You are absolutely right Gukesh can be extremely volatile where as Pragg will be steady headed
Gukesh likes to take risks so either win or draw @@vigneshsubramanian9507
@@thepiyush909that’s literally what Ary stated later in the video…
@@NarrativeCMBSports @vigneshsubramanian9507 so did u guys watch the match today...
5:47 "im gonna make sure to not make that mistake" *proceedes to put last two candidates winner in mid tier*
Came back after the final result to see how close ….
Some surprises
Two people likely to win... now those are some odds!
when does it start ?
Aryan is bringing v necks back into fashion
I would say pragg is more solid than Gujesh he had a long streak of not losing.
Aryan not getting the sarcasm at the beginning 😂
Did Amar mix up between Pragg and Gukesh? 😂😂
Called Pragg the volatile one and Gukesh the solid one.
Pragg was on 50 classical game unbeaten streak untill recently. What? What?
Yeah i agree, I think Gukesh and Pragg should swap places
gukesh is better in classical
Well you see one way and I see the chess board way ,I think the one who opens into the deepest theory and plays off the first three rows in perfect continuation moves will win no matter what it looks like. It is something that's always been there since chess started and you do not need to be a grandmaster to know how things work ,you need to know nothing else but to see what your supposed to do,I'll say see, see❤😊
Funny how both of them have Indian names: Aman & Aryan
I wish you guys would do some commentary
The second list is perfect imo
Note down: all three indian in top 5..
Or an indian will win the tournament.....
@@just_alfaz wo watch the standings
@@just_alfaz being an Indian if you can't support atleast you can keep your opinions to yourself.
@@just_alfaz 🥳🥳🥳
Abasov watching this and be like: okay we'll see
I would swap Alireza and Nepo and Vidit and Pragg (from Aman's. Agree with the rest). Sometimes Vidit crumble while Pragg seems to shine under pressure. I think its 60/40 for Fabi and Hikaru to win
And Vidit beats Hikaru again for the second time in a row.
Intersecting Magnus' predictions with Aman's, Fabi is the next WC.
Totally agree with Aryan tier list
Yeah but I kinda feel bad for Gukesh and Vidit, BUT chess is not about emotions..
BTW I'm aryan too🤣
I was mid brushing my teeth when I heard Aman say, "...and if Hikaru does win, I can't wait to hear his interviews.." and spat my toothpaste all over my mirror 😂
I think Pragg should be higher and Nepo has slightly better chances than Hikaru IMO, but I overall agree with Aman here
Yeah I actually really like Pragg as a longshot bet from a gambling perspective. His best chess is S-tier and he showed it a lot in the last year or so, so he must have a shot
Pragg better than Hikaru. Fact ✔
@@Neodynium.the_permanent_magnet That's a bold claim. We'll see in the upcoming days!
I think all the criticism that Alireza took with his match schnanegans will put him into the mix. In the last few games, I think it's going to be Nepo and Alireza battling for the spot. Everyone thinks Fabi, but he's only won it once in what 4 or 5 attempts, and Hikaru hasn't even won the candidates. Nepo is my likely to win, and Alireza is right behind him. Something tells me he wants to be the youngest world champion and will show his elite level.
bro said Nepo or Alireza 💀
@@B-fq7ffbro do be high on smth
nepo or alireza? 😂Nepo makes sense, but alireza lol... Why does he fall outside your logic for why Fabi or Hikaru won't win other than "something tells me"
Well well well
Here after Vidit beats Hikaru
I think Hikaru knows how to draw and forgot how to win in top level chess, but I am rooting for him.
Aman i love your speedruns but could you please make an episode with no techno Music ? Pretty please with sugar on top
That aged like a fine Gertrudian milk
I agree with Tari. Basically everyone has the same relative perspective of what to expect for this candidates. However, I suspect that wont be the case.
Looking good Aman, the suit suits you 👌👌👌
In my opinion prag is strongest 3 of them 1.prag 2.Gukesh 3. Vidit
hikaru is in the poorly line
Nepo, Fabiano and Gukesh : favorites. Praggi is too serious, needs to find himself first (leave trainers and other people's expectations about him behind in order to give birth to the real Praggi).
Nakamura, the establishment player, isn't THAT talented nor passionate about it, a victory here would be a rather suspicious end result.
Alireza and Vidit have their chances, of course, Abi's gonna need some luck.
Great games so far, I wish all the players a great tournament & the best of luck!
Cheers
The disrespect to nepo 😢
The stream chat during this video had many cringy moments
I think Hikaru will have a Great start, and then he wiell fall back a little bit with one or 2 losses an draw the rest of the games, ending up 2nd or 3rd.
The reson I think Naka will do a great start is because I BELIEVE he won't feel the imense pressure everyone else is doing, imo, every other candidate has very strong motives to feel the pressure, including Fabi and Nepo.
By logic, Fabi is most likely to win. And as a more "emotional" guess i would put Alireza or Pragg, but they are very likely to not be even on top 4.
Prag is the new champ, mark my words
Hikaru glazing is everywhere I swear. The two at the top should be Fabi and Nepo. Don’t get me wrong, Hikaru is a super GM and an exceptionally strong player, but it seems like a lot of people specifically on UA-cam are overestimating his chances because:
1) He is a famous youtuber/content creator.
2) Some UA-camrs have directly interacted with him/have a personal relationship.
3) He is American.
I would have placed him in the ‘Will do well’ category max.
Big underestimation for Nepo. Him Fabi and Hikaru are the most skilled and experienced, so i have the 3 of them in the top likely to win. Personally i dont like Hikaru's character so Im rooting for Nepo and Fabi, good luck to both of them ! :)
Nepomniachtchi - won all candidates in which he participated.
fabiano is the strongest he was the closest out of all guys to defeat carlsen
Just feels like a lot of weird things are going on with him. Even with global politics aside (which is a factor), his meltdown vs Ding in the last Championship was insane to watch. In addition to his weird prearranged draw with Dubov that got both punished, his complaining of Magnus’s accommodations at tournaments felt very immature, his support of Kramnik’s unsubstantiated claims of cheating toward Hikaru was embarrassing. His mentality (major tournament meltdowns, excuses, whining, conspiratorial support) is just too questionable for me to think he’s going to do well this year. I think we’re beginning to see his decline.
@@NarrativeCMBSports good decline so far as he sits happily atop the standings
@@Matthew-bu7fg I’m taking a lot of L’s on my predictions right now haha
@@NarrativeCMBSports if it makes you feel better, all the "experts" went with Caruana/Nakamura and with 4 rounds left, neither are top let alone making it a 2 horse race so dont feel too bad 🤣
Fabi, Hikaru
Pragg, Alireza
Ian, Gukesh
Vidit
Abasov
Ian so low is insane
Solid prediction, I'll go with that one also
Agree
Prag is strongest 3 of them to be honest don’t underestimate prag
Look forward to your segment after the candidates with eggs on your faces.
@chessbrah - egg1 on face (Nakamura loses to Vidit)
The Russians in the comments are big mad 😂😂😂😂
Caruanitaaaaa ❤
You guys say pragg will be impressive and still put him in the "will do poorly" category? You guys are crazy
EDIT : Pragg is clear second after round 9 and he is going to prove all of you guys wrong
Don’t support these guys!
Fr he underestimated prag so much prag is strongest Indian candidate aryan tier list kind of make sense
hw will regret for placing pragg in the do poorly section.. Mark my words
My opinion:
Likely to Win: Caruana
Top Contender: Firouza, Pragg
Will do Well: Naka, Gukesh
Will do Poorly: Vidit, Ian
In for a Bad Time: Abasov
USA USA USA 😂
Gukesh win
First comment!
!plebs
First commenters are gay
nice vid, but still.. don't support these guys!
Here is my say:
Likely to win:, Hikaru, faby
Top contender: pragg
Will do well: vidit, nepo
Will do porly abasov, firouzja ( altho want him to win), gukesh)
A pathetic prediction and old school wish I was your book makers 🙈
You should wish for a higher elo. Someday you might crack 4 digits 🤡
My predictions that no one cares about - except maybe my girlfriend - and even then...
Nepo ~ Alireza ~ Pragg >> Fabi ~ Naka >> .... >> ... >> Abasov
I've been a Chessbrah fan for quite a few years now, but it's disappointing to see favoritism colour Aman and Aryan's judgement on who will likely win the candidates. How is it possible that Nepo is not a top contender along with Fabiano? Nepo has won the past two candidates, a feat that Caruana and Hikaru has never achieved. To think that Abasov and the Indian players belong at the bottom of the pack because of their lack of experience playing the candidates, and then at the same time to argue that Nepo, who has won two consecutive candidates, is less likely to win than Hikaru is, is simply double standards.
Hikaru, Fabi, and Nepo have all played candidates tournaments before, but Hikaru and Fabi have been the two best players in chess outside of Magnus for a while. You think winning in the past is very valuable (fair opinion), they didn't discuss that as a factor, so that's a different standard being used by Aman and Aryan compared to yourself, not a double standard being applied.
@@timcannon5384 I do agree that Fabi is the strongest player besides Magnus, but I disagree that Hikaru belongs on that same tier. Despite Fabiano's lack of consistency at the past two candidates, my biggest pet peeve is not with how Fabi is considered the favourite, but with how they just lump Hikaru into those top two tiers. Sure, Hikaru is number 3 on the FIDE rankings, but besides the rating there's no other argument to be made for Hikaru.
Based on these strange assessments and the cancellation of Russian players and culture the past few years, I think it's reasonable to make the case that this bias is indeed a double standard discriminating against Nepo simply because he is Russian. It seems quite plausible that Hikaru is getting the support because he plays under the U.S. flag.
How can you discuss experience at the Candidates without considering who's won the past two Candidates? You can not. There is nothing more important for experience at the Candidates than having won it.
People like Nepo, he has lots of fans and they put him as the 3rd favorite in the video. Hikaru is 2789 and has the major tournament victories recently that come along with that very high rating, but most people still have Nepo 2nd or 3rd favorite. You might not be aware, but the betting odds are very similar between Hikaru and Nepo. Probably because they like Hikarus recent performance better, but Nepo, as you said, has won these before.@@mrflamingo1004
are you fucking serious lmao, even Magnus put them the same way (Fabi > Hikaru > Nepo > Alireza > the Indians > Abasov), pretty much every expert is ranking them the same way, so if you want to argue the opposite elaborate instead of accusing every expert of being "double standard", because you're the real fringe take
They are GMs bro, how are you yapping in a situation where you are not competent? You are playing favoritism here, get your head out your ass
