Hopefully you learned a bit about flowerhorns. I know that I did! If you are new to my channel, or if you want to see the fish that I keep, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/X_qZ_wml99I/v-deo.html&feature=share&si=ELPmzJkDCLju2KnD5oyZMQ
It was a pleasure hanging out with you and Cory at the show zenzo can't wait for the next one! Also thank you for all you do for our community keep up the great work!
@kppriest we use cubes for grooming them. A 60 gallon cube would be fine for a little while but if your keeping it as a pet I would suggest a little larger and less cube, like a standard 75 should work well.
Got 2 flowerhorns a few months back for $10.00, they where super tiny at the time but he showed us the parents and told us no guarantees how they will grow, we never expected show quality anyways because they are just for us, but they are growing beautifully and atleast on the male the hump is growing nicely.
This fish is on my list after I finish school and get settled in a new career. This hobby is going to keep me busy the rest of my life 😂. Thank you for the video!
I absolutely love mine and he truly is a water pup. I care for him the same way I do for my Oscar’s except I do keep the water a little warmer like you would a discus 😊 great video and I did learn something new with this one. Didn’t know about the koy similarities
I seen two Oscarfish a guy Donated them to the fish store.!!! He said they were in A 125 gallon, they were every bit of 12” Plus… they were very Big..I love OscarFish.. the bigger the Aquarium” the bigger they get..😅
At 5:23 in the video when it shows the flower horn in the top left corner, there is something floating when I owned my flower horn and it passed away. I noticed the same thing floating in the tank is it’s just a common thing with flower horns or is that some kind of parasite it’s like a little white string floating around almost like a worm like ?????
Flowerhorns are one of my favorite fish, a true water puppy. Mine will come and run into my hand when I’m cleaning his tank until I rub his nuchal. They have a lot of similarities in care requirements to an Oscar with temps closer to 84-86*F being more optimal. They are not quite as resilient to illness as an Oscar either but much better personalities.
The guy says in the video that they should be in around a 75 gallon tank if you’re keeping them I’m just wondering also said that they’re in a 30 gallon tank at that moment is that only because they are at the show will they be putting the flower horn in a bigger tank when when thwy get back home or is that just the tank that it lives in throughout its life???
One main thing I learned about my flowerhorn was that he was like a "dog." A very mean one... Nonetheless, he knew who I was and reacted to me when I was nearby. & He clearly did not like anyone else lol. A ton of personality.
Flowerhorns have always had my heart, but I have a hard time wanting to keep a single fish in a tank. Maybe when my adventures with Starry Nights come to a close, I might be a bit more prepared.
I have a question, so I have a 55g tank and seeing people say it’s way too small for 1 singular male Flowerhorn, he’s been in it for around a year now, is 55 gallon okay? He seems fine in it.. I’m just scared because I cannot get another tank for him as we have no room..
Thank you for highlighting this interesting fish. Not gonna lie, I did not like them initially. The "kok" on their noggin was so odd to me. After seeing them more and watching their behavior, my opinion has changed. They are quirky and funny. They act a little like Oscar's when interacting with their owners. It's cute.
my uncle has a flowerhorn , its by itself in a plain glass tank (75) no substrate or tankmates , the head is absolutely huge and its almost 12in in length . he tells me anything else in the tank and its head shrinks and his could win competitions
It really depends on how the fish look bro. If you really like it and it looks way better than the 30-40 flowerhorn. You probably didn't get ripped off. Also if you get it from a famous groomer they might sell at a higher premium too.

I bought from you guys. Suppose to been male flowerhorn ended up being a female after research 🤦🏿♂️
Hey guys. Great info. Just want to make sure I heard you correctly. Is a 60 gallon cube going to alright for a solo pet?

@@MichiganTropicals Great. Thanks for quick reply. Where is the best place to follow and keep up with you guys?

Was awesome meeting you at Aquashella last weekend 😀
I didn't know about the tank size information. That's interesting. I sure love looking at these fish.
Love that he said a 60 gal and not 40 gal. Excellent video!

Thanks for the tips! Watched this before getting one
Glad to help, Amadeus 😜
I enjoy a planted aquarium so this fish wouldn’t work for me. Good to know before getting started. Thanks, Zenzo! Great subject to cover.
Zenzo! I just had a reminder on my phone for you to check your filters!! Lol. You told us to remind you in 6 months I think
Check out the video from a couple of weeks ago 😅

Just for the show or when they are in a store for sale.
Dope Video!! I want you to get one!

A ton of personality.
Hi, would a 180 liter aquarium be suitable for an adult flowerhorn?

I’m curious to know about keeping Bonsai Flowerhorn in regards to tank size -
They're so pretty
my uncle has a flowerhorn , its by itself in a plain glass tank (75) no substrate or tankmates , the head is absolutely huge and its almost 12in in length . he tells me anything else in the tank and its head shrinks and his could win competitions
I love flowerhorn
Thanks Zenzo. They're truly beautiful. I would probably do a female as I'm not sure of the Koke.
I remember when I was about 14 I saw my first flower horn didn’t know it would become this popular but I never bought it because I was into red Devils
Do you think it is the same with people, where you live a shorter lifespan when you push yourself hard?
Lovely
What tank are those fish on do u know?
Anyone know how to stop mine from fighting its reflection in the background? I've tried black, white, and no background
👍
Why are they so hard to keep?
5:00 can anyone tell me why fish do this with their mouths? It looks like they're yawning lol
ok, so what are the categories?
@@MichiganTropicals I loved the booth so much that I thought about keeping a flowerhorn. Informative video, thank you!
Thank you. I appreciate it. There's alot more info to flowerhorn keeping so I'll be doing a more extensive video on it soon.
❤❤❤
Cool fish but I would never own one due to the fact of they can’t be with other fish
I am very interested in information on raising a flowerhorn. However, this video is hard to follow with these guys talking over each other.
Thai salk flower horn partner
i kinda feel robbed i just paid $200 for a flower horn

Can I have your flowerhorn
Is it just me or they answered non of his questions? 😂
