Okay, if someone is 'disappointed' in the proposal and wants him to 'do it over', then he is in over his head and nothing he ever does will EVER be good enough.
My thoughts exactly. I can kind of understand the girlfriend being disappointed in the proposal (like if she genuinely didn’t want it in a holiday). But I don’t see why she felt the need to tell him and then the nerve to be all “you have to redo it.” If the proposal is more important than what it’s supposed to symbolize then I wouldn’t want to marry them
How awful. You share such a personal and intimate detail about yourself with someone (especially knowing it's been a point of insecurity in the past), putting your full trust in them, only to have that person use it to turn you into a huge joke behind your back. When I was a teenager/very young adult, saving myself for the right person was a big deal for me. Not because I was particularly religious or believed that young people should keep themselves "pure" or anything like that; it was just something that was very important to me personally. To know someone I loved used that information to turn me into a laughingstock would've shattered me. Imo, this is definitely worth leaving her over.
My hubby never formally proposed. He said nonchalantly on our second date, I'm going to marry you one day. 😂 Less than 10 months later we married and have been married 39 years. Sometimes people think you need a perfect proposal, the perfect wedding. I blame the Kardassians for unrealistic expectations. And my ring was 500 dollars and my dress about 500. Marriage is more than showing off.
Similar story 😊. We went on dates a few times and on our first date hubby told me I would be his wife and have his children, I laughed. 5 months after that he proposed in his living room. Went for premarital counselling together and married 6 months later. We had a great wedding but it’s not the wedding that matters, it’s the marriage. We’ve been married 31 years now with adult kids 😁
happy new year. Story 1:wow the gf is so cruel like he trusted her & then she proceeds to joke about her bf & be rude towards her bf. he should breakup with her. why do people care if your a virgin or not. it's your body & you decide when you're ready & the people who make fun of you need to grow up. story 2:i understand why he's upset but why didn't he choose a different day & i feel like he could have put in a bit more effort bc it seems like he was trying to rush the proposal. story 3:the bf is just being spiteful & immature like grow up. you could've gotten your own plate.
First story: OP's girlfriend and her friends sound like a clique of mean high school girls, rather than 20-somethings. Third story: This dude's a father? 💀 A 34-year-old man can't scoop food on his own plate?
girl in second story had so many expectations that she forgot what really is important to her, which should be him, and he was so in his feels, because of finally saving the money, that he rushed everything. rushing in itself is not bad, there is no rule for love, but it is weird to rush after not rushing 10 years ahaha.
First story: Buy her a one-way ticket to Dumpsville. Find someone who you can trust. Second story: Just wait. He thinks that he’s feeling unloved now, wait until after the marriage. In her defense, asking on Christmas Day was a poorly planned thing. Third story: She didn’t make a plate for him and serve him? Is she his mommy? Sounds like she doesn’t have one child, she has two.
To me, these are all guys who need to GET OVER THEMSELVES!!! Maybe I'm being insensitive, but these guys are lucky to have these women!!! The first: Dude, you walked into a GOLDMINE!!! How lucky could you be?!? Who cares what ANYONE says, you hit the jackpot!!! The second: This takes an adult conversation, not dropping a bomb. When I proposed to my now wife, without a ring, and asked her what kind she wanted, she looked me straight in the eye, and said flatly, "Don't. If I were ever to be robbed, that would be the first thing to go, and then we'll be out all that money." KEEPER!!! Last: A man baby, if ever there was one.
My dad always made up a plate for me and my mom. He was happy to serve us and eat with us. Plus he cooked and preferred no one came in the kitchen. When he died my mom started cooking. She serves both of us because I'm in a wheelchair now.
0:05: OP's GF can't keep secrets. If she keeps blabbing to her friends about things OP confided to her in, what else would she possibly blab about. OP's "trust is broken", and it would take her a long time to repair that. OP needs to decide if she's worth the trouble (she's not, IMO). 3:58: OP's GF had an idea of an ideal proposal, and OP fell short of that standard, despite advice against it from his family. If OP still loves his GF enough to want to marry her, then he better go to the ends of the earth to make it up to her. 6:10: OP's BF isn't taking into consideration that she spent the last two days cooking, and now he expects her to cook for him? If anything, he should have cooked for her and let her relax for a bit. How much did the BF contribute to getting ready for the holidays, anyway? This guy expects OP to be at his beck and call all the time. Under any circumstance, OP should consider kicking this man-child to the curb, but it's complicated with a kid in the picture.
Tbh I understand why the woman in story 2 was taken aback. She waited 10 years for him to propose, and he did something so impersonal, like proposing at home, on a holiday that's not special to either of them? Didn't he have enough time to plan something good - not perfect but good at least? Like her feeling empty makes more sense, this just comes across as though he purposefully didn't put any effort in for a decade so she'd be blown away when it finally happened, and he was the one left disappointed because she wasn't
Story 1: You don't share intimate stuff like that with anyone!! Op and his girlfriend talked about those things without judgment in a safe space between themselves. But by texting her friends that op is a virgin and joking with them about it, she broke that safe space between herself and op and was judging him, op may not feel insecure but it was still disrespectful, he won't be able to trust his girlfriend or any woman he's romantically involved with again. Story 2: I understand why he feels unloved, but honestly, he did this to himself. Op was warned not to propose on Christmas, but he did it anyway. It also seems that he never talked to his girlfriend about marriage, or how she would like to be proposed to, so of course, she was caught off guard. The girlfriend isn't innocent in this either. She seems shallow by saying, "You can make this up to me." Story 3: another shallow partner in a relationship. He's acting like a child in his 30s, he threw a hissy fit and was rude to his girlfriend because she didn't make him a plate during Christmas. I also bet he didn't even lift a finger to help his girlfriend serve the family, he just sat around waiting to eat. And sledding, girlfriend was exhausted after feeding probably 10+ people, she's obviously going to relax and enjoy herself. Bf needs to grow up.
y'all i really hope you had a much better start to the new year than me, seriously😭💛 tysm for still uploading. i genuinely needed good vibes and relaxation today. i feel more okay already. first story is so sad. i hate how people are so involved in people's sex lives, and on top of that, are buttholes who attack people's insecurities. like what the hell? i hate this for anyone who goes through it. and now i wonder if the other people she took it from were also treated like that...
Happy New Year, Ellen, Coco, and all your subscribers!!! Great advice all around, especially about the man in the last story. I believe that if he put in the effort to help her in the kitchen and raise their child together, the wife would be able to catch her breath and gain back her energy. She would be grateful that her partner helps shoulder the responsibilities, and her gratitude may even bring out a genuine smile. The best expression of love is to give of oneself and walk alongside your partner as a best friend.
What makes it even worse is when the person who hurt you accuses you of not being hurt. I had someone I thought was a friend accuse me of things I never did, and when I told her I was hurt she actually accused me of faking having hurt feelings. I guess in her world it wasn’t possible for someone to be hurt by someone close to them falsely accusing them of things. She also said she was ending our friendship, which had lasted a number of years, since I was expecting her “to apologize for being honest” despite the fact that her version of events was so far removed from reality it was scary. I guess she expected me to beg and plead and whimper and offer her whatever she wanted if she’d take it back, but instead I let the friendship go because I don’t need a so-called friend who makes untrue and malicious attacks on my character. Good luck on finding a replacement friend as good as I was.
I was an indifferent girlfriend. I had taken a magazine on a date. My mother told me she wouldn't date me because I was so mean to my boyfriend. Then I met my soul mate. I became the best girlfriend in the world. Maybe she just hasn't found her soul mate.
Happy new year Ellen, Coco and Kyutiefam!! Hope everyone is having a great 2025 so far!🥳🥳🥳 Anyways, these stories are messy-- The 1st gf is a major jerk and needs to learn how to keep her mouth shut and respect others. 2nd story, yikes. She's manipulating him and he needs to get out. Either way, if you feel empty when proposing, that's a sign you should leave. 3rd story, this guy sounds SO ANNOYING. So petty and needs to grow up.
Happy New Years my dear sweet friend!!! How are you doing? How are you feeling? I hope just wonderful!! In the very first story, the main protagonist should dump her immediately because she told your private secret to all of her friends and several others too. There isn't anything wrong with being a virgin and I appallad him for waiting until he met the right one, not to say that she's the right one though. There's not a single thing to love about her after what she did, and on top of it she feels no remorse or any sadness for her actions at all. The main protagonist wants to ccontinue to do it, but with the right one one though while she may see se* as just meaningless casual fun. In the second story, why exactly was she disappointed with his proposal because he proposed within their household. Why doesn't she propose to him then? I believe that she doesn't even want to be with him anymore. He basically just wasted ten years of his life with someone who is so ungrateful. Leave her right away. In the third story, she should break up with him right away because he is just way to controlling and demanding. She should take their baby and leave him and put him on child support. I love you!! Have a great day!! Stay safe beautiful!!
You are so young, so I can’t imagine that you remember “ Airport 78”. At the film’s climax, a young couple thought that would be their last moments. The young woman says to her sweetheart, that she wishes they could be married before then. The young man says:”We’ll get married now!” And, they exchange vows, just two of them(With the girl’s mother as a witness.). The plane lands safely; and I’m sure the young couple made their way to a justice of the peace as soon as they got their composure back. What I’m saying; is that the young woman in your story is wrong. If there’s love, you shouldn’t need all the extra frills. Like frosting; they’re nice but you still can have the cake. If frills are the required ingredients, then I wonder if someone has fallen in love with a dream; not the individual.
Hii Ellen I love the video and your outfit I hope that you and coco have had a wonderful day and that the both of yall stay healthy and safe also coco is adorable I love the both of yall 💜💜💜
If you are with someone for 10 YEARS and their initial response is that your proposal "happened to fast..." Then they guilt you into redoing it...They could care less sadly. Especially after you spent all that time and effort getting the ring in the first place.
I get why hes upset on the scond one but he also admited he ignored the advuve he was guven to not do it then and didnt take into account her prefernces. Why did he do that? She did react badly but he litteramy admited to noy considering her pov
