No, fat dampens blood sugar spikes. So fat heavy diet leads to less emotional instability. So people who avoid fat get mad sugar crashes which tend to make them binge eat. Therefore, whole milk is healthier.

This should not come as a surprise to those who know anything about nutritional research, and how that - through much of the 1970s, 80s and 90s - the conclusions drawn from nutritional research were based on flawed logic and methodology. This is especially true with the vilification of dietary fat. Whole fat foods, like full fat dairy, provide long term satiety. Hence, while per gram, fat has more calories than protein or carbohydrates, just a little of it can keep one fuller for longer, thus allowing for an overall reduction in frequency of meals and total calories. That is why people who drink full fat milk don't show an appreciable weight gain, in comparison to those who consume low fat milk. The low fat craze has lead to a population that is hungrier, which results in people eating highly refined carbohydrates, which jack up insulin, which causes them to get fatter and hungrier. Its a vicious cycle that only benefits the manufacturers of processed food.

Alright, vegans. You all need to stop getting triggered and just watch the damn video. I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE VEGAN, OKAY!? So can you please STOP TELLING US TO GO VEGAN!? IT'S REALLY ANNOYING. Thank you for your time.
The USDA is funded and even produced by food production companies (i.e. prefer more consumption and lower costs). Removing more fat lets them sell more cream. When fat is removed from milk, the lactose is digested more quickly, which can result in more symptoms.
You should be having at least three glasses of whole milk a day in my opinion. It bridges nicely between mealtimes and personally I feel much better after a refreshing glass of cow's milk than any sort of other milk. Nice to have after your workout routine too.
Whole milk is not full fat milk. Every milk processing plant skims some fat out of the milk during pasteurization and sells it as cream to make a higher profit. Whole milk is usually around 3-3.5% fat while milk straight from the cow is around 3.7-4% fat. This is why milk at fairs and large events taste better than store bought milk, there is not enough time to process that much milk so it is sold with the full fat amount making it taste better.
lots of people performing mental gymnastics in these comments advocating animal milk or plant milk. If you can't drink animal milk fine but don't go saying it's outright bad. I've drank full fat cow milk since i was a child and the only major health issues i've had were injuries because i was a super active kid... I also drink soy and almond milk now as well cow milk. they're all fine. Stop arguing over who has what enzymes in their gut and just enjoy what you enjoy.
Milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals (including humans who breastfeed) before they are able to digest other types of food. Early-lactation milk contains colostrum, which carries the mother's antibodies to its young and can reduce the risk of many diseases. It contains many other nutrients, including protein and lactose. As an agricultural product, milk is extracted from non-human mammals during or soon after pregnancy. Dairy farms produced about 730 million tonnes of milk in 2011, from 260 million dairy cows. India is the world's largest producer of milk, and is the leading exporter of skimmed milk powder, yet it exports few other milk products. The ever increasing rise in domestic demand for dairy products and a large demand-supply gap could lead to India being a net importer of dairy products in the future. The United States, India, China and Brazil are the world's largest exporters of milk and milk products. China and Russia were the world's largest importers of milk and milk products until 2016, when both countries became self-sufficient, contributing to a worldwide glut of milk. Throughout the world, more than six billion people consume milk and milk products. Over 750 million people live in dairy farming households.
With most meals actually. I heard that as people get older, they become more susceptible to lactose intolerance, UNLESS they continue to drink milk on a somewhat consistent basis. I'm almost thirty and I drink several glasses of whole milk per day, I love it. I'm also not at all overweight (I'm 6 feet and 145 pounds) and never have any digestive problems from drinking it.
but does the studies show a correlation between dairy fat itself and lower weight gain and diabetes, or is it that people who drink more milk, drink less soft drinks and eat less sugar? And those who drink full, have a lesser craving for more sweets and fats than people who drink skim, like we see with soda.
Simple answer: drink whichever you like. I only use whole milk with my protein shakes. I'm constantly in bulk mode so it's probably beneficial for me. Skim milk might be preferable if we're looking to lose weight, I guess.
I hate when they say "your body turns carbs into sugar", which is true, but it's true of all carbs, which includes many types of veggies. It also occurs with dairy products, because your body converts the lactose into glucose. It's not just pizza getting turned into sugar.
It's great to see a video about this, I knew about it, but trying to explain it to other people will be much easier if I can just link them to a video. Also: I tend to use rice milk in cereal and mashed potatoes.
alondra. Cows milk doesn’t have mucus, puss or blood. Cows milk is meant to be nourishment for the baby cow, so it wouldn’t have all of those harmful things for the baby cow.
Let's say it together. Correlation does not equal causation. Maybe obese people are more likely to drink skim milk because they're already obese and think it will help them lose weight. Similar studies have shown that sugary soft drink are healthier than low calorie beverages.
That last part about the study simply couldn't be true. If one drink 4 diet cokes a day, then maybe some sort of issue could arise, but replacing that with 4 regular cokes will cause waaay more damage to the body.
My parents get skim milk and I have been drinking it for most of my childhood but I prefer whole milk. Personally, it tastes better and I just like it and I’m drinking skim milk right now and it tastes like whole milk so if anyone knows about that feel free to comment.
I live in Wisconsin when I stop eating cheese drinking milk daily I started to lose weight easily. I would drink a half gallon of milk (whole milk typically) I'm probably eat about four cups worth of cheese a day.
My grandmother would tell me that kids should drink whole milk instead of skim milk, she said it was sugars and carbohydrates that make people fat and not fat back when I was a kid
Is there a correlation between people who buy natural products not caring about light products and people who are obese and using light products because they think these kinds of foods are healthier.
Happy to be scandinavien, no lactose intolerance here! Oh and by the way, only an idiot would eat or drink protein bars or drinks, after a workout, not as sexy, but just as effective, drink half a liter of skimmed milk, after a workout, will do the trick and cost a fraction of the protein produktes.
I was following until the end when they claimed soy milk almond milk are just as good. First off, those are not "milk" - they are beverages created from plant sources, that happen to be white-ish... and with additives like carrageenan, will taste "milky"... or "creamy" at least... but the two are quite different in terms of amino acid make-up -- just because each has "protein" does not mean they are equivalent. Not all proteins are made the same. Not to say cow milk is the best thing ever, as it's the milk of another mammal (probably goat milk is better, if you google a bit), but I'd choose regular milk (and yes, whole milk) over the other white beverages that are falsely labelled "milk", any day.
So many people are lactose intolerant because they simply drink too little of it. If you don't drink milk for years, why should your body bother to produce lactase to break down the lactose? That'd be a waste of materials. What happen then is what we see as lactose intolerance - but very few people are actually literally lactose intolerant. Just drink milk on a regular basis, start with small amounts and increase them, and in no-time, your body will produce more lactase and you'll be rid of your lactose "intolerance". I've also heard that ( and don't quote me on that, I can't remember the source ) consuming "low-fat"/"low-calorie" products makes us feel better about ourselves, so we feel like we're allowed to reward ourselves with more unhealthy foods afterwards, as well as less exercisig. I don't think low-fat products are making us fat, it's just that people who are overweight are more likely to consume them, because it feels like progress.
Kale If you knew anything about cancer, you would know that quite literally almost everything can cause cancer - your body itself causes cancer on a regular basis, like 200 times a day. Besides, smoking just once or standing next to a person smoking will cause so much radiation to enter your body, in return cause possible mutations, that you can drink all the milk and its effects will be quite non-existent. Humans have been drinking milk for millions of years, just not like 5 litres a day, and same goes for eveyrhing. It's about the amount, because literally everything can cause cancer if you consume too much of it.
Carbs -> Shows image of a fatty pizza. Carbs are hardly turned into fat. You use carbs as energy, and since you use the carbs as energy, the fats you consume don't burn and get stored. Cutting carbs? No, just load up on carbs and keep the fat intake below 15%. And just stay away from milk. It is for baby cows, not for humans. If you want milk, drink human milk, or better, soy/hemp/coconut/rice/almond milk.
Could the lower rates of obesity be because people only drink skim milk if they're already obese and trying to lose weight, though? Correlation =/= causation.

Can't get over how most people don't know the difference between saturated and unsaturated fats
The Broccoli Industry I'm not FREAKING TRIGGERED OKAY!? Ok, ok, I might be.
The USDA is funded and even produced by food production companies (i.e. prefer more consumption and lower costs).
Removing more fat lets them sell more cream.
When fat is removed from milk, the lactose is digested more quickly, which can result in more symptoms.
Have been drinking whole milk for over 20 years, have not felt any better. I always knew skim milk is not a better option.
You forgot to mention that milk in general is linked to higher mortality and more fequent bone fractures
LACTAID MILK!!! Everybody go out and try it. It's milk that tastes amazing and it doesn't have lactose so you won't be sharting everywhere.
im not sure about this ... my confines on how good this info you guys give in the channel is less then before :(
You should be having at least three glasses of whole milk a day in my opinion. It bridges nicely between mealtimes and personally I feel much better after a refreshing glass of cow's milk than any sort of other milk. Nice to have after your workout routine too.
ShintyShinto
I've already had my 2 today 😊
But what type of milk should I drink when I workout??
Whole milk is not full fat milk. Every milk processing plant skims some fat out of the milk during pasteurization and sells it as cream to make a higher profit. Whole milk is usually around 3-3.5% fat while milk straight from the cow is around 3.7-4% fat. This is why milk at fairs and large events taste better than store bought milk, there is not enough time to process that much milk so it is sold with the full fat amount making it taste better.
1:06 this girl is going to give me nightmares
Old peopel low fats high carbs =fat people. young people High protein high fats= fit people.
milk and dairy is so bad for you tbh and it tastes like shit lol
+stephanie santos Because you had a sex change you think you know this? Hardly.
w
NyteMunkey ?? is there a joke about milk containing hormones that i'm missing here or??
It tastes great shut your mouth
Uhohhotdog it really doesn't tho lol it tastes like snot
I mix skim and. Blue milk. Skim is like water
I usually pour my own urine in my cereal. It's sterile, and i like the taste.
Why ????pls share the secret too
lots of people performing mental gymnastics in these comments advocating animal milk or plant milk.
I have to drink whole milk to gain healthy weight
I eat fruits and veggies, chicken, brown rice, potatoes, water, milk lol
Lol the exact oppisite.
Anyone else get forced to drink a cup a milk every morning growing up?
yesssss, milk was apparently an essential macronutrient
So sick of hearing that dairy is good for you and carbs are bad....
Simple answer: drink whichever you like. I only use whole milk with my protein shakes. I'm constantly in bulk mode so it's probably beneficial for me. Skim milk might be preferable if we're looking to lose weight, I guess.
Soy milk ? Are you kidding????? 🤦🏼♀️
The USDA….they know
But wait.. aren't we all meant to stop drinking milk once we stopped growing as we don't need milk anymore...
Can't go a day without someone telling you something is bad for you
Cool, I'll do you one better and switch to half and half.
Cereal with half and half is the BEST.
True
Good data, bad conclusion, and even worse recommendation... Soy milk? Really?
I’m in Love with red milk 😋
You know what nvm I had to use the bath room every time lol
In the uk that means that you like skimmed milk
As a vegan, I love almond milk. it has 50% more calcium and vitamin E. and it tastes so much better than cow milk.
As an omnivore. I personally think cow milk taste better than almond milk. But whatever floats your goat
+Andrew Gil Cow's milk also has mucus, pus and blood. You're drinking fluids from an animal's insides. But whatever floats your boat!
alondra. Cows milk doesn’t have mucus, puss or blood. Cows milk is meant to be nourishment for the baby cow, so it wouldn’t have all of those harmful things for the baby cow.
@@lonniegabbie that's some delicious mucus and pus and blood then
low fat milk is just colored water,
so is whole milk, so is coca cola, so is piss... ok, maybe not that last thing.
at leas has 8 grams of protein
+Petek121 You're a special little snowflake arent you?
►Fretic◄ ... gross.
+Petek121
Probably, according to its horrible flavor.
I'm drinking whole milk while watching this
Get fat!
@@youranus7168 nice one
I usually drink 1% or 2% instead of whole which is 3.25%. Soy milk - blech! Almond milk is OK. But cow's milk is where it's at.
Very little information in the video just speculations which are the result of statistical correlation - where's the scientific evidence?
Frankly it wouldn't matter to me either way, whole milk is the only thing that goes in my coffee.
My parents get skim milk and
I have been drinking it for most of my childhood but I prefer whole milk. Personally, it tastes better and I just like it and I’m drinking skim milk right now and it tastes like whole milk so if anyone knows about that feel free to comment.
for a second there I thought it was Skyrim
big up whole milk gang
No.
@@youranus7168 Buzz off troll
I live in Wisconsin when I stop eating cheese drinking milk daily I started to lose weight easily. I would drink a half gallon of milk (whole milk typically) I'm probably eat about four cups worth of cheese a day.
Natural mother's milk is the best.
I'd take a glass of Lissette's though.
bad shit happens when she has hiv
My grandmother would tell me that kids should drink whole milk instead of skim milk, she said it was sugars and carbohydrates that make people fat and not fat back when I was a kid
But milk has sugar.
waters better for you!
Yep, milk is actually proven to be bad for you.
Milk contains all the macro and micro nutrients except for vitamin C which is lost by pasteurization.
What does being Scandinavian have to do with you being lactose intolerant?
@@apictureoffunction genetics
@@apictureoffunction europeans and indo-iranians are 9/10 times lactose tolerant.
Answer: Nut milks, like hemp and almond.
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Or deez nutz.
+Edwin Contreras "nut milk" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials If you don't drink whole milk youz a bitch.
And being a bitch is bad for your health
Soy milk taste like shit so does almond milk.
Hisssssss what about snake milk? hissssss praise lord leafy

Fuck off..

Yea drink more milk if u want cancer...
None unless you're a baby cow ! Plant based milks are so nutritious & delicious my fave is cashew milk 😍
Man that stuff is disgusting.
Skimmed milk sweetness is in a different level, i prefer the whole one
Lol then get fat!
Could the lower rates of obesity be because people only drink skim milk if they're already obese and trying to lose weight, though? Correlation =/= causation.
