Mannnn this is one of my favorite runs on DD. Brubaker is definitely CALLED to write crimes. The reading experience in this book kept me at the edge of my seat haha. The twist, the turns and that magnificent artwork. My gawddd haha. Awesome review bro. I love hearing your commentary on these books. It’s fresh every-time.
I share your enthusiasm 100%. When it comes to Daredevil, you most often hear about the work of Miller, Bendis, and more recently Zdarsky, but Brubaker is no slouch by any means, and his run definitely deserves to be discussed more! That gritty, “realistic” storytelling is something I vibe with so well.
P.S. Thanks for saying that about my commentary, it means a lot. I don’t think my style or editing is that special overall, but I enjoy sharing my commentary and opinions because I know that will be unique every time 🙂

Finished the first omnibus, ed brubaker as usual is great, first ever work i read from his is kill or be killed, was amazing, i wanted to ask does the second omnibus lead directly into shadowland because ive heard the event isnt good, i know there is a reprint but was thinking about skipping that and going into waid's run
Brubaker’s run leads directly into Shadowland. For what it’s worth, I completely skipped Shadowland and didn’t feel like I missed much

I hope marvel reprints vol 2 of bendis's run sooner than later i have vol 1 of brubakers run and im gonna get 2 when it drops
They really should just keep Bendis’ run constantly in print. It’s simply that good!
