I have a 2014 loaded Overland with the 5.7L Hemi. I bought it brand new in 2013and it now has 150,000km on it. I have had no real problems, and it still drives like a dream. Super smooth ride, loads of power (tows my 5,000lb trailer like it isn’t even there) and I love it as much today as the day I bought it. I have read about a few unhappy owners but I feel they got lemons and I hope their dealership remedied their issues, but for me I just wanted put out a real life experience that is true and positive. My next car will be another Jeep Grand Cherokee !
Keegan Hamilton Good to know, cause I just bought a new 2018 Jeep grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4 and family and friends are already telling me that I will regret it all my life!!!!!! 😔😔😔😔
Sergio Ayon my dad recently bought a 2018 Grand Cherokee V6 RWD, and being honest I really like it, it drives smooth and it's quick for a 5000lbs car (~7s 0-60mph in sport mode) plus the Grand Cherokee's retains its value pretty well man. You will be fine man
Sergio Ayon I just got an 18 Grand Cherokee laredo 4x4. Awesome car, no problems so far, and wish I had gotten the altitude pack as I'm thinking about it right now... They do hold their value very well and I don't regret getting it 🤘
Normally NOT a Mopar fan but I do like the Jeep. But you could put the Jeep in another car maker and I would never look at Mopar stuff. Had a 96 Jeep it was OK, used it up. This one a 2017 I just purchased yesterday with 35,000 + miles, (paid in full don't like auto payments), drove it 400 miles from there to my home. This V6 runs well for this big SUV. I followed my wife home she had this and I did notice the quick passing she did moving around traffic. Easily caught up with her though in my 05 GTO. Still I like this Jeep!
vented seats, but you have to get the luxury group two package which this vehicle has. I just bought the same exact car only 2018. Regular limited trim has heated seats only.
These Jeeps have serious transmission issues. Shifting is erratic, downshift are rough and bang into gear. I have had three software updates done on my 2015 and the transmission valve body was just replace, but the problems persist. Just be aware of this if you are considering purchasing one. My dealer told me he has had as many as 16 Grand Cherokees in his shop at the same time with transmission issues.
Robert Mocarski thanks for letting me know. I typically test these cars when they are brand new so I usually don't get to see what happens over time. Occasionally I will do like a special 100k mike review of a car. Good to know about the transmission - I do notice some occasional weird behavior with these 8-speeds but nothing overly concerning at least when they are new.
Robert Mocarski Wow, good to know bro. I just bought a new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4. So that means, that I will be regretting it all my life????
Sergio Ayon man I know Dodge Ram had that overheating transmission problem (and seems like they fixed it) on previous models and also on Jeep's Grand Cherokee from 2005-06 so idk about that on Grand Cherokee's now days, not even sure, since my jeep dealership is constantly selling Grand Cherokee's , even my father just bought one 2018 and it has a really good performance, no regrets so far. We will see... Grand Cherokee retains it value pretty well so at least you are not throwing away ur money.
Bryan Mario Yeah bro, I mean, mine barely has 120 miles on it. Brand new still, is just an amazing car, engine really smooth and with great power, even the 8 speed automatic transmission is great so far. Is just that I've never owned a FCA car and don't know how reliable they are until you have one. I've always owned Hondas and Toyotas, those cars are great and really reliable, but I wanted to try out this 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4, it looks so bad ass and it's just an amazing, fun, and also luxury SUV. But my friends and family are always making fun of me cause they say that they are trash and I'm throwing my money away. I always tell them, how they know if they have never owned one and specially the new ones. I think this new ones must be more well made then the old ones.........
b conover LOL thank you - I'm aware of that. They are halogen headlights. I was talking about the halos but since making this video a few months ago, I don't believe those are actual LEDs either, even though you can get LED halos in the higher trims.
The headlights on this Limited are not halogen, they are actually bi xenon they are trimmed in LED around the edge, also the fog lights and turn signals are LED. The upgraded lights are included in the luxury II package.
It should really be known that the seats in these suck. They are rock hard. When you test one make sure you test it for more than 20 minutes so you can really get a feel for them. There is no give, they are not plush. They are like sitting in a church pew. Thousands of complaints about how hard these seats are. THEY NEED TO ADDRESS THIS!! it is a really nice SUV that is ruined by the utterly terrible seats.
i just drove six hours from NY to New Hampshire and i didnt feel uncomfortable. It was actually a very good ride. Is it as soft as my old lexus? No did i expect to get plush lexus seats in a 4x4 off road suv ? No
@@krzysztofoleksij The seats in this are about on par with the GX460 and the 4 runner, they also suck. There is no depth. I am glad you enjoy the vehicle but there is hardly any foam under the leather. Maybe you are used to it but having owned vehicles with 8" of foam under the leather these are as hard as a church pew. Very common complaint. Stiff as heck.

I have a 2014 limited with 54k miles and havent had any issues at all!! I highly recommend it.
Is truly a beautiful car, I have the 2017 limited same color. It drives like a beast
I have a 2013 grand cherokee with 52,000 miles with no issues and i have a friend with a 2016 Grand cherokee limited with 55,000 miles with no issues

Zaid Well, hopefully it comes out to be a reliable car bro, cause it's a really nice and beautiful car!!!
I agree, I love black headliner. I have a 2018 Mercedes e300 with peanut butter leather, and a black headliner. That beige color looks dirty always.
That slip into neutral ironically stopped someone from car jacking me.
Stop yelling dude
What's with the camerawork?

Supercilious much?
Bro the gto is no slouch and this a mid size suv ofc ur going to catch up
Does this trim come with the cooled seats?
vented seats, but you have to get the luxury group two package which this vehicle has. I just bought the same exact car only 2018. Regular limited trim has heated seats only.
Cooled and heated front seats, heated steering, and heated rear seats
they really should get rid of the regular Cherokee line and only keep the grand cherokee
If they would offer a V6 in the Compass they could probably do without the Cherokee.

The transmission problem first surfaced around 3500 miles, and the jeep now has under 12,000 miles.

Mine with 25,000 miles sound like an old car i front suspension. Dealer said that is normal because the air suspension. I Can't wait to trade.
I love that quiet power sound; not a noisy V 8
Said no one ever...
these things are no slouch for their class.
I have a 19 grand Cherokee 3.6 6cyl that has sport and i brake torque it to 2k rpm and its significantly faster than this
Can you time it?
@@kevinopara8043 my 17 has pulled off a 6.9 I'll try to get a picture next time I get the timer

Can I drive with sport mode on at all times? Eco all the time? Explain pls.
There's a eco off mode but the car just defaults to eco every time and I belive you cam drive in sport all the time
Can you please get a real camera.
Lol if you watch my newer videos you will see that I did. This was when I was just getting started and I filmed everything with a GoPro.
Why do you block out your plates man?🤔
Doesn't feel big? Feels like a truck lol.
Never rest hand on any shifter!!!
Robert Little what??
I see why I'd be a concern but modern cars have measures against this

clarda1 Guess it depends on the individual & their definition of comfort.
Might just be u but these seats are quite comfortable
Horrible suv after 80k
Am at 84k in a rwd 2017 v6 and not issues other than a cable comming loose and a headlight replacement
