It is that versatile even if compared to the brand new Ally X, because the Legion Go is the only handheld PC that can transform into a tablet that can last upto 7 hours on a single charge.
@@iPadChannel I like the “GO” because I love my switch (and the form factor) but I miss windows (games) and games I play on PS5 but want to be able to play portable (Baldurs gate 3, FF7. R/RB for example, remote play doesn’t count 😒). So the Legion is perfect, especially with the joycons and kickstand 😁

Upgraded to the legion go. I have 0 regrets. The massive screen is a game changer and selling point. Speakers are good as well. Not sure if they did an update but they sound pretty loud and spacious. If you're on the fence. Let me be the one to tell you to pull the trigger on the purchase. You'll love the big screen. I actually love having windows
Ive watched a lot of Legion Go videos since the device hit the market and I must say that this is the most informative one Ive seen. You've mentioned pretty much all the important things that people should know (integer scaling, swapping start/select buttons, changing VRAM, hibernation, etc...). Great video!
i just got one last night! i spend my morning Setting it up and downloading me games. its a beast hand held thats for sure, more chunky than my steam deck. all in all i love em both
If you swipe up from the bottom and pull up the navigation bar, click on the magnifying lens to search the system for Realtek Audio app. Then in the app you can enable Omni surround sound and a list of preset audio options pull up as well as an equalizer to fine tune the presents. Not sure why it's not factory enabled, but it definitely helps with the audio
Great video. I replaced my iPad pro with the Legion Go, because this is so much better in many ways, especially that Legion Go has a full Windows 11 desktop OS. Unless Apple allows MacOS on their iPads, then Legion go is the better option, and its pointless having an iPad considering that the Legion Go is also cheaper, with better specs and fully compatible with almost all accessories available for a PC (including an eGPU).

Great Video..something a everyday, simple player point of view. Yes other channels give the tech blah blah stuff (up my ally) BUT also nice for a simple in’s and outs/real life use view. I play mainly MMO’s on my main PC so I have been lookign at somethign to use at work and more portable than a gaming laptop (been there done that and never again) SO we have the Handhelds now and the GO is right up my ally (wish they had a 32gb version..16gb with share vram just dosent cut it). I checked the Ally/X and the 7” was too small and for me it felt too small in my hand. Checked the GO and just knew it was for me.
I believe you can duo boot windows and bazzite(Linux distro similar to steam os). So if you want the steam deck experience on the legion go, you can get it, mostly.
Look, this thing looks cool as hell. But I've never considered a handheld PC. I am surprised at the amount of handheld PC makers right now Asus, steam, MSI, Lenovo for a device that I feel has a limited market. I think it is a cheap way for console players to get their feet wet in into pc exclusive titles. Kind of like those PC players who buy a Nintendo switch solely to play Pokemon. Yeah,i first discovered this. This seems like a great option if you want to get a gaming pc but cant really afford it (that what im getting,its worse for me as corrosion is an issue here and dehumidifiers are pricey,and why is the operating system so expensive?!?!?!). I have looked at a laptop in the same price range,and it seems to not run games at the same fps. So this seems better because its more portable,is even more corrosion resistant,i KNOW it will run my games very good,and i can still use my regular setup with it
I've had one of these since they came out and before it I had an Asus Ally. What makes handheld PC's great is they literally can be your only desktop/laptop/handheld gaming console all in one. I travel a lot for work, I have a killer gaming laptop thats a desktop replacement ( it's massive and has 2 power bricks) So not economical to take when traveling. I have 2 work laptops I have to carry for work already so having this takes up less space than another laptop. You can have a usb-c docking station at the house with 2 or 3 big monitors, unplug it throw it in a bag, get to the hotel pull out a travel bluetooth keyboard and mouse and you are back to gaming or surfing like you would on a desktop. Then when you have down time at work you can pull it back out and use it like a handheld but with all your files an applications you was using earlier at the hotel and house. My setup is as follows: Docking station at the house with 2 27" monitors, 8TB External HD / When I travel : I have a 16" portable monitor ($79 from Amazon) that is powered multiple ways and also has pass-through charging for the Legion GO. So I plug the Legion GO's power Adapter into the monitor and the monitor to the Legion GO, This powers the Monitor and keeps the Legion running at full power. Procon Folding keyboard and mouse. / Onsite at work : I use the portable monitor on my work laptop and if I have downtime I can pull out the Legion GO and do whatever using it like a hand held or tablet. This is something I had been wanting for 20+ years, I had been thinking about having this capability to have my "desktop" go every where with me and be usable without carrying a ton of stuff.
I actually play Marvel ultimate alliance 1 from 2007 modded and I have issues with my steam deck running Windows trying to boot the game when I detach it from the monitor 😭
I like the legion go alot better than ally because the size. And style. But asus ally x is better and portable. Alot smoother more fps and vrr. I just want legion 2 to be able to do 1440 120 fps when connected to power. If it can do that ill buy it
do people actually use it as a handheld ? i feel like this would make your arms hurt its the size of a skateboard, still a cool device to use in different ways but not sure about the handheld aspect
Depends on the game. The best thing to do is look on Reddit or the Steam store to try and figure out how well the games you're interested in run on handheld systems. Some games are just amazing in a handheld format. Ete is an example of a game that is really badly optimised for handhelds - I'm hoping they improve that over time.
Ah, that sounds messy. Yeah, Windows desktop mode is definitely easier to navigate than the Steam Deck's. But you also have to use it more which makes it a bit annoying at times. Agree that the Windows issues are a little over-hyped though.
Haven't tried it because I don't really like the modern FM games. I just want to play CM 00/01 and 01/02. That said, I did get into an FM Touch a couple of years ago.

I do want to play with a big database and full european, SA, and other leagues on playable which uses the detailed match engine instead of the quick-sim one that calculates results based on reputation. @@jordy786will do! You can at least run FM24 on Game Pass but I guess that depends on whether streaming makes sense for you. I can’t imagine myself streaming an FM game personally in case it cut out during a match.
It has to do with how computers are configured, they have standard images that are mass installed on devices, vs trying to tweak the images. It’s the biggest cost savings for the manufacturer.
No Man's Sky is probably the most demanding game I've played on it and runs fine as long as you use integer scaling. You might start hitting its limits if you try to run demanding games in the full qhd resolution or on an external monitor

Nope. 1600p is great on the desktop for media consumption and getting work done, it's like a mini laptop. Playing games you can halve the resolution to 800p and because it's exactly half you get a pin sharp display that's easy to drive for the APU. Best of both worlds.

Maybe one day you will be able to afford one, so stop hating because if I gift you a handheld right now, you would be on Reddit bragging about it.

You're asking too much for a portable buddy, try a laptop or a gaming rig but in a handheld you won't see that not in a few years from now

It’s horrible Lenova sends these with normal bloated windows images. Seems like they’d want it to run smoothly and avoid random windows popups.

I only have 1 question do u think that 16 gigs of ram is enough for todays games. Did you ever felt that 16 gigs is not enough
