The most common complaint I hear about this film is how dark it is. It's weird to think had they did better with that one thing alone , about half of the issues would then be resolved.
Great show y'all. This movie is all about Predator on Alien carnage which was lacking in the first. They had balls going with an hard R rating. I may be the very few but I love this movie.
Not only a shoutout but the funniest shoutout I've seen. A title text too. Well now I have to dust off Premier Pro. Thanks guys. The video hit me at the right time and I too feel a Requeef review brewing. I just go to much to say about it.
I’m a guy who’s always has close captions on for shows, movies and even video games and I still get a kick on how intense they made the subtitles for this movie with so much emphasis 😂 if you guys know, you know haha.
@@blabbercastI know for a fact they changed it up a little but I watched it on STARZ since it’s on there currently and it’s still the same dramatic detailing, nearly the same on the DVD or HBO or wherever it gets dropped on haha 🤣
Really hope y'all consider a Conan film retrospective series. Barbarian, Destroyer and throw Red Sonja in there for the hell of it. Just to hear Billy's take on James Earl Jones in a wig.
Yes! Everyone needs to make Conan content. Generate buzz so that they make King Conan. The "story for another time is Now". Before we feel like we are watching Elderly abuse like Indiana Jones and Picard. Tho Picard season 3 is awesome. I call it Space Die Hard with the cast of Cacoon.
I really like this movie, I wish the studio would do a remaster and fix the lighting bc that's really everyone's biggest criticism. Fix the lighting and give the movie a second life. It has a lot of good things about, namely the lack of plot armor of characters the most bad ass predator to grace the screen and furthering the lore
22:02 wrong Yutani has predator tech now(and we already know different groups have some awareness of their existence since the first predator) and Weyland discovered the pyramid so they have some knowledge of xenos and yautjas. So by the time the two companies combine in the future whenever that is they both have pieces of the puzzle that assist in leading to the first alien movie
I wanna know who thought it was a good idea put the oc with aliens and predators. I think the lighting guy saw this movie was shit so he tried to protect our eyes
#blabbercast @blabbercast It's funny watching that running joke throughout this video about not being able to see this movie... I saw this movie in the theaters and remember leaving thinking to myself "Wow, I CANT WAIT for this to come out on DVD so I can see this movie as it was MEANT to be seen lighting-wise." At first I genuinely thought the theater I watched this movie in either had a lighting problem with their projector (if that's even a fucking thing?!?) or maybe the lights IN the theater itself hadn't been dimmed properly during the showing I caught that day??? I just remember leaving and thinking to myself I can't believe that's the 3rd Alien film I've been old enough to catch in theaters (Resurrection, AVP, and then AVP Requiem) and for the THIRD TIME this franchise has let me down! - I TAKE THAT BACK! TWICE I've been legit let down, and a third time I COULDN'T FUCKIN SEE ENOUGH to even KNOW if I'd been let down or not! As soon as Blockbuster got this in for DVD rentals, I went over to the store, picked up a copy and was absolutely mortified to find that the lighting issue STILL hadn't been fixed. So much of this movie is completely forgettable and I really can't tell if it's because this movie has a shitty story to it, OR if it's because you l can't see 2/3rds of the film?! I've given up on trying to figure it out by rewatching it to see if I can come up with an answer to that question because every time I tell myself "ok, it CAN'T be as bad as I remember- I'll rewatch it just ONE more time and I'll just be a little more patient this time during the viewing".... NOPE! I won't even TRICK myself in thinking like that anymore and potentially talking myself into rewatching it because I KNOW, FOR SURE, WITHOUT A SHRED OF A DOUBT, this movie's lighting really IS that bad! I don't know how ANY COMPANY spent MULTIPLE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to add another chapter in the ALIENS and PREDATORS FRANCHISES and was allowed to send this out as their master edit. I mean, the Aliens franchise, the Predator franchise, they have MILLIONS OF FANS waiting for this, not to mention the 40 some odd MILLION DOLLARS it took to make this flick... you would think they had SOMEONE acting as quality control before this got pumped out into wide release??? But yea, you guys definitely AREN'T alone in saying you couldn't see a thing and that the movie was too dark. If you watch any other reviews of this flick on UA-cam, pretty much everyones in agreement (which again, just baffles me even more that this got past whatever or whoever acted as the finally say so on quality control because I know SOMEONE had to have seen this during the editing process and thought to themselves "man... I can't see a thing! Maybe we should increase the lighting??") Great job on the retrospective guys! Keep it up! "I've been staring at this for a fucking WEEK and I can't see a GOD DAMN THING!"
Appreciate that Trent! Such weird decisions on shutting this one. Guess they thought Dark was good here. It's been a long time, so who knows if they will ever hit this AVP stuff again and do it well. Couldn't see a god damn thing!!!! LOL
I feel you. This movie was a Nail in the coffin. After Aliens the other movie could be debated on fan issues and continuity. Some people like them and some don't. But this was the first that was completely incompetent. Then they teased what the fans of the Dark Horse wanted to see at the end. I got excited for a millisecond then I thought, "No body in their right mind is going to make a sequel to this" it would be the same as thinking a dog turd was an ATM and you just keep sticking your chipcard in it.... you tried punching in your pin number on the Kibble shaped buttons but money is never going to spit out of the darn thing. A lot of my favorite things died that day I left the theater. But, I did learn for the fist time what a disgruntled veteran feels like.
My favorite part of this movie is when the woman says the government doesn't lie to people. I laughed so hard
same!!
And this was even before Hollywood became the full blown media piece of The State!
Lol
Everyone in my theater died laughing at that
lol Watergate lol
Whoop Whoop! Y'all are Krazy! Loving all these retrospectives! 😂😂😂
Thanks, Big Chuck! Appreciate your time to check them out!
Thanks man!
You guys do the best job on these. I learn so much🧑🏫💯🤣
The most common complaint I hear about this film is how dark it is. It's weird to think had they did better with that one thing alone , about half of the issues would then be resolved.
I'm ashamed to say,but this one is my "guilty pleasure"...
Wolf was cool, had some nice gadgets...
I can see that. Wolf did have a renegade cool factor about him.
Shouldn't feel guilty about it

I can see why you liked it, it did have cool parts. Appreciate the view!

Dust if off, and let us know when that is up! Looking forward to it.

I need to click those on now. I am curious

YEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!

Gritz!! You son of a bitch!! (Exploding Handshake) We may get to that.
Lol

I remember being in the theater thinking there was something wrong with the projector.
Can't see a DAMN THING!!!!
King Alien...ehhh....*snorts* Epic!

There were a lot of elements I did like. Wolf is certainly cool.
22:02 wrong

Thanks for pointing that out.
I wanna know who thought it was a good idea put the oc with aliens and predators. I think the lighting guy saw this movie was shit so he tried to protect our eyes
😂
On a serious note though there was a deleted scene where predalien was going to skin the predators on that ship which would have been cool
I saw this opening day. But it was a poorly written movie , I just liked it because was bloody that's about it
Hey Willis!! Yeah, it had its moments I did enjoy. When I could see them. lol
start selling the goo like butters in southpark lmao cheap price & it's homemade.
LMFAO!
Lmao!!
OMG. See, I thought the blue goo was used to remind the people where the movie screen was. It was a safety concern. The goo was the lawyers demand.
You guise should do Event Horizon!
It's on the list for later this year. Love that one.
@@blabbercast I listen too all your episodes
