Nice! I’ve got a Classic Player HH which is very similar. I’ve modded it a bit to perfect it. The big mod I’d recommend is switching the pickup selector out for a Kurt Cobain Jaguar one if you find your catching the switches whilst strumming. I also swapped the pickups out for Lace Sensors Dually Pickups as I’m a huge Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead fan. I found the sweet spot on the bridge was achieved by rolling the coil split switch just under halfway, when I lined up a screw hole in the roller up with the top of the chrome if that makes sense? It’s a beastly grunge machine. Have fun!
Hey mates, make those guitars your own, I own a classic player hh from 2015 and never modded it, it works perfectly for me, I am used to switch it as is. As much as I love Kurt Cobain, I love my guitar as is, I don't think I would want to buy his custom Jaguar, but I do own his jag-stang model and I modded it because the stock pickups were pretty bad. The reason I don't want the Kurt Jaguar is it is kind of a reduced version of the Jaguar you guys are holding, which defeats a bit the purpose of a jaguar. A jaguar for me is guitar heaven of versatility and an amazing studio ally and frankly live too. Quite a swiss knife as such.
Cool guitar, one thing I would mod is the kill switch. It could be rewired to engage/disengage the coil splits. Haven't checked out any diagrams but I'd say it's not that complicated.
Excellent guitar. I have the exact same one…and have no problem recommending that people grab one before they’re gone. From surf to punk, the tones are in there. I also picked up the “vintage” version the same day. Another keeper. Obviously a bit different sounding, but love ‘em both. I have to agree with the coil splits…not something I’d probably do on the fly. I may just swap those out for switches at some point, but for now…I’ll just spin ‘em. Same with the kill switch. I may change that to a toggle or an arcade button. Need to see just how much abuse the switch can handle first.

I’m kinda torn between this and the strat, I have a tele. The guitar seems to be heavy which is a down side for me. How does it compare in weight to the strat?
Depends on the wood, but generally these will be heavier
If you’re looking for a light strat in that price range I’d go for the JV Modified 60’s strat, basswood body, it’s super light and has the most comfortable neck I’ve ever felt, a thick soft v with a full satin finish, one of my favorite guitars I’ve ever owned
I managed to never watch DJ Khaled massacre that guitar until you just thrust it upon me.
Looks huge... how much does it weight??
Was very heavy, around 9 pounds, which is why I did eventually sell it😅
@@thekipinator7660 Thanks, good to know, i will chose Fender Vintera 70S telecaster Deluxe then ;)
SPEEEEEAKING VIRTUALLY AN CONSTANTLY WAITING
Lovely color and sound! I wish they made one's without that roundish metal part tho.
Sweet guitar
When you first played the guitar we’re you playing GRSA by Wallows?!?? I love Wallows😭😭
Yes! I got to see them twice in 2022, in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles in California, and that was the highlight of each night!
@@thekipinator7660Aw that’s so cool!! I saw them at the Greek they in La this year they are great 🙏
@@crispycream1845 I was at the Greek too! How close did you get? I was probably perfectly in the middle
@@thekipinator7660 I was like in the middle but at left side were you go up, but I still had a great view!!
@@crispycream1845 great crowd that entire night, everyone was standing and singing along and no one was being obnoxious from what I saw, amazing experience
Couldn't hear the bass in the band setting - which means the setup was perfect, 10/10
Hey man, Love your guitar. Mind if I ask you which cable you using?

Aqui no Brasil a Giannini era a marca que fabricava guitarras excelentes como essa em 70's ! Giannini Stratosonic ou Supersônic!
The daggo should go ez on the bananas tho. Not shure whether dags are built for that. And that's not to say that he should stop altogether, for he's very cute and - as bananas stimulate chemoreceptors to release serotonin - a happy, good boy.
Thanks for not trying to be a super-guitarist while reviewing a guitar.
btw Do you look like Shuggie Otis a bit? Peace yo!
I guess I do!
Mate: it wouldn’t be all that difficult for you-or a tech-to exchange those coil-split wheels for switches. As I’m strictly a studio musician, I think they’re dead mint; however, as a former touring musician, I can absolutely dig why you would rather they be toggles. Just something to think about.
What song is this 9:24 ?
Go with the flow by queens of the stone age
@@thekipinator7660Thanks! Also great video
I like everything about these except the vibrato location. Other than that i love it
