"Not everything is about money" "Right, because my rent and bills will pay themselves..and in case you hadnt figured it out yet, if I didnt need money I wouldnt be here" DERP.
"It's not about money?" Really????? Every animated video I see has Veronica being asked/nudged to do more, without the financial compensation for doing so!!!!!! For Example, in one episode: I consider learning another language "ContinuingEducation"......and the cost thereof, that V. paid out of pocket, but her company doesn't have the funds to compensate her for that next level ability when called upon outside of her ascribed 40 hour week!???? Companies lose great people when said people aren't treated/compensated well. These vids bring up great points! Veronica is my Shero!!!!!!
I have met expectations and went beyond; and what did i get? An abusive manager with no extra benefits but with continuous harrassment and being lead down to the point i chose to quit
I’m sorry this happened to you! No one deserves such treatment but as long as they hire the human equivalent of garbage in supervisory positions this is going to continue. I’m more apt to actually stay with a company, even if it’s not the best job, if the supervisor is top notch! Happened with my last employer and I stayed for 3 years, I eventually became a team lead or a supervisor myself due to this young man’s recommendations. I know how to handle people as well as stay professional. I’m ALWAYS for the workers and worker rights because that’s who actually does the job and keeps businesses physically running. Companies that cannot keep good workers are going to have a hard time staying in business, expanding, and moving forwards!
I want you to want more?! Most people don’t even want the job that they have! So no, no one wants more work for the same pay or more responsibility for no additional compensation. A job telling me there are opportunities for growth when they hire me on for crap wages tells me that they’re gaslighting me already. The more that you want from me is=your highest paid workers and CEO want more money, more vacation time, and more of a better life compared to my meager existence!
"Not everything's about money" Um... where my JOB is concerned... yes it is. Sorry but we wouldnt be interacting at all if you weren't paying me at least SOMETHING.
Hey Veronica, I would like to let you know that our expectations have gone up, and you're now underperforming. If things don't improve, we'll have to reduce your pay.
@@Sonnabend00 - Not retroactively :) We're not clawing back what we've already paid you. We're cutting pay from here on out. Oh, and here's a two weeks notice and the new employment offer. I'm sure the only one getting a benefit at this point would be lawyer's, but this is how I think things would play out.

Of course managers want you to do more. They don't want the "more" to be left for them because they want to be left alone and do as little as possible with the highest possible payment.

"I can indeed, as soon as you pay me more"

Okay, I'll take my skills and get a 10-15% raise by working for your competitor. Okay, bye.
Hiya, thats illegal. You cannot legally retroactively cut my pay, shall I call the Dept of Labor now or would you like them to call you?

If I want more, I would’ve move up the rank of my profession. 😂
You want more? Pay more.
This is accurate. What is behind this?
