I live in the most cold place on earth (Yakutsk, Russian Federation, north-eastern region) and I have 2012 Turbo diesel LC 200. And guess what. This truck works here in a 30-degree heat and -50 degrees Siberian cold. Also starts without any problems in temperatures up to -20. A beautiful truck, which has been rolling in for 6 years, where it is difficult to reach even on foot. Hello from the republic of Sakha by the way, here we can compete with Australia in the number of land cruisers.
How are your injectors holding up? Russian diesels seems to be of very low quality. I'd guess the ultra high pressure D4D fuel pump and injectors don'tl like that. Cheers
This land cruiser is just unbelievable. Money spent well on good parts. I love the beefy tires on stock wheels, just so classy looking. My grandma has 2010 LX570 with under 20k miles that I really hope I inherit .
My 2000 LC100 gave me 12 yrs of flawless 120k miles - sold it in 2012 for $20k (40% of the $50k I paid the dealer to drive it off the showroom floor). Have since owned Range Rovers, G-Wagons and Escalades and can not wait to get back to a new LC. Thanks for sharing this video
Very nice, I'm also building a 200 for some overland trips. Coming from a built 80 series I drove for 10 years the 200 feels right at home and really enjoying it.
what a boss for taking out a 2016 like that. i bet that thing gets more off road in a year than the next 100 off the line in their lifetime. around here we get them used off soccer moms.
According to Toyota, the Land Cruiser is the most off road used vehicle in their line, by ratio. Love ours and it has been just amazing, the best part is how it is so comfortable for on the highway. It is no slouch off road, but how it handles gravel/windy roads is just perfection.
Yea I casually off-road mine for overland and it’s fantastic. I haven’t had to do many upgrades either. It’s a beast and comfortable on long trips with the whole family. It’s no rock crawler, but that’s not what this vehicle is made for...
Grey Market just got a mint 2014 with 55k from a soccer mom. Best used car deal on the market. The fact that people pay that for a 4Runner or Jeep Cherokee blows me mind!
Fantastic 200 Gene. Hoping to pick up a 19 this spring. How has the truck been treating you any quirks or advice for a new land cruiser owner? Thanks and enjoy in good health 👍🏻
Im in Australia and have a 2013 LC 200, my entire youtube channel is about my LC 200 and what ive done to it and places ive taken it, Thanks for sharing your video of it
Hey, who did the suspension upgrade and snorkle install. Are you pleased with their work? I have a 2009 LC200 and live close to Flordia. Have you considered lockers or does it perform perfectly fine with atrac?
tightlinesgl47 per BFG website, they do not make that size. Closest is a 285 /65 r18 or 285 /70 r17 A 285/75r18 is right under a 35" tall tire, which he doesn't appear to have.
The amount of junk people put their dash now days...hand held radios, paper maps. And then there’s roof top tents....Pitch a tent, it wont try to kill you when you have to pee in the middle of the night, it costs 1/3 and weights 1/10...and now you get your roof back to be used for storage of non essentials (gas cans, hi-lift, maxTrax etc) It all works as well or better or/and faster. Fridge and drawers are a most of multitud day, but all that other junk?
The guy must be loaded. Spent $85k on a truck and probably spent another $20k to have all of his gear installed by someone. Then he goes on a long vacation. Good for you

yep! Not surprised its a land cruiser. Take a land rover there and it won't start. Land cruiser seems to NEVER quit.
That guy is cool. He’s so positive and peaceful. Nice video. He was sending it up that hill.

Spoken like a wiseman.
How would you compare the G wagon to LC?
I think Gene is gonna have tons of fun with that rig. Very nice
He sure is!

Evan Ferguson Did you pay $40K?
Fantastic looking cruiser. I live in Florida also and was wondering who built your land cruiser?

Awesome! Thanks for watching and letting us know about your channel.
That is a beast rig
It certainly is!
No one beats 80 series LC for off roading and practicality period.
How did you get away without moving the front camera on that bullar? I had to have the camera relocated to the bullbar on mine
Not sure, Gene will have to chime in on this.
My modification Team Truckin Motion resolved the issue.

big money man
Good lord that cabin is a crash/tip over nightmare
That man has deep pockets
One day I'll be able to afford a Land Cruiser, but until them I'm 1000% happy with my 4Runner.

I’m starting to think I’m the only person who knows about the Sequoia.

He's been successful, yes. He's on the road exploring now!
😎💪🔥
Saddam loves land cruiser?
That's just mean
"Next question Gene, what do you do for a living?"
Retired I believe.
I’m in the Financial Services Industry, and Photography, approaching retirement so photography and over landing is my escape plan👍😎
Lucky guy! 👍🏽 one day i will be doing the same soon!
All of these so called overland videos are all and only about namedropping different products. Its totally boring and unimaginatvie.
