I know some of the poor sods who made this game. Broadsword were one of those devs who had to go to a 'publisher' (To put it generously, colossal morons.) who pitched out a game and these devs would be all "We can make the game in 6 months for this much money." and another dev would be like "OH, WE can make this game in 4 months with LESS money." So yea... good sign... So what you got was games cobbled together with a hideous amount of crunch. Sleeping in the office under a desk kinda shit. The goals were to ge the game done and out as quick as possible. No idea how long this took but it was WELL under the time they were given. But they would often have several contracts out at the same time to maximize their income. The games were shit anyway and nobody looked so who cares? It had to be functional enough to pass TRC and that's it. And also, the games were absolute shit. But the publishers didn't give a shit. This was easy shovel-ware days. This game was probably reduced to clear for a fiver in your local tesco. This DID make money, horrifying as that is to believe. The devs HATED this game. There was a review when this came out (I can't remember where it was from) that started talking about how amazing the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was and the impact it made on the industry and the lessons devs could be taken from it, before about two thirds the way through the review saying "NONE of this has been applied to this fucking game." The devs loved the review so much they framed it. The dance games you mentioned were all PS1 and PS2 if I remember right. They actually did REALLY well financially (probably because DDR was booming and these were a fiver in tesco and looked KINDA like it I guess?) and the main game was easy to just slap a few new songs on, maybe the odd new animation and WHAM! More money with minimal overheads. It was mostly animation budget too so it was the only game one of my friends actually LIKED working on. If I heard correctly, there were even arcade machines made of them but I have no idea if they ever made it to market. None of my arcade boffs have ever heard of them so I assume not. @@smpsgamer2752 Nope, 2007. But this awful adaptation of Robin Hood looks like a game that could've come out in 2006; hell, it looks like it came out in 1996.
When you complete the game, Maid Marian complains that you took too long to save her, and then goes on to break the fourth wall that she was nearly gonna save herself and "...mess up the whole story...". That was a remake of the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves game from what I remember.
I have literally seen better Net Yaroze games. In every sense. (Were some *REALLY* fun games released on the old OPSM demo disks for that, in fairness...) I know I'm late to this video, but just as a reminder, in 2007 we had: Bioshock, Mass Effect, Mario Galaxy...and this. Compare this to ME. Go ahead, I dare you.
There actually was a BBC Robin Hood game, but it was an online browser game on internet explorer. They released a new level every episode. I remember it because I spent a lot of time as a child trying to beat the stupid Maid Marion flute rhythm game.

Between this and Assassin's Creed, 2007 really redefined the stealth game genre
