    This is awesome, I can't wait to try mine out! I'm at the last stages of my build hopefully. I'll be doing my nifty shifter a little differently, my little switch on the gauge will be my torque converter lock and then I'll have a rocker switch to turn it to manual mode. I'm also getting rid of the stock shifter and I have a rad design VX shifter. I was originally going to use the rad rail shifter I actually bought it and still have it but then I found out about the VX shifter. The install for the VX is definitely a little more involved than their rock shifter or just the rail but I think it's pretty cool. There's a short video in a cherokee I'll try to attach although you can't really see the entire shifter but when I asked about it he sent me good pictures. I really like that you can shift 1-4 and I can set the lockouts so I can throw it straight to reverse if things go south on an obstacle you can literally choose any type of lockout pattern you want it's very versatile. 4th gear is activated by clicking the little switch with the side of the shifter handle like shown in the video so 1-4 can be activated essentially like a normal shifter. The VX shifter comes with and uses a completely different cable and linkage. He also gives you a new good looking 3d printed panel to snap into your center console for a clean install. Although I'm not sure if he has the panel for a 97-01 console yet.
    One extra thing I've done with my transmission is hooked up a pressure gauge to my test port because I want to see the difference between automatic and manual mode. You need a gauge that goes up to 300 psi it reads internal pressure not line pressure. I'll be leaving this gauge permanently, I have a lot of gauges. But if your interested I can give you the part numbers for the fittings I used to connect the pressure sensor to the transmission test port they aren't common fittings and were pretty difficult to come up with. The ATSG manual for the aw4 has a part number for the special test port fitting but it's long discontinued and I think my setup is better.

    works on 30-43le I have a 97 cherokee I want to put paddle shift to change gears with two buttons + -

    When Company makes this shifter? I was thinking about using a built 6L80 Transmission in my next build. Would this shifter be compatible if I wanted it? Thanks for any information.

    You have an LS right? If so is this with a 4l60 or something similar? I’m swapping my XJ and I’ve looking for a cheap “manual” option for the shifter

      No LS. 4.0 with the AW4. What trans are you going to run?

    How does it do with climbing sand dunes? That is all my jeep is used for and have noticed it has to really scream on the RPM to get up some of the big ones. Also just a 4.0 with stock transmission

      It climbs very well but it also gets the transmission super hot. Being able to hold it in gear and lock the tc has helped tremendously. Unfortunately I don’t do sand dunes only sand washes. However I do climb one sand hill in the desert to set up targets for shooting and noticed by trans temp can climb 25-50*f in under 30 seconds!!!!!! It’s unbelievable

      @@fabguy276 That is very important to know. This indicates that an oil cooler should be a must. I won´t use this for off roading, but I do drive a lot on mountain roads. Thanks buddy.

      Unfortunately it is all tucked away but Nick has videos on that already. All I did was follow the provided instructions. Nothing unique in my setup whatsoever. TC lock option, toggle switch on the gauge to turn the manual mode on, and the 3rd switch for overdrive. The overdrive option makes the gears 2,3,4 instead of 1,2,3.
