I like your style
Do you still recommend the spal fan over the factory style?
@@chineseempanada420 💯
@@fabguy276 sweet I’m going to order an 11 spal and do the same then!
@@chineseempanada420 smart move
I’m gonna try this!
No youre good more fans dude
OEM Toyota ATF, not the WS fluid. But for their power steering and older transmissions is dexron 3. Will this work in my AW4? I can get bottles of Toyota PS fluid which is dex 3 pretty decent price
Question what double sheer clamp is that my fox ts didnt work so i literally have the same setup now as u with a king stabilizer
@@Evo_JL I made it myself with a clamp from Amazon and some laser cut tabs
My owners manual says different
@@harveyharmon6643 OEM isn’t always optimal
Awesome Video , im also doing simuler mods to my Jeep TJ
What diff skid is that?
@@moejr14 custom welded
Glad i came back to this i remember you had rock kralwer steering im also running jt and its hitting my draglink any tips before ordering this rustys bracket?
@@Evo_JL that Rusty’s bracket will pull right on but you will need to weld it on as well. I think Rock Krawler actually sells a bracket now but it’s pretty dang expensive.
@@fabguy276 i did see but wont work for my application im running a double throwdown and my bypass mount sits right in front were that rk clamp attaches to the tie rod so this looks like my last option the fox bolt to the trackbar location didnt work it hits bad
@@fabguy276 well im hoping since im running a through shaft fox stabilzer hopefully when the through shaft goes driver side doesnt hit the tierod
@@Evo_JL only one way to find out
The engine was meant to operate at 195-205 degrees for performance……altering that you are losing horsepower….
@@jammerlupardi8782 have you Dyno tested this theory of yours? In my experience, lowering the air intake temperature will give you more horsepower. You don’t want the Jeep to run too cool but if you took your jeep for a spin at night when it was 40° outside, I guarantee you it would be five times faster than during the day at 110°F, Fahrenheit.
@@fabguy276 we all know that colder air is more dense that hotter air ….more air = more hp
any suggestions on MIG welding the mild steel to cast steel? I don't have a TIG machine.
Preheated properly, reheat it while you’re welding and post heated or proper cool down and you should be fine.
I know this is old but I need those cross bar mounts lol
how to protect the machine from water or rain?
Make a Cover for it like I did with dzus tabs.
I have a noise coming from my a frame bushings . They have less than 3 miles from install which was three years ago . Truck sat not getting driven much . Do you this this would help?
💯
But wasn't atf+4 formulated by mopar to work with dex3?
I’m not 100% certain. Good question….
So basically man just wasted like $300 😭 Well at least they’re good for crawling
No waste at all. I drive it like a Jeepspeed too!
So sick!
Love your ideas! Would be dope to see some longer videos of you installing it! I wanna do air bumps the same way just never been confident about how to reinforce it enough
I sold the Rig. Upgraded to a Rubicon!
Are you worries about water gettin Inthe fans or anything.
Not at all
Are you still selling your XJ? I saw your post on autotrader but it won’t let me contact you
Sold
Wait so is this before you swapped the torn motor mount or after?
Before
This is the response I got from Amsoil: "AMSOIL Technical Service Department with your question. For the Aisin-Warner AW4 transmission, the current fluid recommended is to use a Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid equivalent. Our top recommendation for the best performance for that transmission would be to use our Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, product code ATF"
Hello, I’ve watched almost all your videos on the XJ. I’m about to build my rear end up, struggling with leaf pack/shackle design. Can you share what this set up is/was? I don’t ever see the shackles in the videos.
I used a Deaver leaf pack with SFR (Stinky Fab) shackle relocation brackets. The shackle angle at ride height should be 45* degrees ideally compared to a string line from eye to eye of the shackle eyelets. I think there is a video on it. Lemme know if that helps
Awesome
When Company makes this shifter? I was thinking about using a built 6L80 Transmission in my next build. Would this shifter be compatible if I wanted it? Thanks for any information.
I think so. Ask Nick in Time. He had a channel as well. He makes the shift module
Love your ideas man! Where/how did you mount your sensor for your aftermarket temp gauge?
I installed it in line with the hot side of the heater hose connected to the thermostat housing
Oh mo
I have an '00 XJ, & am forced to put a lot of hwy miles (75mph) plains & some long hill climbs (no crawling or mountains to play in around the MO River Valley) on my 4.0 w/ 220k, original trans & 31s. Doing the trans today. Not stocked to drop $60 on trans fluid, but at the same ti.e it's a high mileage trans & would rather keep it cool & shifting as well as it does for as long as I can so seems like money well spent. I would be curious if anyone runs a friction modifier as I have had issues with both a Honda Odyssey where the trans started to slip out of nowhere not long after following Honda's procedure for servicing the trans, as well as a Dodge Caravan where it went into limp mode shortly after servicing the trans, but I also drove it to the mountains the day after servicing. So the computer may have went buggy after changing the fluid at 4k' & then climbing & spending a week around 10k'. Any input would be appreciated.
Go get some!
my car doeant do the “automatic fan” thing, is it okay if spal works all the time at high speed?
Yes other than it will take longer to warm up thus being a little harder on the life of the engine.
I fucking love it man. If got vids on the install on any of those other installs I’ll check them out too!
Hey bro. I'm interested in your XJ. Not sure how reliable the chat and offer feature is on Autotrader so I figured I'd hit you up here. My names Adam.
Unfortunately I already soled it but it is up for sale again. I think it is on Facebook Marketplace
@@fabguy276 thanks for the reply. Is the buyer flipping it or something?
@@MSpeedThree yes, he changed some things to his liking, then tore off a radius arm because he added it to the 3 link like an idiot thinking it would be stronger. I told him to run the 3 link OR the radius arm setup not combine them as the geometry is different. 😂. In any case it’s an easy fix. The 3 link is still intact. Just haggle him on the price. He has it for way too high. I sold it to him for $7500. It’s worth a lot to somebody who can appreciate the time put into it for sure. It’s a solid jeep.
How do u fix that
Watch my other videos
Awesome 👍
Is the hood drilled and tapped for the hinges from McNeil?
It has boots in the factory location for the hinges. Hood pin holes are not there
Mopar atf4?
Hey brother, sent an offer on your XJ on autotrader!
I sold it already but it is for sale again on facebook marketplace
Can you do a video detailing the install ? And set up
Unfortunately I sold the Jeep. The installation uses the factory location bracket holes that are threaded. The brackets I made were not the easiest as they had to be bent to line up correctly so the fan laid perfectly flat to spin correctly. Not the easiest to make tbh…. But worth the time
@@fabguy276 was the connector spliced into the original aux pigtail ? Or did you need a relay so it would not blow a fuse ?
@@deadspeed6679 I spliced into the oem pigtail so it used that circuit and didn’t need an additional relay/fuse setup.
BIG FUCKEN DIFFERENCE DUDE !!! 🙏🏽
whats the difference in performance compared to oem one? in cfm? you can use the original electric conector without putting aditional relays and fusibles?
I’m not 100% sure what the CFM difference is but it is significant. The connecter needs to be changed which is only two wires. No additional relays or fuses are needed.
The cfm is 1233 for the 11” Spal.
@@fabguy276 thank you dude that helped me a lot
The problem is, it’s not adjustable and it’s not pass through. If you have any wander or drift to one direction, this will be your culprit.
Why would it cause wander when it doesn’t stroke whatsoever when off the car?
I would probably install some urethane motor mounts
I did after watching this video
@@fabguy276 ohh i gotcha, did it help much?
@@JacobEcret big time! One was broken
@@fabguy276 oh jeez I bet, it didn’t look healthy
I might have to get a couple of these. I had seen in another video a guy running a stabilizer on the drag link as well facing the other way, it’s worth a try if you have two stabilizers. My cheap stabilizer from iron rock off-road twists so most likely it works fine. Did you notice a difference while driving?
Yes, it is a night and day difference
'Promo sm'
?
I seen this jeep on offer up
Did it sell
Great video! 1994 AW4 here, dextron works fine.
Which cooler did you get? Trying to lower my temps on my ZJ
I have 5 trans coolers! LOL
I like it!
