OEM front sway bar with a beefy rear, just do new bushings and links. Aftermarket front sway bars can cause significant understeer especially when youre running coilovers and a big rear sway bar. The best setup is an OEM front sway bar with a rear sway bar of roughly the same diameter as the front: Progress, Suspension Techniques, etc. I know alot of prelude and accord guys dont even run a front sway bar for autocross or track. Considering its a EK with a much shorter wheel base a OEM front bar will work just fine
To start off prob should just put in a type r rear sway with a small front one. Get the suspension dialed and learn trail braking to help rotate the car. Should leave the car mostly stock to get a feel for it and learn what mods work and what doesn't. Also should build the car for a class instead of throwing mods at it.
you know.. if i dont see aki, hear her voice for 1 day. my day not complete and feel something wrong.. for aki.. may you have a good health and keep spread positive vibes...
Don’t take an absence from UA-cam bro. I literally just subscribed to you like 2-3 days ago. Cause like you said you really do help US with all the information you give us. I bought a k20a2 2 weeks ago to swap into my 94 jdm integra that I got like 2 months ago. This is my first ever Honda, and me being new to the Honda scene you’re videos REALLY do help me understand more about these car/motors. Keep up the hard work bro💯
What’s up Aki, check out “Gears and Gasoline” he has a similar build and he’s killing it on the circuit track. He is pretty detailed with the build but of course not as detailed as you lol! Keep doing your thing love the videos.
I'm not sure what series are you running with but most of them requires to be either windows down or no windows for the front driver's door. The reason why is if you crash, they need to be able to pull you out if needed. Check the rules of the organization that you'll be running with.
Yooo fam the content is always 🔥🔥🔥💯 u can't please em all we need the haters....just know that the honda heads and real gunners are with u Salute!!!🔫🔫🔫
There is a carbonate hard coating on the lexan. Thats why its difficult to skuff. When i had windscreens made by Zero Gravity i had this coating applied. Quality product👍
I would leave the messed up lexan window gonna match the different colored caliper on the driver side, seems to be the trend of this build hahah aki apperciate you! Much love!
Love the channel and the really nice informative content you give out its always awesome watching your videos with my kids they enjoy the channel as well
I like the video first and watch the vlogs for my morning cardio. The longer the video the better, helping me with both my goals at the same time. Keep gunnin fam🔥🔥🔫🔫
I have no front sway bar with 24mm ASR rear bar. My Fortune Auto 510 front spring rates are 14kg and 16kg rear Swift springs. I like my car setup to be a bit lose so the rear will rotate. If you must run a front bar, just get one from the DC Integra and call it good.
Start off as stock as you can learn what your selected rubber can do for you tire pressures..... shocks if you aren't running koni yellows ots as a bare min ur doing this wrong. Ya don't need top of the line everything to learn how to drive a car fast. No Aero until u get some serious seat time. Listen to Brian he knows what he is talking about. He has been building race parts for long time. He has been supplying me race proven parts for a long time. Your front sway should be bone stock for now. Rear sway find a GSR or greater (Typer R) don't be afraid to reach out to real circuit drivers. Ya have alot of street car guys on here. Most just tell you to buy skunk. They are ok but they aren't A number one in alot of our books.
Build the car for a class and keep it simple. Don't overbuild the car and find out your forced into the fastest class. Just get good coils and don't run fortune auto ebay junk they give em to every youtuber and most don't run em. Simple front sway with a type r rear. Learn how to drive and than add mods so you know what they do. Koni ground control is a great budget setup. Will want custom rate shocks/springs to suit you and the tracks your running down the line.
“ASR” sway bars front or rear by a long shot. Best options on the market and they have a set up for drag or circuit. 22mm to 1” thick. “Pause”. Even a straight bar option. Check it out
25mm sway bar for dc2 greatest sway bar you’ll ever use at the track that’s what i run and in the back i run a 24mm on the stiff setting I have a 99 ek coupe
Hi Aki thanks for the video - I make my own lexan windows for my e36 Bmw. Have you ever considered black vinyl for the borders instead of paint? Also - what about black rivets for a cleaner look?
Bruhh please dont stop doin UA-cam I look forward to all the content and all the information that you put in every video keep killin it the channel will keep growing this circuit build has been great looking forward to much more vlogs💯
Provided you have relatively high spring rates, keep the front anti roll bar stock and just do poly bushes and drop links. Big front anti roll bars promote understeer and can cause traction problems on FWD. A nice big rear bar with stock front is the way 👌
Listen to Brian he knows what he is saying. You add all those go fast part with out knowing how the car acts bone stock and you'll be chasing a false set up for a long time. Tires, tire pressure , shocks and spring rates sway bars, change a car.
00:55 PAUSE! LMMFAO! I don't want you to take a break for selfish reasons, but I TRULY understand when you need some time to yourself and reset. If that is what you are doing, I'm sure everyone understands. You and Trap have taught and are still teaching myself and many others so much that your presences are blessings. I wish I knew more about Circuit racing so I can give back, unfortunately I don't. Sorry. I hope everyone has a great one.
I’m probably a bit late, but on the del Sol I’ve used 26mm front and 26mm rear sway bars for autocross and track days. Feels very neutral and can get some oversteer when you lift throttle suddenly on corner entry or mid corner. On my EK hatch I went with the CTR/EM1 26mm front and PLM 24mm rear which feels great so that’s what I’d recommend (26mm front from EM1/CTR). You dont really have to change to EM1/CTR one piece lower control arms because you can get aftermarket endlinks that work with the 2 piece arms.
Dose any gunners have a obd2a Ls non-vtec Distributor? For a 99 integra LS PayPal ready but if ur in or around Delaware new jersey new York or Pennsylvania I'm willing to drive! This gunner needs saving!
Really been putting in the work for years aki, behind you all the way, pause.... but keep it up and maybe you do need a break like you said a lot of people gonna miss all this IMPORTANT info
Front sway bar options? Man, too many opinions. Some racers swear by No front sway bar (only rear sway). Most set ups I've seen run an OEM front sway bar and a pretty big rear sway but just because others use a set up, don't mean it's for you. I think it's a similar situation to the rear wing. It's something you feel out. It's also a preference thing. Some drivers want the rear end to rotate around pretty easy. FWD can rotate if set up to do so. Springs rates, tires, sway bars, gearing, brakes, blah blah blah. Tons of variables. $$$$ I went back to drag racing. I don't know EK's too well. I'm guessing there is a chance the EM1 Si front sway is bigger than an EX? Anyways, I'd run a stock sway with your 17mm rear (I think 94-01 GSR is 17mm too) and go from there. You'll figure out the correct balance for you (oversteer--------understeer).
I've seen some guys just put fasteners all the way around all three sides and they just leave the bottom since it's under tension from the curve from personal experience idk
Since you explained the meaning of "pause" few vlogs ago, I find your vlogs even more fun 😆. EK9's stock sway bars are 26 mm front / 22 mm rear. So if you have a 23 mm rear you can try a 27 mm front sway bar to have a similare balance as an EK9. I know whiteline produce this size for EK. But very often having a front sway bar too big will create understeer. I will suggest to try an Integra LS (22 mm if i'm correct) or GSR (24 mm) at most, to have a good balance. PCI is rIght. Dialed your car with mechanical grip first. When the balance is good then add aero.
APPRECIATE YOU BRO. You give me motivation to work on my car when i first started watching i had no tools or knowledge. Know I change my own fluids, change my own brakes, and i even recently swapped 2 motor mounts on my 2012 Civic.🔫🔫🔫🔥🧠🌎

Yea . .the rear bar will help the car with turn in. .. I learned my tuning doing sim racing.
Yeah some of the 8th gen guys do it too. Progress 22mm/24mm rear, no front sway. But them 8th gens are big bodies
@@MaverickSi93 Yeah I've even heard some of the track/time attack guys ditched their 24mm for a 22mm. Too twitchy I guess lmao. 30mm is gnarly 😳

Should leave the car mostly stock to get a feel for it and learn what mods work and what doesn't. Also should build the car for a class instead of throwing mods at it.
That the setup I'm running. Took the car to the tail of the dragon. Car was perfect

Aki wouldn’t approve of the porsche brakes lol but I love watching the bens too
That’s good you feel blessed I’m 40 and already had a stroke and open heart surgery but doin better now. Be thankful for your health and happiness.

I was going to suggest the exact same thing. A good 24mm oem GSR front sway bar would be a good choice.
Ay Aki it’s Richard what’s good #KeepGunnin🔫🔫🔫👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Whatever you guys do, DON'T let Trap climb the 🪜 to put the doors up! 😂 ❤️🔫

Watching this UA-cam channel makes my interest grow more for K20 and K 24 engines. For the sway bars you can use Megan racing or white line
