I upgraded my K1 Max to the hot end that comes in the K1C. I thought I was getting an after market hot end but it turned out to be a genuine Creality part it works fantastic! I also removed the plastic drag chain and replaced it with a riser and a different cabling and Boden Tube support system I found on thingiverse. This got rid of the slapping noises that my printer was making. It also improved the flow thru the Boden Tube since it did not bind when printing in the rear left quadrant of the printer.

The stringing was definitely an existing problem.

I look forward to see more from you
I don't expect you to remember me, but we met at the Goshen Indiana 3d expo. I was the one with the broken arm 😂

4:25 - When I saw calipers shorting the positive and negative poles of a battery, I felt a million electrical engineers cry out in anguish, and were then silenced.

4:25 Are you not shorting the battery here? Did this once on an 18650 and it sparked. Would not recommend.

Some multimeters don’t have conductive bearings between the rails. I would still generally recommend against it, as wear and tear can close a circuit.
Oh, and battery specs are well documented.

Hello CHEP, i have a question after receiving my K1 max and it might not be a standard question
My question is about the cable connected to the screen of my K1 max. I would like to extend it with about 30/40CM, but dont know what kind of cable i can use to do this :)
I believe it is a 41pin FFC LCD cable but would like to make sure. Could someone please advice me on what type of cable to use and where i can buy this type of extention cable??
--> Some might want to question why one would want to extend it, its because i have it in a cabinet with glass door and i want to have the screen outside of this chamber.. Double heat chamber... i have the option and this helps me to leave the top glass pannel off and saves me the hastle of a filament dryer

Video is good! Thunderbolt batteries, bad! I never had good luck with them anyway.

    Hey Chuck,
Are you unable to reduce print temperature or increase retraction to reduce stringing? The only alternative is expensive hotend upgrade? Glad I learned a few things or you could have new users spending extra money before trying cheaper solutions or just adjusting settings in slicer.

They print about the same quality and speed for me. P1S is slightly bigger bed, K1C has touch screen.

BambuLab are better printers but tend to cost more.

looking at flowtech nozzles, I wish someone in china would still make the old single piece j-heads for cheap. where the cold tube and the nozzle itself are part of the heated block. the mishmash I'd want is that, combined with a heatsink instead of the fluted ptfe holder. the flowtech kinda achieves the same. kinda only and at a cost.

Did you have to recalibrate your machine to the new hotend?

You don’t have to code to use existing designs. You can just run them. But also with a few minor changes you can make it how you want. You don’t have to start from scratch.

We have sent out our printer at 3/8 earlier this year for your review video. But for 5 months you didn’t post any about it on your UA-cam channel. We sincerely hope this collaboration can happen because we trust your credibility and professionalism. That’s why we reached out to you many times to check if everything is ok. However, you stop replying to the messages from May until now and according to hints on X you have read all of them but just keep ignoring.
We must say this is really a disappointing experience because we did have such high expectation for you and your channel. If you can see this message, we still hope you can make an impartial video about our product like you always do ASAP. Otherwise, I’m afraid you need to send our printer back and put a termination of this cooperation after nothing in 5 months.
We look forward to hearing back from you.
