questions like that are somehow devaluing all the hard work and discipline you put into having the lifestyle you have now. Discipline is not easy. Posting content on the regular while trying to avoid burnout is not easy. Achieving your dream bod is not easy. Been following you for years and the amount of self improvement is crazy

The entire concept of delegitimizing someone’s hard work and accomplishments because their life and resources don’t exactly mirror yours is wild to me. You obviously work hard and are kind and happy and someone trying to tear that down because they’re not in the same spot you are is ridiculous. Keep going girl ❤️

I don't usually comment, but feel compelled to share a little bit. I'm a 67-year-old women and I've been following Allana for a few years now - while I was still working outside the home, and now that I am retired. Some of the advice is applicable to me, some is not, but ALL of her content is entertaining and fun - and I've learned a bit along the way. I appreciate your work ethic, kindness and compassion. Every day May is my favorite time of year! Thanks for all you do for us - keep it going! ❤

I’m a 43 years old working mom of twins and I’m here to say that I get so much from Allana, I have been following her way before she started her super woman transformation and I love her HGW series so much that I recently went back into the playlist and watched them all again. I’m in absolute awe of you and the HGS community you have built. You are correct in saying everyone has the power of changing their lifestyle if they want it bad enough. It takes a lot of discipline to do what you’ve accomplished over the years I’ve been watching you. I’m trying to change…and my mindset. I’m a work in progress and I do what I can. You inspire me. I’m over 60, disabled and I’m searching/finding what works for me. I also find that I need to do workouts that I love and that I can physically do. Stretching and dancing. I am a full-time university student and I work and I have completely transformed my routine to make sure I can get in some sort of movement because of you. Sure, I can’t afford “the program” 😂, but genuinely just moving my body has given me a new level of confidence and discipline that I didn’t know was possible. I so agree. I have a 9-5 and do extra work after and am learning 2 languages, training for marathons and doing gym workouts. Some extra tips i have is
    - swap commute for bicycle- i get 2h of exercise a day just to get to work!
    - meal prep and normalise bringing your food to the office- both breakfast and lunch. healthy food is great
    - get yourself friends who align with your lifestyle- you will see that these things are possible. For example my work has a slack channel for running and gym enthusiasts
    - find a gym near the office- get it done before you get home/ before you start work
    It’s all possible 🥰

I personally love all the HGS content! I find you so motivating and inspiring. I work a 9 to 5 full-time job and still manage to get to the gym 5 days a week. It's totally doable. I can't afford to do F45 or to hire a PT but I use a workout app on my phone called STRNG and that gives me a program to follow at the gym - 2 leg days, a push day, a pull day, and a full body day. Having a program makes such a huge difference. I wish I had discovered it sooner. Now I look forward to my workouts!

It’s all about discipline and wanting to change. There’s so much free workouts on YT and it’s not about copying your exact routine. Find the things that works for you, if 5 days of workouts feels too much - do 4. Changing your lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight, it’s going to take some time and that’s okay! Just take the first step and go from there! Allana, you are such an inspiration! 💕

I COMPLETELY agree with your conclusions. It’s a choice not to make lifestyle changes and hide behind excuses. I am the person that commenter described (9-5, 85k, etc.) and I do all the things you do- lifting most days, cardio, tracking my meals, getting my steps in, etc. I did all of these things when I worked 65+ hours a week in the Army and I’m about to start law school whence I FULLY intend to continue with all of these things. If you want to make it happen, you will. Not to mention that it’s pretty crappy for someone to attempt to downplay everything you, Allana, are accomplishing just because of the type of job/lifestyle you have. Thank you for continuing to post this part of your day because it is motivating and legitimately feels like I have a friend keeping me accountable to my own goals and progress. ❤

My hobby is my health. They didn’t like that answer but that’s the only way I can do it. For my mental and physical health it’s the only way I can do it with a career and family. Honestly, watching you work out, get up and running helps me get out of bed in the morning 😂 it’s kinda like a: “if Allana can do it, so can I.” I know any video regarding health, wellness and fitness can be super divisive- but any long term viewer of yours can understand that the purpose of HGS isn’t to replicate what you’re doing. It’s to just implement change where you can. 😂 your HGW & HGS videos got me to go on walks. And now - I’m doing interval jogging! (Mind you with LOTS of breaks 😅) but it’s these kind of realistic fitness check ins that really helped me see that I can implement fitness in my lifestyle!
Anyways - this tedtalk is just me saying that being a long time viewer - it helps to see someone who started at the beginning and end up at a different point ❤ keep posting 💪🏼

Hi! Corporate girly here. It is 1000% possible and attainable to create the lifestyle you want but that requires effort, planning and adjustments. Myself and friends included who prioritize fitness/ wellness and nutrition are waking up pretty damn early to get out on walk/ runs to ensure we get to our step goal. We are also carving out time for our strength training sessions either before or after work AND we are meal prepping on Sundays and Wednesday to ensure we have healthy food options throughout the week. Some weeks are great others are tough but you just do it and you learn that in order for change to occur you have to put the work in! Love you Allana- I’ve learned so much from you and I love being a part of your community.

For non-morning people, get a gym membership or fitness classes near your place of work or along your commute home. That way you don't have to wake up any earlier, you can make better use of a time of day that you're already awake and out, and you can avoid rush-hour traffic if you work 9-5. I did this for years and it was brilliant. It also feels really nice to have a second shower washing the day off after your workout.

Ok - my 5 cents! Since beginning of 2020 I've been working from home. Year later i opened my own business, again working from home. No kids, now 41yro, house with a garden, 5 mins walk from the beach, dog owner. So roughly 1 year ago i realized that anything i do daily is a full time motivation. Work, shower, cook, clean, walk the dog, workout, not having wine in the evening (daily), go for a swim, meet with friends, put mascara on, travel (and we own travel agency ), etc. When i worked 9-5 ( often shifts ) i was out all day, then out with friends, weekend gateways, dinner cooked, house cleaned... you get me. Once you get going it is easier to keep doing it. So actually started by hot girl summer myself ( just in my case it will be most probably summer of 2025 😅😅😅😅) thanks to you Allana just to be the best version of myself and you motivate me when i cannot motivate myself! I hope it makes sense.....kisses from Greece!

I love the comments and totally agree. I have a 9-5 job and I do a full body workout at the gym every other day, so 3 or 4 times a week, depending. On the other days I like going for walks if possible. But essentially it's about finding what works for you and your life and brings you joy and makes you feel better. And if working out regularly is not something you want to make room for then that's also fine. Of course it is going to be harder for some people than others, but there's hardly anything to be done about that besides reckognising it, which I believe you're very much doing Lan, so thanks for the motivation :)

I have also had different phases of resisting or pushing back against health content as "just diet culture" (though I never commented or dm'd anyone I was taking the time to watch! And I find you to be very gracious about always clarifying that this is what works for YOU, and not virtue signaling or attempting to make anyone in your audience feel bad. Allana alluded to it a bit, but I think it’s definitely helpful to be mindful that consistent change happens over time. You don’t need to jump into working out 5 days a week. If you’re starting at zero, aim for 1-2 days to start until that feels sustainable. You can always increase, but if you choose goals that art too lofty to start, it’s can seem impossible.

Literally YES YES YES to all of this! It makes people so uncomfortable when they see others live in a way or make the changes that they are finding so challening. I'm a full time mama, I run my own business and expecting my second baby soon! I ran a marathon 6 months after my first daughter was born and I still train five days a week even whilst pregnant, mothering and working! Our health is an absolutely priority and we to put it first in order to thrive at everything else we want to do in this life. Feeling fit and strong and healthy makes me feel incredible. I used to struggle with the comments family and friends would make around me "over doing it" or being to "disciplined" but only WE know our own bodies and minds and how loving and positive a healthy amount of discipline and pushing ourselves can bring into our lives. You look UNREAL girl, absolutely glowing inside and out. Keep going and inspiring and not being afraid to share your journey 😍

It will always amaze me the things people say to others just out of spite. Self improvement of ANY kind takes sacrifice, health and wellness included. Everyone has different barriers and obstacles but if it’s something you want to commit to, then you have to do that for yourself! No one is going to remove or navigate those obstacles for you. Watching your HGW/summer videos really helped me check in with my own goals and inspires me to kick my butt in to gear when I’m in a slump 🖤🖤🖤

Following you for a couple of years Allana and adoring you with every single video, everything you said 100% resonate with me and all the shifts you've done in your life. I started doing the same two years ago: cutting out alcohol (realizing it was just making me so tired), walking on the self-discovery and spiritual path, and changing various aspects of my life to fit the new version of me. This is a choice we can all make every second of every minute in our lives. LOVE LOVE U so much and thank you for being the amazing you, no matter what.

Im a mom of three kids under 7, workout 5 days a week, training for marathon #2, I work 7-3. Im exhausted by 6pm… But I do all this because it makes me feel good.
I save money by working out at home and not going to the gym. I save time by waking up at 4am to get in my workouts.

For many years I’ve wanted to do weight training and wasn’t able to motivate myself until you Allana. You inspired me to get to it and now after a few weeks I’ve been consistently doing free weights. I have a gym to go to and that is my next step. You motivated me seeing how shredded you are without the bulk. You look so streamlined and lean. Love that look and that’s my goal. Thank you for being so inspiring to get fit and living healthier!

Work full time, doing my masters part time I am also a parent to two young children. My workout time is before they wake up. I have a small at home setup with a mat and some weights (lucky to have the room for it). I saved up for months to get a walking pad so I can get my steps in while doing readings for classes. Also small changes will add up throughout the weeks and months of consistency. I've been watching you for years Allana keep doing you and what works for you and your moment in life! ❤

As someone who works 9-5 with a demanding job and has chronic pain I am amazed at people who have kids and workout regularly. It’s easy to assume others have it easier than you and that it gives you an out for not doing anything. I love my slow controlled workouts at home and cater them to how I am feeling that day. Something is better than nothing, and to your point, a walk sometimes is more than enough!!

I really like the content you make. I think you’re genuine and real. As for the whole “you can do this only cause your influencer”, I don’t buy it! It only takes a mind set and you can do anything! I’m a working mum of two kids. I get up every morning at 4,15 to do my run and Pilates workout and have a moment to myself, then it’s family time and get ready for work! Afternoon is kids time, meal prep for tomorrow, and a relaxing evening routine! Anything is possible, you just have to decide if you really want to do it!

I like how you always emphasise that health and fitness is a priority for you, your lifestyle is built around that and you make compromises for it. I just see your videos as advice where I can take away individual habits / ideas that work with my life. If you have kids or an inflexible job or a limited budget of course that’s going to affect your priorities. But you can still probably make some changes like walking more, or taking up an active hobby at weekends, or swapping out some foods for healthier options.

Loved every part of this video! I work full time and followed along with you for HGW/HGS ETC as I figured my fitness stuff out over the past two years. I haven’t done everything you have, but you give me the motivation to keep it up! Reached a weight goal, did a fitness competition, and finally got healthy enough to get pregnant. I work out a couple times less per week now but still go, and feel great doing it. Fitness is for everyone. Whether it’s walking or running or CrossFit or power lifting. You can do a little or a lot and still gain so much from it. I’m swinging into hot pregnant girl summer!

I do a massive meal prep day for the whole week. Allana you were the person that inspired me to do it and stick to it. Consistency is key. Don’t listen to these people who choose to tear people down just so that they feel better about the excuses they use to not do it themselves. Keep going girl. You are doing a great job. I coudn't agree more Lan. I've just turned 53 (on the 29th) Since I discovered the gym when I turned 19 I have always worked out. I've been working out at home for years. Plus yoga for the past 7 years. I have worked, shifts, 9-5. That meant getting up early or having to go after work to get my workouts in. Only to have rude people say much the same thing to my face. It takes hard work, dedication, energy you sometimes don't think you have. People who discredit the effort you make to take care of yourself are not worth your time. You are awesome and an inspiration to so many. I am inspired just reading the comments from others! This community nurtures my soul. Thanks for bringing us together Lan 💪💖

I am 58, I've had to have 3 surgeries in the past year on my upper and lower left femur. I was in a wheelchair before that. I now can walk without having to use a walker or cane. I am truly blessed! You've inspired me to start lifting my dumbbells, do yoga and walk as far as I can everyday. I will have a limp and Arthritis in my leg for the rest of my life. I am not going to let that keep me down though! Thank you so much, for being the strong, wonderful woman that you are!! You are amazing!! ❤

With every gain there has to be some sacrifice and most of the time if you want to have more time for exercise you have to sacrifice some time either from scrolling or your social life. It isn't easy but it is doable. People don't realize that the more you do and the more you move your body, the more you feel energized and are able to do more things in a day. I had a 9-5 and went to the gym and sometimes even did yoga and went to the gym in the same day. Some days I even worked 10 hour shifts. I worked 6 days a week. So I know it can be done. But there has to be some sacrifice from some things. Maybe from sleep and a bit of social life, from alcohol and excessive eating. Anyone who wants to change their lifestyle must accept that they will have to make some sacrifices along the way but it is worth it. Complaining about our situation or blaming others does not lead to anywhere. Thank you Allana, I have been following you since your Calgary days and always appreciate you sharing your journey to a healthier life. Much love from Istanbul, Turkey! 😇

Thank you so much for talking about this - I’m a doctor and work some crazy hours and I still make it a priority to get in a workout because it helps me decompress from some emotionally difficult days as well as the obvious physical benefits. I also get comments from people at work about how I can only do this because I don’t have children, which I cannot stand. Priorities are priorities, and me choosing to use my time in this way has nothing to do with what other things I have or don’t have going on.

Thank you for having this "discussion" (lol like you said one way), people don't realize that just because you go to the gym, play tennis and get your steps in doesn't mean everyone does too. WOW what an incredibly condescending comment! I had to pause the video to get my thoughts out 😂The audacity to "challenge" you, as if you don't work hard and couldn't possibly achieve what you have with your health/body if you had a different lifestyle. It's perfectly possible to achieve these things with the lifestyle that person has (as many other people in the comments have shown)! Sure, it might look different to how you do it but it's different for absolutely everyone! I think the challenge here is not for you but actually for them to learn how to make it work for them in their circumstances ...rather than acting as if what you have accomplished has less value because your life and resources aren't exactly the same. You responded to this beautifully, thoughtfully and with absolute grace ❤ I absolutely LOVE how you took such a devaluing comment and turned it into the most motivational video. You superstar you🌟
