i keep having a ringing chime saying the top is open; but it is closed. and chime continues to speedometer starts working on screen. what could be the repair for this issue
Mr short a vw beetle convertible 2018 that has roof issue , was brought into a vw shop for diagnostic , the only code that comes up is a mechanical issue , in your video we see a 3 d view of the exact location of the problem , I saw myself the diagnosis and there was no diagram showing where the issue was , I was at a vw dealership , would they not have the same program you have , they are telling me the only thing to do is change the roof framing , thank you , what is the system you have , so I can ask the dealer why they can't see where exactly the issue is . the canvas around the glass window in the roof of the soft top tend to recede? so the glass eventually falls out. Is this a common problem with beetles or soft top roofs in general ? im really struggling for this information. thanks, karen
Most convertible glass falls out, and the reason is the lack of opening the roof periodically. I use adhesive tape, which is similar to using it for sports shoes, as I canceled the glass and used nylon glass, which is replaceable and cheap.Better than taking the car to remove the car roof cover If you need more information, let me know. Thanks for the reply, your answer make sense cause it's only when the top is open and rest on the trunk of the 09 vw.beetle the alarm goes off when driving off, but, where on the trunk the lock is located? This car is in Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲 and it's the only one, it's hard to find someone who knows how to find the problem to fix it. If l knew where the lock is located on the trunk, l could fix it cause l am a auto body repairer. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
I find the problem to stop the convertible vw roof alarm from keep going off when roof is down. Hold the power switch on open until you hear the cable in the back stop making notice, the open roof light will goes off and change color.

What can cause the roof audio alarm to keep on going off when driving off in a 09 VW convertible beetle bug?
Hi, The audio alarm going off just means something is not closed correctly either the convertible top or the trunk is not latch properly,

The the roof alarm issue is on a 2009 beetle when open Not a 2019.
