Yeah if your Create pipe system is left with an open end anywhere while it's active, it'll give you that spraying animation and void the fluid.
The quick & dirty way to fill a Create Spout is to just set up a Tinker's Melter above it with the faucet directly above the Spout. And although the Melter can't create alloys, brass is one of the alloys that can be made by hand from the constituent metal dusts.

Tinker's Melter? I'll look into that, so I can not worry about wasting ingots.
Oh? I didn't know brass could be dust mixed. Maybe it is dusts that I can't make yet? In episode 18 I'll look into that.

Yeah, the dusts should be available via the Alchemistry compactor from their respective element.
