Hey everyone! Welcome to this weeks video where I am sharing some inspired artwork I've recreated in hopes you can also get inspired and do these yourselves.
To start, this work is NOT my own. I have been a follower of these two artists for some time. See their respective links below on Instagram:

I am always inspired to create and by any means is their "their way" of how they do it. I actually have no idea how they create such beautiful pieces of art. This was my attempt at how I thought they executed their work.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
11X14 art (canvas) boards
Black acrylic paint
Beige acrylic paint
paint tray
large paint brush
small paint brush
3M masking tape (1") or 1/2"
Vinyl Spackling
An empty tub or container to mix your paint
Plastic trowel
Metal scrapers

I am definitely going to attempt the Ida Vicfors inspired art. I tried it today with some supplies I had on hand, but it didn't turn out 100% the way I wanted so I ordered the supplies you recommended and will try again :)

These are great!! Just a tip, however. If you make sure your tape is adhering well, then always apply your paint AWAY from the tape, you'll have far fewer issues with the paint bleeding. I love these though. Great job!!

The hostess was stoned or something for the entire video resulting in creating a black painted rectangle after talking about blue tape for nearly 20 minutes.

AMAZING. I discovered 45threemodernvintage in Los Angeles via instagram yesterday and loved their art pieces (similar to these). I plan to visit next week, however, some of the pieces I liked are similar to what you've created. You just inspired me to try to replicate rather than pay hundreds. Liz: thank you for the video. I'm not crafty, but I can certainly do what you just did.

This is the best DIY art project I have ever seen. Truly chic and true artistic flare. Most diy art look basic AF and art I would actually ever purchase. This is really minimalistic and modern and best of easy!

You could possibly use cake decorating combs to create the textured effect, as well. Interesting technique!

Love them!!! You can also just get a bathroom squeegee and cut pieces out of the rubber edge to make it a similar comb! Works slick!! I’ll try and video a little something...tbd!!
